So glad you finally got the DSG tune man, well worth the money. Gotta have that extra clamping pressure to hold all that torque. I did ecu and tcu at the same time on my A3. Very Happy with the results! :)

I hope a TCU tune will do the same for my A4 B9.. I hate the way it shifts. Way too soon under normal/spiritied driving conditions. It also doesn't downshift when it should. You have to slam the throttle and it will jump down 2 gears .

Hey Kamil. Bought a 15 A3 Premium a few months ago and as of today it has 24k miles. It has 7 or 8 months left on the Factory warranty, and before knowing what you can do to these cars, I purchased the powertrain warranty from my dealership which ended up being around $3k, discount being because I work there. I'm definitely one for speed and modifying things, but I'm on the fence about tuning and voiding the warranty. Is it worth it? Do these cars usually have issues where the warranty is needed? The car fax shows the car has never had issues before. Our used car check at the dealership only showed it needed fluids.

The main thing for manufacturers now is to prove to the government that they get high average MPG and low emissions, so they de-tune their cars. That's why the stock transmission tune takes you to the highest gear possible as fast as possible, so your RPM is around idle. Unfortunately, that means you have to shell out $500+ for a proper aftermarket tune.

I have one and also have a warranty. You should be fine, they arent gonna notice unless something goes wrong that might invole the tech looking into the ecu, if something like idk your turbo blows, some shops might replace it and not know, or they see the td1, but know they set your car to its stock file, but technically audi can still notice. If you really cant afford to pay out of pocket for something then idk, but if you get it you should be ok, most people are, but know youre taking a risk and will wear out things a little faster than normal, i set money aside in case of my warranty getting denied

Really if possible you should get both at the same time. For example with most of the newer RS series its quite dangerous for clutch wear not to update the TCU/DSG tune when flashing the ECU. The higher horsepower can cause unintentional clutch slipping and be quite costly.
