It's been 32 years and still I dream of playing. Over the course of my life I've had to endure various surgeries, and the anesthesia can have funny effects on you. I've always prided myself on being a resilient person and not letting whatever my inward struggles show outwardly as I believe life is a lot of suffering as well as happiness, and we just have to bear whatever cards we are given while having some dignity too. But anyway, the anesthesia from one of my later surgeries kind of stripped that emotional wall away, not by my choice, and I just find some guitar playing or profound songs of my youth bring me to tears. I find it hard to deal with as I can't hold it back if I wanted to, and part of me finds it embarrassing. I unfortunately discovered Gary Moore late in life. His playing has so much soul, and so much pain. Listen to this live version of Parisienne Walkways and tell us what you think. My best friend introduced me to REO in my senior year (79') of high school and I have been a fan ever since. It took 38 years (2017) before i got to see them in concert and it was well worth the wait!! Would love to hear you review "Roll With The Changes". Peace!!
"Say you love me or say goodnight","Lucky For You", "Roll with the changes", "In Your Letter", Wheels Are Turnin', "Rock N Roll Star", "Tough Guys", and "157 Riverside Avenue"
I haven't thought about Tough Guy in forever! God that was such fun to dance to! And which song was The Little Rascals preface about the He Man Women Hater Club?
I had the privilege to meet and talk to Kevin Cronin on one of my flights in the late 90's. Incredibly nice man, very personable, very receptive to this fan. We talked about a lot of my favorite songs of the band's, including I Do'Wanna Know (hint, hint). Really glad you're finally doing R. E. O. (note the periods and spaces between the letters) Speedwagon.
Yo brother.... react to “Driven to Tears” By The Police ft Robert Downey Jr lol. It’s a live performance but wait until you hear Iron Man Tony Stark sing!!!
REO has been around a long time, 1967 - Present? Their big hits were late 70's to late 80's. I like their 2nd album in 1972 R.E.O./T.W.O which had "Like You Do" & "Golden Country". In 1973 they had a big hit with "Ridin' The Storm Out".
I often hear you speak of the emotion of a broken heart and how you appreciate song writers expressing these feelings and emotions. I strongly suggest you do a reaction to Peter Gabriel and Love To Be Loved. I think you'll really appreciate it. Gabriel was a founding member of Genesis and is as good, arguably better, than Phil Collins.
Takes me right back to my early teens and all the late night parties we would always have 2 albums on repeat, REO Speedwagon and Foreigner 4.....good times man good times.
I think REO was the first group that made me realize that music was becoming my daughter's love. I worked a summer at a recreation program for kids and a local jukebox company loaned us a jukebox so the kids could play music for free while they spent the day with us. OMG, REO had like 5 songs on there and they got played over and over and over again. lol But today, I still like listening to those songs. Thanks for your reaction, Jamel. Hoping you and the Mrs. are doing well and staying healthy. Peace.
Love your reaction to this song. You appreciate what these artists are feeling in their lyrics as well as the music. That's why you're the best reaction channel on RUclips hands down

My best friend introduced me to REO in my senior year (79') of high school and I have been a fan ever since. It took 38 years (2017) before i got to see them in concert and it was well worth the wait!! Would love to hear you review "Roll With The Changes". Peace!!
At 69yo, Kevin Cronin still has the same energy.

Need to listen to some Cheap Trick!
I so love your reactions,I’ve been here a couple of months and can’t get enough ❤️
"Say you love me or say goodnight","Lucky For You", "Roll with the changes", "In Your Letter", Wheels Are Turnin', "Rock N Roll Star", "Tough Guys", and "157 Riverside Avenue"
Love 157 Riverside Avenue!
I haven't thought about Tough Guy in forever! God that was such fun to dance to! And which song was The Little Rascals preface about the He Man Women Hater Club?
Loving you doing these!!! R E O is great - lots of memories....
I definitely like this song better than the others.
Saw them with Def Leppard a couple years ago, they were amazing, stole the show
I saw them in concert about 3 years ago, and they can still rock the house!!
How about "Mother, Father" by Journey. Please! Perry's best vocals-Live in Houston
I've been asking for this forever. The last 30 secs of Steve Perry's falsetto will blow his mind. We need this reaction!
Amazing suggestion
@@metalmcfly7312 me too
@@metalmcfly7312 It was amazing!!!
Steve Perry was not playing!!! Beautiful vocals on that song
Love that. Wolf Man Jack. This was one of there great song. They have so many great hits over the years. This came out originally in 1978!
Pete Gabriel - "Biko" .... video sent to instagram DM!
Mary, YES!!! Great great song. Loved Joan Baez cover of the song too. ❤️
On of my fave bands when I was in Jr High school. They still ROCK! Saw them several times in concert! Excellent song! 💜🎤🎶🎸🎧
It’s interesting that he’s playing his acoustic with his thumb in an alternate tuning.
He looks like a non-guitarist playing a guitarist for one song. :-) Oh well... when you can sing like that, you can get away with a lot.
I've seen him talk about why he does it, I forget the story, but I'm sure it's on you tube...
Wow incredible! How can a band sound better live than than the studio version! Thank you Jamel. I love this band. I wish I could have seen them live.
You still can (well after this covid bs)
You gotta do the live album version of "Ridin' The Storm Out."
Their best song, in my opinion.
I agree....best by far!
One of favorite songs from my favorite band. I recently told my friends and family to play this at my funeral. Seriously
Yo brother.... react to “Driven to Tears” By The Police ft Robert Downey Jr lol. It’s a live performance but wait until you hear Iron Man Tony Stark sing!!!
AWESOME Video - I've watched it so many times.
Kelly LaFlash it’s amazing and he sounds amazing. Honestly, he could record his own album if he wanted too I’m sure.
If anyone wants a quick link - RDJ's got the pipes - Sting's 60th birthday concert - ruclips.net/video/aQbOF-RKLgQ/видео.html
Kelly LaFlash yes thank you lol I was trying to find a way to get Jamel to check this out because he’s going to be blown away
Have you seen this one? ruclips.net/video/bhheV1Em3m0/видео.html
Love your reactions! Thank you for making my day many times.
Next: Ridin the Storm Out.
R.E.O. Speedwagon.
Awesome thanks for playing it. Not heard it in yrs.
That's why you're the best reaction channel on RUclips hands down
Yes he is... Love this band
One of my favorite bands. Their Hi Infidelity album is my go to if stranded on a deserted island. I got to see them in concert and it was the best! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
Joy, peace and love to you too brother. What a great message.
Absolutely love your fresh to the sounds, genuine reaction to all of this music. You say “rio”, us old folks know it’s R-E-O and we love you all the more for your approach!
My husband and I saw REO last summer. Imagine 20,000 fans singing every word of this song. It was awesome!
My favorite REO song! Loved your reaction!
Love his voice!! LOVE THIS BAND!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've been on this Earth a long time and theres nothing like 80's rock. I'm so thankful for growing up in this tine.
Thank you, man! You brighten our evening!
Kevin Cronin is a great songwriter and performer. Glad you finally got to these guys. REO Speedwagon is still one of my favorite bands.
Thanks Jamel. Love REO!
Saw them in the 80'S at
the Buffalo war memorial.
Could not believe that voice
came out of Kevin's skinny body. Great on stage moves
too.
Please react to "Tough Guys". One of their best.
