Awesome video, as usual. I've plucked up the courage to do my Interfector flames like your Fureans ones thanks to this video and they've come out well too. Thanks! 👍
Your videos are truely wonderful - thank you for making them. Love all the Titanicus ones especially; it's a great game with really great models, and seeing you bring them to life is incredible!
Thanks for the content. And thanks for showing the matt varnish. Always had the issue with matt varnish, that it left a shine after applying it with a brush. Only airbrush helped with that. Good to know there are alternatives.
2:50 Thinning the paint more and slowly building up your opacity will reduce speckling; so will upping the pressure (if you want to keep working with thicker layers), but not as much as the thinning. I am pretty sure you know this, but mentioning it just in case (also for other viewers that might read this).
One of your most accessible video's to date! As in, I can see myself doing this not problem, while some other more masterclass stuff could proof to be a little too much out of reach.
Thank you for another great tutorial. I'm not into Adeptus Titanicus but I really enjoy watching your tutorials. They have helped with my own brush control. I would really like to hear your take on some magnifier headsets/glasses. I've got cheap ones from green stuff world that do the trick but are rather uncomfortable as you mentioned as well. It would be interesting to know if the more expensive ones can deliver better performance in that regard as well.
yes, please! do a video about the headsets. i am using an amazon one also, but find it of very poor quality. i am looking for a better quality one, but can´t find it. great, great video
perhaps look into magnifying lamps. I have two; one for work and one on my hobby desk. They definitely help with detail and my 49 year old eyeballs are grateful for the lack of strain. :)
Instead of starting with XV-88 or Yriel Yellow, you can start with Mournfang Brown, that way you cover the black primer faster en the Yriel Yellow will also look a little warmer. I have used a similar scheme recently and chose a little more desaturated brown (Beasty Brown Vallejo Game Color) for my shadow color, to get a little more natural looking shade.
You can use Tamiya Flat White over a black undercoat, followed by Tamiya Flat Yellow. This is really useful when painting hazard lines. The only issue is that Tamiya paints need their own thinner and colour matching with Citadel stuff can be a hassle. But I'd still recommend it as a great way to paint large areas of yellow fast.
So pleased that you - one of my favorite painters - is into Titanicus. what forces have you got now Rich? enough to game with? Any plans to do terrain? Would love to see a Diorama beetween two or more War Engines, or Breaching a certain Palace wall....
1:10 The standard 200ml bottle from Vallejo doesn't have the best nozzle. Putting some airbrush thinner in a dropper is also a great way to be more precise with how much airbrush thinner you use.
Another great titanicus video thanks richard! I look forward to seeing the nurgle titan on your website! A video on the headsets would be useful too. I never really though about using them! Do you find that they help quite alot with small detail work?
absolutely phenomenal! very easy to follow and understand the process! your work is, as always, very impressive! what kind of brush are you using when you are painting the black flame work? Thank you so much for making this tutorial!
Awesome tutorial. Thank you for that. One question regarding the armour plates, like the backplate in the video. Do you also paint the undersite of such a plate (the site which gets glued on)? Or would it be invisible, once they are attached to the body? Cheers!
Please, please, please, please upload more free videos! This is so great when painters just show us how they paint stuff for free! So tiresome when everything is hidden behind a Patreon paywall. Many demand payment for their way of painting, when in reality non of us have time or skill to paint up to theirs level. We are just simle and kinda broke hobbyists, who just want to find some free tips on how to paint their models they have already spent lots of money on. Not even mentioning paints, tools, gaming stuff, books, terrain and god knows what else. We do really appreciate what you do for us. Helping us, mortals, to make our hordes of plastic look great on the table. Cheers, Richard!
Those flames are like candy.
Thanks for giving me the confidence to freehand my own Legio Fureans! It really made my warhounds look so much better
The moment you say I use a 0.4 needle and you proceed to use the syringe to fill the airbrush got me :P. Amazing work as always.
Love this Titanicus stuff!
I've got a number of AT-scale Fureans titans I need to paint, once I can prime them properly. This was some very good inspiration. :)
I’ve always had a desire to do some Legio Fureans and after watching this excellent tutorial that itch is definitely intensifying. 😃🤘🏻
oooh! Spoilers!
I love this "gaming" style with true metalics! Absolutely brilliant tutorial!
Getting ready to do fureans for titanicus, this helped a bunch with picking colors!

Loving the AT content! :)
Looking forwards to the Nurgle engine, and the NDA hints.
Thanks! I love titans, so expect more :D
Stunning paintjob Richard and a lovely video. Thanks for that!

Thank you so much for these videos. Everyone of them teaches me something new to try out on my own projects.
You sir just earned yourself a new subscriber 👍🏻 looking forward to future videos!
So many skills here! Love your style even though my own is very different, I’ve borrowed a few of your tips into my toolkit

Love your tutorials 👌🏼
Oh, I just bought a Adeptus titanicus reaver titan!
Perfect timing!

Get into titanicus my dude, the models are so details that however bad you paint them they still look good :D

@@troynixeycomix thank you! but i personally prefer headset for mobility reasons.
@@roninklaus5379 fair enough. I hope you find a pair that works for you. :D
Lovely yellow! I’m interested in your video about magnification headsets for sure - as a fellow big head with eye strain. ;)

Richard, will you be filming the Nurgle Titan project? If so, will it be on RUclips?

Headset Video would be great
Love him!! Do you have any recommendations for doing scratches on Titan trim? I'm not sure how to go about it at this scale

The more titanicus the better!
Rich, try a Tattoo Artist lamp instead, has a 5in lens and white LEDs. Better than headsets
Totally agree. I use magnifying lamps for work and for miniatures. They're great!
What psi and thiner do you normally use for citadel paints? Ty and nice work on titan!
Did you not pay attention in the beginning?
Any Horus heresy on the way? 😉

You must buy Morfang Brown in 10 litre sizes. 😐
clean your airbrush. 🤣
