- Leaving RUclips and social media for my mental health gave me a new perspective of life in Denmark for foreigners!
See how this American started to view Denmark differently after a change occurred after nearly 7 years in Denmark! Хобби
I can recommend getting a cat as a cure against depression. No matter how sorry you feel for yourself, your cats don't care. Instead they show you what life is really about: Eating, sleeping and being entertained. Plus the occasional zoomies. Kind of put your whole life in perspective. Cheers from Copenhagen!
Wonderful to hear you are feeling better!
🎉 Good to have you back again. Gælder mig til at se mere fra dig, håber det bliver ved med at være godt for jer her i Danmark 😊
You are such a loveable person and I wish you all the best in life!! ❤
Good to hear from you, Kelly, I was wondering about your fate as I follow USA citizens who move to Europe. I can understand your situation somehow: I was a high school teacher and I moved to Vienna, Austria, 50 years ago to be with my then Austrian boyfriend, then Austrian husband, now Austrian ex-husband (time goes on!) However, I never went through this stage of "what am I, where am I" as I was so excited to learn a new culture, get used to European life and get myself absorbed in my future in Austria. As soon as I arrived I knew I would never return to the States. As they say, "you made your nest, now live in it". I have never once looked back.
I'm so sorry you've been through such a hard time... I always enjoyed your posts, and TBH, I was under the impression that everything was hunky-dory from day 1....
I truly hope you find your place and feel great ☺️👍👋
There's always a rainbow after the rain😊 Im so happy on your behalf. I'm glad to hear that you still like our country.
I was and will still be a keen follower of your videos.
I wish you the best of luck and stay mellow.
Your Danish is so much better than you give yourself credit for.
Danes speaking English make mistakes, too, and we have accents, etc. And you understand us anyway. So it’s the same, when you speak Danish ❤
We all need a break to evaluate from time to time. Happy for you getting help and guidance in a difficult period and getting through with a positive outlook. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.. To quote Benny Andersen: Livet er ikke det vaerste man har, og om lidt er kaffen klar!
You look så much more relaxed - good for you ❤❤❤
Nice to see your beautiful smile again. Glad you like living here in Denmark.
Hi Kelly. It's great to hear from you again. I'm sorry to hear things were that rough for you, but I'm also delighted that you're feeling better :D
Glad to have you back. Thank you for sharing; I’m sure it will help someone who is struggling with any type of major life change. Looking forward to the new videos. Take care. ❤️
Sounds really good that you have, if not found, then on the way to finding your own balance in your Danish life. I think a lot of us have to learn to be a bit more selfish, in order for us to have real energy to be there for others. Because if you don't find that balance, you will end up feeling some kind of miserable: stress, depression, anxiety and so forth. But it can be so hard, and I can only imagine how much harder it is when you also have some small human beings (aka kids) to take care of.
In short: happy to see and hear that you are all in all happy :D.
You look/feel different in a very good way. I am so glad you feel better
Hi Kelly, great that you are back on track again. I think a lot of us immigrants have been through similar. Take care of yourself x

Håber du har tid og lyst til at laver nogle flere video. 🥰
Omg, that’s soooo true! I’m extremely glad that you have finally found your peace here in Denmark 🇩🇰 it takes ages sometimes to settle down and just enjoy your life instead of always stressing out because of we (immigrants) are not fluent in danish after living here for couple of years, or because it’s not easy to assimilate here. ‘Ting tager tid’ - we all need to keep it in mind. I do feel you, and I hope one day I’ll also finally breathe out and just enjoy the life as much I did back in my country 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I dont think, people really understands how it is to be an "immigrant", it takes huge courage and effort, to say "I'm now a citizen of this country. This is my home and my people", I think it is embedded in us, that we dont want to try to force our way into something, we might not be allowed to be a part of, or we're afraid that we won't be accepted maybe. But truth be told, Anyone who lives in Denmark, who embraces denmark, and wants the country to be good for the people and everyone else, is a dane (obviously you need a citizenship eventually to have it on paper too) but if you connect with a people, and want to be a part of the society and can relate to the direction the country is going in, then you're one of us. Thats just my opinion.
It is ok to call yourself "American dane" or "American", or "Dane" w/e you want, it makes no difference, and it is important to remember where you came from, and where your roots were, but we're humans, we can adapt to so much if we allow ourself. I myself feel that any person can be a part of who i associate with, if they're likeminded and share a love for the people, it doesn't matter where you came from, what you believe in, or what you look like. If you're a part of the team, your're in as a equal
Yeah - hun er tilbage 😊👍
Nice. Looking good too 👌
Good luck on the job hunt!
Could you sing some french songs as you did the danish birthday song. I would like to hear you sing in french because it reminds me of a lullaby. Please and thank you
