You know this kinda makes me glad that out of all of the streamers I've met, and went into their chat to say ggs, they've always been super respectful and nice no matter how I played during the match. Whether I was playing terribly or playing with strong perks. So it always breaks my heart hearing about streamers like this.
Reminds me of a time my friends and I went against a TTV Ghostface who was live. I 4% off the hook and hit him with DS at the gate and gave a couple of teabags and went to his chat and was like 'I deserved the teabag, I should've respected the 4%' and was super respectful and nice to talk to
This kind of behaviour is why I no longer drop by twitch streams to say GG when I'm playing killer. My most recent interaction is a perfect example. While she didn't outright use hateful speech, slurs or anything like that she did say in a rather condescending tone that I "shouldn't play that way and you could have just picked the other guy up and hooked him." Context: I was playing Doctor on Leroy's Memorial. I end up finding the streamer right away and downing her and putting her on hook. After this her three teammates begin swarming the area in an attempt to save her. Fast forward a minute and a half later I now have 8 stacks of Save the Best For Last, only one gen has popped, the streamer is halfway through second stage, my obsession attempted to save her and got grabbed and I left him on the ground so I now can't lose my stacks and the other two are still hanging around trying to save her so I had no reason to leave the area
Yeah, I can definitely feel that. When a friend gifted me the game on Steam (because I had quit on Xbox because of toxic messages) I was playing Doctor because he's always been my main since before his rework, I only had one perk slot, and I got one kill, and the prestige 3 Dwight I killed just HAD to call me a "homo killer" in the end game chat.

This is just such a shame. As someone who does stream dbd, this behaviour is just shite. I'm considering putting TTV in my name to have more interaction in the game as well, since some killers like to come in and say hi, which is honestly so cute! Or fellow survivors come in to say hi and who they were, which is also cute!! That, and potentially getting someone who will tunnel/camp me for TTV in the name, which could be super fun to try and win against Thanks for the video Spooks, always enjoy seeing how your perspective and logic in situations, and especially love the vids and basement booba

About time somebody addresses how entitled many TTVs are on DBD. I’ve met a handful of nice ones, but many are so incredibly gross. I feel like it has to do with their 3 constant viewers in their chats who do nothing but toot their horn and support every action/word they utter. It goes to their head.
I don't understand how people like these have communities behind them, there's so many nice and refreshing personalities on TTV that have almost no viewership yet these people do? Goes to show what much of the DbD community likes to watch and entertain imho.

This was a great video! I have indeed encountered the same thing. I tried to hop into a killer's stream with a GGWP and just got ragged on by him and his community who assumed I was there to rub it in his face. It's sad because not only should we learn to support each other as fellow TTVs, but we should be trying to support ourselves as humans. I just don't understand why people get so mad at this game. It's like clearly these angry people didn't live through 2020, because then they would realize there are bigger things in life to get upset about.

Hes trying to call out the toxicity without sinking into it himself. Which can be a very hard thing to do at times.
@@kinroga Well, it is definitely a difficult thing to do, but that's why I'm also hanging around. 'cause I can recognize the good he's trying to promote.
Isn't someone telling their viewers to go harass people a ban-worthy offense on Twitch? But yeah, she is right, toxic people like her are why I can't stand to play public matches anymore, it's not worth putting up with when I can just play anything else.
I deleted my game because of the community and the fact that the DEVS either don't see this or just don't care. I enjoyed the game for what it is but when playing killer I would get a lot of crying and hate for playing how I wanted. I don't think I'll ever play it again. I appreciate what you do in exposing these entitled players.
Damn. This sucks to hear, man. I hope you manage to find enjoyment in this when the devs give a shit.
You did gud frien, do not play this game again
I get hate all the time and it literally never bothers me. If it gets too out of hand I’ll just leave the lobby. Can’t let other people dictate your choices in life.

@@fishy492 he only really calls out toxic people when he goes against them but not submitted videos like spooks does. Not saying he has to do what spooks does just telling my view on the difference between the two that's all.
You know this kinda makes me glad that out of all of the streamers I've met, and went into their chat to say ggs, they've always been super respectful and nice no matter how I played during the match. Whether I was playing terribly or playing with strong perks. So it always breaks my heart hearing about streamers like this.
I was going to say this too! I follow almost every single ttv ive went against and even SWFed with some afterwards. Literally they're all so lovely
Yes, i may only have 100 hours but every single ttv i have seen was really chill and made seeing ttv's even better than before.
While she didn't outright use hateful speech, slurs or anything like that she did say in a rather condescending tone that I "shouldn't play that way and you could have just picked the other guy up and hooked him."
Context: I was playing Doctor on Leroy's Memorial.
@@OcelotOmega Yeah. I've seen some toxic gaming communities but man the DBD community is one of the worst
@@salazaarfyrfang2699 Yeah, I would say that it rivals the League community in terms of sheer toxicity, considering I quit League after my first match ever, given how much I was being harassed by my own team.

It doesn't mean shit. It just means that you play a lot. Plus, I thought rank wasn't a thing anymore. I thought it was based on mmr or something.
This is just such a shame. As someone who does stream dbd, this behaviour is just shite. I couldn't imagine myself blaming someone else for not having fun; I find it fun when the killer stares at me on hook, I don't mind -- I also don't mind if I'm the only person they can down/weaklink/find, I'll just try to give them a satisfying chase, yknow? I'm considering putting TTV in my name to have more interaction in the game as well, since some killers like to come in and say hi, which is honestly so cute! Or fellow survivors come in to say hi and who they were, which is also cute!! That, and potentially getting someone who will tunnel/camp me for TTV in the name, which could be super fun to try and win against

I agree. “Okay next” is the best thing you could do for yourself in this game. There’s no point in lamenting on something that happened in the past. Especially if it’s a video game. I am starting to gravitate towards this mindset so I can just enjoy myself to the best of my ability when I play.

When I played, I would always stop by a TTVs stream after a game and drop a gg or compliment them on a game. I also like to watch the vod/ask them what worked against them/what didn't.

This was a great video! I have indeed encountered the same thing. I tried to hop into a killer's stream with a GGWP and just got ragged on by him and his community who assumed I was there to rub it in his face. It's sad because not only should we learn to support each other as fellow TTVs, but we should be trying to support ourselves as humans. I just don't understand why people get so mad at this game. It's like clearly these angry people didn't live through 2020, because then they would realize there are bigger things in life to get upset about.
I'm a survivor main and when I first started playing as killer, I thought that pulling a pallet and then flashlighting the killer was toxic af. I've since come to believe that any mechanics that are in the game (unless it's a bug) are fine to use and that goes for both sides.
