However, the AMG GT 63s does perform good on race tracks, it is one of the best 4 door cars around the ring. And also, they need to make the GT lighter, 2.1 tons is just too much, especially considering that Bimmers are usually lighter. However, as an E Class fan and owner, I am pretty happy watching the W213 giving a good fight!
David García Gt63s is too heavy. But it's so surprising how fast it is around the track. It beats the M5 by more than 10secs.(Nurburgring) However it has no chance against the M8/5 on a straight line. There is a new video about M8 vs Gt63s. A Russian guy did a high speed roll race. He managed to push the top limiter of both cars. They both raced until 307km/h. M8 was pulling all the time. I seriously didn't expect that. I thought the Merc would have easily beat any M8/5 on high speeds. Because of it's gearbox and the number of the torque. 900+nm is no joke! Btw they're all amazing machines. And they easily make the Audi cry when it comes to performance. I just expected to see the Gt63s faster. You are right,it needs to become lighter. Btw they are not planning for a lighter version. They are planning for a hybrid Gt73e. Which I don't like it. I prefer to ride a pure V8.
Amazing video, in Aus a E63 S fully loaded with carbon ceramics out of a dealer is $260k and a GT 4 door S your looking at $375k fully loaded also with the carbon ceramics. That just shows there isn’t much in it for that price. The results would be the identical between the new BMW M8 and the M5 comp.

It would be the same.. the FAMILY STATION WAGON E63S is fast as hell... Only possible from the Mercedes. No other manufacturers can do that. The sedan version's best run was 11.2 sec, so did the station wagon here.
I mean, we have here plenty of Mercedes reviews, tests and great races, against several and impressive rivals. Heck, they even raced with the SLR!!! And yes, as AMG fans sometimes have to deal with defeat, anyway its great to see the stars giving their A game here 😁
I was wondering AMG's estates look so appealing lately and then i figured it out - they took a page from Audi's book when they used to build really nice fast estates. Make it extremely fast, but with very subtle differences with the base model which only a well trained eye could spot. I really really like the sleeper look and that E63 definitely manages to pull it off better than the last 2 generations of RS6s and RS4s. If AMG and Audi keep that trend, really soon i might convert from Audi to an AMG fan.

The E looks lowered. That can affect the ability to launch, because there is less weight transfer to the back wheels.
