    I noticed you mentioned when the boy who was put under hypnosis described the assailants, he said they had gold-rimmed sunglasses. And when the main suspects were seen at a bar, they both had sunglasses on. This may be a coincidence but it’s an odd detail the boy would have made up on his own.

    Oh my moneys definitely on Marty and his friend- my gut says Marty was there to exact revenge on Sue and his friend had an eye for little girls. That would explain why Sue and Tina seemed to be the main targets, because they probably were, only for two different reasons from two different men. Also the story of them going to the bar in three piece suits acting fools is making me think they were high & drunk out of their minds and once they left the bar they started gassing each other up and wanted to get into some animalistic mayhem. That’s when they went to Sue’s house. And they just got lucky that the cops in that little town had no idea (or practice) in how to conduct a murder scene like this so a lot of evidence probably went by the wayside.

    If the two now deceased suspects were the actual killers and kidnappers, two men might equal two motives. Maybe one was murder of the mom because she advised the woman to leave a bad marriage, and the other was to kidnap a kid for whatever devious reason. This could have been an agreement between the men and so they helped each other with thier goals.

    • @adelano99
      @adelano99 2 года назад +22

      This could also explain why in his confession to the counselor, Marty felt remorse for killing the girl as she was not his target, but his cohorts

    I wonder if there's a correlation between Tina not being allowed to spend the night out and her abduction (if that's what it was). Every time I hear this story, I keep thinking that Tina was the focus of the attack, or she managed to escape and start running but if that were the case you'd think she'd run to the next closest cabin so that theory seems less likely.

    I was an adult when this took place, & every time I hear about the case it’s most horrifying to think of coming back from a sleepover to such an awful scene. That would be terrifying even for an adult to walk in on.
    I don’t want to think that the LE would cover for such horrific mass murderers (without a doubt it was a local, given the time & location Tina was found), but it was the early 80s… women & children were still treated m very much as second class citizens.

    Shane and Ryan who left buzzfeed had a Unsolved Series and they went to the location. While taping they said how unwelcoming this community was. If I am remembering this episode right Cabin 28 doesn't exist anymore, but why in my short brain memory I can't remember.

    Very very true this could be small town hush hush, it seems like that guy from Chicago was linked to the local sheriff's department about drug trade an "informant" but also a dealer himself very likely. It is a very bizarre case! But yes I've seen a few videos on it too. All that after that DNA turned up in 2018 there have been no developments since, (the most likely answer to my mind is that the prosecutor doesn't think it's enough to go on even to bring the person in for serious questioning, and told the sheriff, the state police and the FEDS, to just put it in back storage until a stronger case could be made.

    The case just doesnt make sense. If they were after te young girl, why go in when three teens/ adults will fight to save her instead of snatching her outdoors walking alone? If the mom was the target, why choose a night ehere the house was full of kids? (Kids sleeping over), ofc provided they had scoped the place. Leaves me with two scenarios: 1. Impulse attack, no greater planning, mother and daughter were the main draws. 2. Sadly, maybe mart and his friends and the live suspects were running a pedo ring that enjoyed killing and abducting boys and girls. The mom and son/friend fought back, killed, and the girl was abducted. Leaving the young boys in other room alive makes sense if it was marty with friends cause that was his stepson

    • @donicaburley9163

      I've always believed that the boys walked in after hitch hiking home, Sue was already tied up and probably minutes later after the boys are tied up Tina wakes after hearing a commotion, walks out of her room and saw them and that's when Marty and friend decided they might aswell kidnap her to rape her before killing her.I don't believe they initially planned on killing anyone else but Sue

    • @stephw1702
      @stephw1702 2 года назад +2

      @@donicaburley9163 This is my theory as well. Some sources say it was usual on Friday nights for the kids not to be home. If this is true and the killer(s) knew this then it's very likely Sue was the target. It also could be that, if the boys then Tina interrupted them and the killer(s) felt the need to get rid of witnesses, Tina could have been taken not to risk things continuing to escalate. With the decomposition of her body by the time it was found we will never know what exactly happened to Tina once she was taken from the cabin.

First off I seen a documentary where the woman said she didn’t particularly like them bc they were on food stamps and she didn’t like that. Second Tina wasn’t allowed to stay that night she was over there all day watching tv but she wasn’t allowed to sleep there…why? And lastly if they lived that close how did they not hear anything? Your telling me 3 people were murdered and one was taken and murdered yet nobody made a noise these people got their heads bashed in yet no noise?

    It seems the original investigation was very sloppy or corrupt? Was the hair likely grabbed from an attacker compared with that of the chief suspects? Even without DNA analysis at the time the color, for instance, could have either ruled a suspect in or out? As for hypnosis it’s well known that in this state of suggestibility a patient can absorb outside influences into their reliving the experience And by the second session enough time had gone by that their recollection had possibly or likely been influenced by what they had heard in the meantime. You do have to wonder whether Tina had eloped with an older man and they’d lived together for some time, a bit like the girl in the fictional novel Lolita, who lives with an older man after her mother dies after a violent head injury indirectly caused by the man. That’s fictional of course but i suspect real things like this happened. In Tina’s case after fearing the longer their “relationship” went on the more difficult it would be to keep things hidden the man involved decided coldly to dispose of what had become a problem. It’s a particularly harrowing case and one hopes for some eventual justice or at least closure, as much as can be possible

    So, Marylin had a crazy husband named Marty. Marilyn asked Sue for help. Sue told Marilyn to leave Marty. Marylin told Marty what Sue said. Marty and his trashy friend killed Sue and three children.
    Are we supposed to believe that Marilyn did not know any of this?

    • @amandanegrete1306
      @amandanegrete1306 Год назад +1

      If we are to believe Marilyn that could be what happened.
      Why would Marilyn ask Sue for advice about her husband only to turn around and tell him?
      That doesn’t make sense at all.
      So Marty brutally murdered Dana, Sue and two of her children bc Sue told Marty’s wife to leave if she was unhappy?
      IDK, if Marty felt like Sue was a “threat” to his marriage?
      Seems he would have threatened her and likely terrorized her until she stopped being friends with Marilyn.
      And why would Marty’s friend want to murder an innocent woman and children?
      Even if he was a violent POS, which I can’t confirm, why would he risk killing Sue, Dana and her two children?
      I can see a dirtbag giving a woman hell on his friends behalf.
      I don’t think many people are willing to risk the electric chair to help a friend annihilate a mother and three innocent kids.
      If the two were involved, I HOPE Marilyn didn’t know.
      I just can’t see a mom condoning child murder and who is OK with their partner killing a close friend?
