Hopefully they change their ways. I ended up joining a streamer's community after you had a video showing how toxic he was. Instead of taking the bad publicity with anger, he took some time off then came back. He addressed that he was being an asshole and he needs to keep from doing that shit, making sure everyone realized he knew what he said was FAR from ok. His streams have become pretty wholesome since then and just fun. Even though a lot of people won't change their ways, it's nice to see someone make something positive out of it and get even more successful than before.

"This video is very disingenuous and it’s a shame you didn’t take any time to find out why the videos (or mine at least) was removed. I didn’t receive any negative backlash on that video, no heat from that streamer OR their community at all. That’s not why I removed it. I removed the video because the streamer apologized and completely rebranded in attempts to be better. I felt my video served it’s purpose and I wanted to give them the opportunity to change. The video was up for two months before I made the choice to remove it. I’ve removed MANY of these styled videos, most of them actually, after they’d been up a while because I believe people can change. I could easily have left them all up to gain thousands of views even after the people changed, but I didn’t. That doesn’t sit right with me. Hope this cleared things up for you.

LOL Same Dude it would be cool for DBD to have a spin off, where instead being a 4v1 competitive match. It's a hide and seek where you objective is to survive as long as you can, until the gates open, alternatively you can also scavenge parts for vehicles like boats, cars or even helicopters or planes depending on the map. Speaking of depending on the killer you get, they will send you to thier map everytime, unless you use a map offering. So like Myers be Haddonfield, Bubba be the Sawyers farmhouse or the factory eta. The game is also going to be in first person and even have VR support if you have it. And unlike DBD you won't able to bring your own medkits or flashlights, instead you get items from classes. I got 4 I can think of Doctor, Security, Tracker and Hunter. And you can play offline unlike DBD. That's my idea.

Totally valid of them if they said "I'm so pissed off that some of this stuff is in the game. BHVR needs to balance their shit. Deadhard working the way it does feels so bad to killers. Cant fault survivors for using something broken, it's in the damn game."
That alone vents the frustrations, because really it's not the other players, it's the systems in the game that make playing it so frustrating for one or both sides.
As a League of Legends player it happens basically every season. Riot adds a new item/character that's busted and breaks the game. At the minute for example, playing ADC feels so bad because there is a new tank item that makes tanks deal big damage after taking some. So you have uber tanky units that are designed to be taken out by the ADC late game, but ADC's are squishy until late game.
In the current meta, Tanks are able to kill the ADC and shrug off most attacks all the way into late game. It's gotten so bad we're seeing full tank teams.
But that's no excuse to take it out on the other players, they're just using what works best, even if you think it's BS.
It's not their fault that it's the most effective way to win, it's the dev for making it that way.

I couldn't agree with you more Spooks! Most of your videos I watch I'm like, yeah that's a real crappy thing to do over a video game but this video is on a whole different level, wishing death on people is horrible enough, but you truly don't know what someone is going through, some people turn to video games as a way to help them through hard times. Whether it be a break up, losing your job, having a horrible mental day the possibilities are endless but that should never warrent wishing another human suffering/death. After every video I think to myself "I hope with all my might that whatever hurt is causing these people to act this way subsides because no one deserves to feel this way" and that those affected by cyber bullies realize that the other person's hurt doesn't have to be their hurt as well. Thank you for being the light in the dark when it comes to this awful behavior..

I love the message, and I think what it comes down to is people need to learn to manage their emotions in a healthy way. Something I do want to point out is game mechanics can be used in a toxic way. For example I was learning blight and ran into a ttv bully squad with 4 unbreakable, exponentials, DH, flashies, etc and they played very toxic. But the difference is I still played the game and kept a positive mental and got a 4k while missing almost every rush attack, and people need to learn to keep their head straight even if they feel the other side is being toxic.

It’s just sad that the devs do nothing about these people. I reported someone for saying they hope I die painfully from cancer, which as a cancer survivor I took very much to heart. I reported them, with screenshots and they did nothing about it.

This is so sad to see. I used to love playing Dead by Daylight but people like this in the community made me not want to play anymore. I realize that every game has a toxic community but I feel like some DBD players take it to all new levels... Thanks for continuing to make videos like this. Hopefully the more times people like this get called out, the more self aware they will become. Some people really just need a reality check.

