Came here to request a cosplay run. After every boss you must change to the equipment of another NPC (you likely have to start as Pyromancer for the Laurentius cosplay). There are enough NPCs with their own armor and weapons that each boss will have different equipment, it should be a very unique challenge. With some Faith, some Int, some Pyromancy, and a bunch of weapons!

Amazing run idea. Darksouls 3 but fists only overloaded no rings except for carthus bloodring(it makes you take more damage but more dodge i-frames) every boss and enemy is dark eater midir and every minute a random button on your controller stops working (only one can stop at a time)
I like how you make this challenge even more challenging by going around with the snake ring equip instead some more useful one. You could equip it after killing the boss to the +20% bonus.
Tbf I don't think there's any ring that would have helped the bow out specific except hawk (and maybe Leo?) I mean there's some general ones like haves and FaP but
Sometimes I look back at ds1/ ds2 and wonder what it would be like if they got remade. Not just pretty graphics like demon's souls. A from the ground up rebuild in a new engine with new physics and all. Imagine bosses like artorias, gwyn, manus, raime , alonne, or hell even fodder bosses like capra demons with gael levels of hyper crack flowing through them. Might be scary as hell but would also be cool to see someday down the line, one can dream.
I'd be very conflicted about that. The Artorias boss fight is my favorite boss of all of From Software, with Dark Souls 1's more careful and methodical style of gameplay being by far my favorite of the series, so making that a Gael-style hypercrack fight might actually be a less enjoyable experience for me.

Remove the jank, smooth out the animations, and such. The player would move faster and more fluidly, so, the bosses would move faster and more fluidly etc. If the game got upgraded the bosses would likely be upgraded to. It would make sense if the limited movesets of ds1 got expanded, more chain combos, more acrobatics in smaller/slimmer bosses, and in artorias's case more abyss themed powers and such. Expanding the moveset would be logical. Now psycho bosses like manus? Hyper crack the hell out of him (he kinda already is) the out of the way and optional Uber bosses should feel like pain personified, but, that's just me.
A challenge that I always imagined and I don't know if it is possible, is if it is possible to pass the game only using equipment that its description relates to Oolacile or is directly obtained there.

A Wanted: Dead ad on a Dark Souls challenge run is insane. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a RUclips ad read for a single-player, non mobile, non 'games as a service' game. Especially not one that's nearly a year old. Fittingly bizarre marketing for that game. I highly recommend checking out Jacob Gellar's video on it if you're not familiar with the game beyond an ad telling you to buy it.

This is true but if I recall correctly in DS1 you are required to two hand a bow before shotting it, so open handed parry > two hand > draw arrow > fire would probably be too slow
Wait does that mean +5 dark moon bow is the same as + 10 composite bow? I thought composite bow was the best because it had the highest rate of fire/least ending lag? haha
yeah so the tldr is with standard arrows, the +5 bow only really does as much as composite +10, ish. and its all magic damage, so its only really good versus certain enemies where as composites physical damage is good against just about anything i was confused as to why you did moonlight arrows specifically when you could use any arrow except for dragonslayer and goughs arrows
You still have to go through the main room of the ghost house, unless the enemy aggro trigger is on the door? either way you can also just snipe him from outside the ghost house lol
I was referring to the model of the church not aligning properly so you can see through the seem. The joke about v snapping was from Unity (I know Ds isn't made in unity) where you can hold v to click and drag a vector of a model, and it'll snap to another, so you have them right up against each other

This was less painful than I would have thought. You need more restrictions next time. Any time you feel like you might be having fun, you have to throw away your entire inventory sans Estus.

I just beat the final boss of Ringed City DLC from Dark Souls 3. I was getting absolutely demolished until I switched to Desert Pyromancer set and beat him first try (it took 14 mins though) Bikini armor is best armor 😂
I heard that the titanite demons get harder the fewer there are of them left rather than the later ones are just harder. So like the awkward ones in Sen's are possibly best to start with seen as they will weakest then. But that was just word of mouth 🤷♂️
