    No hours of edge highlight, very simple and easy to follow along plus it looks amazing. Damn you make it seem like this is actually achievable for me to paint.

      Perfect! that's exactly how I want it to come across :) You can totally achieve this, why shouldn't you?
      Just trying to show that by keeping things simple you can still get good looking results

    Gratz on this opportunity James. After watching your video, I must say it is very well deserved.

      Thank you
      It was a fun model to paint and I’m pleased to say it did make it into their article and was even used as the image for the article thumbnail.

      It’s an amazing kit.
      I can’t wait to get some of the new epic scale tanks to put at the feet of mine to really show off it’s scale
      Let me know how yours turns out.
      Mine was painted in a real rush but it was crazy fun to do

    Hot damn that's a beauty. This is basically exactly the colour scheme I want to do for a knight one day, I'm stealing everything from this video! (Though I can basically only get Citadel paints where I live so I'll do my best to substitute...)

    • @BrushstrokePaintingGuides
      @BrushstrokePaintingGuides  Год назад

      Thank you sir 🙏🏻
      I don’t think you can steal anything from a tutorial video, it’s all there for the taking 👍🏻

    Those metallic DecoArt paints are great. I use ice blue on my Night Lords and that looks proper grimy when you slap some agrax earthshade on it afterwards. Nice work !

      @BrushstrokePaintingGuides  3 года назад

      Thank you, yes I did a paint guide a while back for painting a metallic Alpha Legion scheme using Decoart's teal. I've really like them since. Their consistency from bottle to bottle can be very hit and miss, but once you get the hang of thinning them they work great

    After looking at this I don't understand how I got through washing and highlighting my 28mm warlord titan, nice work, while I love titans I don't think I'll be touching them for a bit. Look forward to using some of those techniques on my knights 😁

      A 28mm Titan must be a incredible undertaking. I think I would start enthusiastically and soon start to flag.

    Very neat and clean lined painting job. The purple colour looks interesting, the grey armor plates are a bit sterile for my personal taste. Alas, this is often an issue with large areas of white or light greys. Looking forward to your next project.

      thank you. I totally get the clean look isn't to everyone's taste.
      Would be a great base to build battle damage and weathering on though, if that's the look you prefer

    Many thanks for the excellent step-by-step video. It was great to follow you painting this big boy. As I'm just starting with Adeptus Titanicus it's a great source of inspiration. EspeciallyI love the colour scheme. Could you tell me which legio it is from and mayber even in which book it is covered?
    Cheers
    Stefan

      Thank you 🙏🏻
      So glad you enjoyed the video
      In terms of which legio it would be, I think purple, white and gold is Legio Xestobiax.
      As for which book that would be in, I’m really not sure I’m afraid.
      I don’t think it’s one of the common legios so I suspect it’s not in any book.
      Adeptus Titanicus groups on Facebook are probably a good place to ask for more accurate details 👍🏻

    Can you give me an idea as to how many hours this took? It’s such a clean finish I’m in awe. Great job. I’m just about finishing my Warmaster and I’ve lost track of how long it took 😂😂

      Thank you
      Erm I’m not too sure on the hours but I do remember it had to be done over a weekend, as it was for a deadline article.
      So, I guess around 12 hours maybe 🤔
      I had planned to add decals and some freehand but ran out of time.
      Since then, I’m sort of glad I didn’t as I like the uncluttered look of it

    • @BrushstrokePaintingGuides

      I believe it's a 0.4 needle. It's my go to for priming and basing

      @@BrushstrokePaintingGuides ok thank you, ill get a larger needle as mine is only 0.2 which is fine on the flat craft paints butbthe metallics block up. Thanks.

    You do really good work in my opinion. How many hours/days did you put into this?

    • @BrushstrokePaintingGuides
      @BrushstrokePaintingGuides  3 года назад +2

      Thank you. For this the airbrush speeded up the base coating massively.
      I'd say, all told it was about 10 hours spread over a week
      I'm not a full-time painter, so I have to fit it in around busy work life

    When assembling the panels do you use plastic or super glue?

    • @BrushstrokePaintingGuides
      @BrushstrokePaintingGuides  3 года назад +1

      I scratch a little paint off each piece so I can get plastic to plastic contact and then use superglue to fix them together.
