- Welcome to a week in my life...Where I decide its time to make big moves I hope lead lead in the right direction, Im glad I decided to just share this...felt like I couldn't bring y'all with me... AND I DIDNT LIKE THAT! LOL ... In a perfect world I'd wait until all the work is complete and pull up my haul to start life but life isn't perfect right? so we much push forward and make the not so easy decisions. As positive a person I am this is real life and while not so easy to share the not so pretty parts I know there will be a day I'll look back and be able to smile and what I got through, on my own...
I hope my journey and transparency helps someone along the way....
This is just a week in my life image the past year lmaoooo....Hope your safe and making the best of whatever comes your way!

I remember when we first moved, the house was not complete but livable, so we had water, electricity, AC, a small fridge, a mobile stove, bedding, clothes in bags and stuff in boxes, but no furniture, for a while. yet when we moved it felt so good to move from someone else place to yours. with every new thing added to the house and decorated, we were so happy. enjoy honey and congrats on the progress.

Y’all are both inspirations to me... my sister let me AND my daughter move in with her family so I can fix my credit and save for a house... I’ll be on the market hopefully spring! Nah, wouldn't even sit right with me to just show the highlight reels, I know we will have ALOT OF HIGHS...(claiming it) in this journey to share but whats the reward without the journey/struggles that got me there...Im starting to appreciate that more now than before, helping me to stay hopeful. so thank you much.
I have questioned my decision of becoming a home owner as a single woman, especially after running into maintenance issues as you are. Things have gotten better for me. Keep your head up and I am praying that things are and have gotten better for you.

This is why I haven’t purchased a home yet! I’m scared of mice!!! Deathly afraid!! While I am a clean person, they can still come in through the garage and stuff! I would die, y’all!😫😫My daddy thinks I’m crazy but I’m serious! 😔

I was so happy for u when I seen that the toilets were installed then I saw the water damage and was like omg...I understand your reasoning for semi moving into the hse, I would have done the same. I moved into my house 4 months before I closed. The owner didn't want anyone to break in. So I was 5 months in and did nothing. You are doing the right thing. It's going to be beautiful.

Honestly, as another new homeowner, I Legit love following your videos and seeing the progress you’ve made. I wanted to buy a preexisting home but chickened out knowing that as a FT employee and student, I couldn’t take on the DIY tasks. But I love what you’re doing and you inspire me.

Pretend you are camping. Kitty litter and 5 gallon bucket will be your best friend in case of an emergency. You dont have to share that with family and friends. Dis you check your breakers for the lights not working?

Minus the scary water leak ceiling problem I LOVED this update. Just seeing your move in set up is making it all more real. I’m on the edge of my seat with your renovation. I’m thinking I may be doing a NACA rehab too if I am lucky enough to make it through the process alive ❤️

I was in the same situation with an unlivable house. I was living with a friend who told me that she wanted to help me and I was her sister from another mother.....hah! Come to find out she was telling people that she was ready for me to leave. She never ever said that to me even when I would ask her if she was still okay with me being there. On top of that I never asked her to stay with her. She was insistent on me to live with her. I wish I would have just moved into my unfinished house much earlier. Needless to say we are no longer friends.
I can only imagine the frustration you've been through but it will be worth it at the end. This video was dated October so i hope you are in by the holiday's.

I think it’s a good idea that you decided to share. When we bought this house we did so because we thought we should. Great experience but it’s overrated. For the same reason you said. You just never know what’s next. Every noise, creek, etc., the “how much is this gonna cost” crosses your mind.... uhhhg

Hey, Im sorry you are going through so much! I didn't know NACA allow you to buy such a big rehab home. I bought through NACA and closed in Aug and they were picky through my inspection. Everything would go well and you would be enjoying your home soon! 😊

@@samirahwilliams2166 Just mentally prepare yourself for whatever they come out with, even if its something they have asked you over and over. Going through NACA is a PROCESS, but if you have patience, it would be all worth.

I feel you on the utilities boo.We have moved in several rentals to where we’ve had only enough to pay deposit and first month’s rent but lived almost a month without lights and water.I know your struggle but you will get there.

I think a contractor should have to sign a contract on the time limit on completion from one to the other. A home owner shouldn’t have to worry when they are coming to do certain things and if not done. A price reduction should be implemented.

Maybe put a tarp under the air bed....just a suggestion 😀
You can get a heavy duty tarp from Walmart or Home Depot and put it between the bed and the particle board as a barrier !!!
