Fucking amazing! I had to come back and watch this again after the sad passing of Mensi. What a frontman and what a band! RIP Mensi, yr gonna be missed by so many of us.
RIP Mensi, true performer, entertainer and all round good guy. Such great nights watching him and the Upstarts play down the years. Had a tear in my eye at Rebellion 2022 seeing the tribute to him.
Never mind bloody good version!! It was fucking class. The whole band and mensi pulled this off fucking brilliant, I know Decca wade really well and he says Johnny did the best job but Johnny says he could never repeat what Decca did when it was recorded or live but Decca respects that Johnny is a fucking class upstart drummer! But shame they all leave!!! Hope for me yet 🤔
Chris Wright is from Hebburn, but used to fight out of a Jarrow boxing club, St. Kilda's ABC. I know this because I was going to the same gym at the time. He was a few years older than me, so I'd say about 16 (around 1983). I was a bit in awe of him, he definitely looked the part...
How many people have a gut feeling that the powers that are allowed by our own mistrust or each other. Probably sorted out all the shit that used to go on not exclusively but how many time do these types light the fuse them point at someone else. This young generation 18 to 30 years old are more controlled than anything before wow no imagination sad man well sad.
6:12 .....no punkrock wasn't about "being against something" it was about the preservation of rockNroll, bringing in back to the mid 60s when it was @ its apex! I.e. the Ramones, Surf Punks, the Gears ...& in the UK the Barracudas, Surfin Lungs etc.

Shut up you goon. Punk has always been about rebellion as was rock n roll prior.