It is never going to stop since you are playing a game where you are the killer (which is the conceptual design of a bully) and you have four survivors (which are the victims on a school playground) in a sandbox design level like a school playground. It is never going to change and most people will never change.

@@Crow23346 I would love to be able to have fun playing the heel. I would love to be able to low-key root for the survivors while I give them the best challenge I can give.
But I can’t do that if, rather than them having fun trying to beat me, they just hate me and want me to die in real life. I also can’t do that if the game balance is so out of whack that the survivors can still just walk over me with no challenge at all. (Nerf Nurse and buff every other killer, please.)

I did a co-stream with a friend recently where we were playing each other’s builds and preferred killers. I ended up with a Legion on Haddonfield. The team was good, and denied me a last minute kill with a really clever flashlight save.
It was the first time in a long time that I genuinely wanted to cry. Not really because I lost, but because my friend was watching and I KNEW I could do better. I didn’t say anything bad, though. In fact, when the survivors from the game came into chat, I welcomed them like I would anyone else, and they were really sweet and supportive. One of them even said that Legion is hard for them and that they thought I played well. If I’d gotten super angry and ragey just because of mistakes that I made and Bcs they were a good team, then they wouldn’t have felt comfortable in my chat, and such an interaction would’ve never happened. I definitely have my moments of frustration, but I also know what it’s like to be bullied. I face it a lot in my chat from strangers and salty survivors alike. So I try to remember that when talking to others. After the game is over, it was still only a game. And everybody’s a person going through their own shit.

Yeah my job I have to be nice to the customer but even when I’m not on the clock I try my best to not get mad at things people do be it very annoying and I try to never insult anyone or wish bad things on them as there is no need for it and as u said in this video. U don’t know what that person is going thru. But I feel as tho I’m repeating u and myself so much love to u and everyone out there. Keep making great videos.

I just got back into DBD cuz Wesker released and I decided to stream it and a guy got mad at me cuz I was just messing around as Wesker, just grabbing people, infecting them then walking away, but eventually decided to just start taking it more seriously. Well we were having a small back and forth in post game, they came into my stream and we had a nice conversation and chilled a bit. No hostility, we just misunderstood each other and they were a little frustrated due to the Feng Min DCing. Ended up being a really cool person, glad I met them.

Spooks, wow! That was super heartfelt and touching. Thank you for sharing your personal story with us. The takeaway I get when you share these kind of videos, is always one of uplifting others and truly why I love these types of vids you put out.
And to anyone that isn’t in the best mental health state, I suggest breaking from this game. Find a good rpg or lighthearted, fun game that will leave you feeling better after playing it. Just find something that can make you laugh and feel like a kid again. I personally laugh a lot when playing dbd. But- everyone gets a match where they get beat up once in a while. If it ever gets to you- call it for the day. Don’t let someone trivial and meaningless to your life steal your joy. It’s not worth it.
And with that. I wish you all a joyful and happy new year and hope everyone is having wonderful holidays! ❤🎉. If you aren’t….I’m sorry!😢 and like spooks said, things WILL get better. You just gotta get through it to get there.

i only recently joined dbd and this game has one of the most toxic communities ive ever seen and i come from an fps background. the amount of entitlement from survivors is insane. i hope these people get a grip on reality. ive had people go into my whispers when im not streaming and tell me to kms. actually insane the thought processes some of these people have.

Hey man! great video, I get what your saying as killer 10% of my matches i have a survivor who is toxic and many of them involve asking me to end myself for no reason. I dont get offended by it at all but thats mainly because im in a great spot irl and have no need to take them seriously, i just laugh it off! That being said i could see how somebody who is struggling could be in much more danger with this kind of community Just remember for every toxic theres also a cool one i personally visit streamers i play against not to say gg but just cuz they were actually really fun to fight/play with.

what i wanna add to this is that social media and the online world was just thrown at us pretty much and it takes the true maturing and adapting traits in you as a human to work your way around it. While I understand that last small clip completely for example, I think the best way to help that person is to suggest disconnecting from the online world until they have the self restraint to control certain emotions. At the end of the day trolling will never stop because it is genuinely enjoyable to people and because of that I think building an emotion armor helps you as a gamer AND as a person rather than letting it get to you if that makes sense. Hope this helps anyone out there.
