I see so many place selling replacements for these and never really understood why until now lol. I guess that's not as much of a problem in NY. Great video as always bro!

I thought it gets pretty hot there during the summer? But Thanks!

@@InlineSixAuto It does but only for a short time. So theoretically it'll only be exposed to the heat for a short period of time throughout the year

First BMW always like to use those cheap sticky plastic; second, BMW always like to make a simple parts replacement so complicated.

Good video, mine's gonna need this soon ill probably do it next summer. On the really hot days where I parked outside the door handles basically became glue dispensers.

Thanks for the video! I just did the change and it works perfectly. Thanks for the heads up that the window may not work, I tried not unplugging the controller and still able to remove the 2 plug though it’s rather troublesome with all the cables dangling.

Shesh didnt realize this was a $1200 job lol. A pair of these cost around $20. Glad I could help save yourself from blowing $1200 on this.

I think your window connection is still good and most likely just has to be reset since it was disconnected. I know on my Lexus I had to reset the windows by holding up each window button individually for a few seconds then they reset. Hope thats what it is. BMWs are finicky like that. Great video btw and enjoy your content.

I ended up just buying another used window switch and it ended up working immediately after installing it. But I did look into it and resetting it was a possible solution.

What are the size of these Torx screws?

Mine is starting to do that, it's all sticky for some reason and cleaning it seems to only make it worst. I'm just avoiding touching it lol

Lol you just got to replace them. It'll be relieving once you do not having to worry about that anymore

Bro I replaced the handles but the drivers side window switch won’t work now, guessing need to change fuse, the switch itself or need to reset it somehow, ugh damn BMW

This actually happened to me also after did the replacement. I had to buy another used window switch and it worked fine after.

I would think it’s generally the same processes but the location of screws and connection points may be different
