This video is an attempt to share some thoughts about the marathon.
As humans we are very complex and I've been wondering for a while how that can be interpreted into a running perspective.
I don't have the tools yet to express all thoughts, and some are probably not even interesting.

I ran my first marathon a few weeks ago, just dipping under 3 hours, and I also felt a bit underwhelmed by it all. Even though I’d just run the 7th fastest marathon for my age group in the UK this year, it felt like just another race.
Well firstly well done. Nothing can take that away. Secondly, interesting to see there is a feeling of unsatisfaction linked to races shared by other runners. Thanks for sharing your opinion
I stopped doing many competitions long time ago, as the prices started to increase to much. Now I prefer to set my goals in training instead of competition. Do the long run/swim just a little bit longer. Improving or reaching old interval times from when I was in top form and so on. The feeling of seeing your training times improve throughout a year is more gratifying then doing the competition itself. Your goals become also more long term and you do not get this empty feeling after the competition you were training for.
I can totally see your point , focusing on the journey rather than the end. Many thanks for sharing!

Ciao Giuseppe, sono scarpe senza pretese che come le sorelle minori le Hyperion Tempo, fanno il loro lavoro in termini di velocità pur mantenendo una certa fermezza. A fine maratona non ho avuto problemi e comunque io sono tendente a pronazione e atterraggio di retropiede quindi una forma di corsa non biomeccanicamente "ideale" secondo vari ricercatori. Se sei abituato a scarpe Brooks (di cui in Italia ne andiamo matti) e non devi correre una maratona velocissima, puoi pensarci. Se stai puntando a una gara sotto le 3 ore, magari trovi qualche super shoe della stagione passata in sconto. Problemi da tenere a mente delle Hyperion Max: la linguetta scende e si infossa una volta che si inizia a correre. A me non ha creato fastidio ma è strano. Probabilmente qualcuno online offre già la soluzione. Ciao e buona maratona!
@@runfilmsleep grazie mille!! Per la maratona vorrei stare sulle 3:30h e peso 79kg ad oggi! È la prima scarpa che ho preso di brooks ma mi ha dato subito un bel feedback. Solo stavo cercando consigli poiché a marzo farò la maratona di Roma e non vorreii sbagliare scarpaa

Thinking about running Oslo Marathon in 2024. How do you feel about the course? Is it too hilly?
Not a PB course for sure but it’s nothing you can’t manage without some elevation in your sessions and some strength training. I had it tough in the last 4 km as I was running on tired legs and there is a good hill starting at around the 37th km. But I also hadn’t done any hill stuff and didn’t really train that hard for a sub-3 :)

There was another video short like this that seems to have been taken down, because at the end of the race "Results" were posted that said Jacobs got 3rd place and Sani Brown got 4th! WHEN IN REALITY! it was LYLES, BROWN, OMANYALA AND THEN JACOBS! but those results were actually "Reaction" times at the start! and not the race results...
