Hey guys!
Time to shred a series that I actually haven't even touched until now! Fire Emblem has such an amazing legacy of games with some awesome music, and I definitely will be continuing to jam some this series!
I've been wanting to do this theme for a looooong time. I'm sure a lot of you guys know it from Super Smash Bros. as well. The original piece is so metal with those triumphant epic melodies over that kick ass 1, 6m, 4m 5 progression. It just screams power metal.
And speaking of Power Metal. That's exactly the mindset I had going into this arrangement, I wanted this to sound like some straight up European dad metal with vocals about dragons and wizards (minus the vocals about dragons and wizards). It's rare that a piece allows me to rock out this hard so I had such a blast pedaling the root note on bass and letting the guitars riff their face off.
Overall i'm super stoked on how this turned out and I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.

The EQ for my guitars always changes really drastically over the course of making a project, so I know how you feel. Still, this sounds great!
loads of people actually overboost the bass, so following that up with a somewhat sizable trebble boost while reducing the gain/volume slightly should help the lead pop out a bit more, while at the same time, allowing the throaty sounds of the bass to shine as well.

Very good arrangement. Great introduction with a great musical reference and added harmony. Then you lead into a momentum building riff. You continue building upon it, adding harmony again, gaining altitude to reach back into the main theme. All of the use of harmony was extremely appropriate. The legato filler was very a nice touch. Main theme, full use of "call and answer" techniques provided by the song, amplified by you. The solo very succinct. Great introductory note, falling triplets, down to a target note, quick triplets up, and now a great pattern at 8th note speed, into a bluesy little salute out, and now a soft interlude for contrast. One final reference and out. Great arrangement. Very intuitive musical instincts, and all quotes were correct and all embellishments were satisfying.

Hearing this song in Brawl was my first exposure to Fire Emblem. The Fire Emblem series always gets some of the hypest remixes in Smash, and this perfectly adds to the hype!

Ah yes, the song that lets you know that something badass and awesome is going on.
Love it! I highly enjoy that you mix up the arrangement on these tracks. It keeps it more interesting. Adding those sort of "Bridge Riffs" that connect the parts and adding acoustic parts helps fill out the song.
Finding good Fire Emblem covers is difficult. You certainly did it justice! Now if only I can find someone who would do the Black Fang theme ..
