LagoonRun 2023 | The Tiniest Race in Venice

In this video I summarise my day and give basic insights into one of the tiniest races in the Venitian Lagoon, Italy.
The Lagoon Run is a 11km race for both runners and walkers that starts and ends in Saccagnana and goes up to Lio Piccolo (Venice, Italy).
Yesterday my aunt told me she would take part in the race with her walking club. Today I went along and signed up on the spot.
I came in 4th overall, 3rd in the men category winning a cup for the first time ((and probably last) in my life. What I Loved the most was the variety of the refreshment and the organisation was pretty straightforward.
Races are an amazing way to test your fitness level as a runner. Local races are even nicer and 10km races fit nicely in between bigger projects such as marathons.
I'll definitely look for more local ones either in Italy or wherever I'm gonna end up for work-related reasons.
