    Good stuff, thank you, but what about augmented chords? What if you need a chord containing 6 or even 7 notes, all, and only, played by the strings?
    My (fledgling) understanding is that one orchestrates like so:
    1 Basses
    2 Celli
    3 Violas
    4 1st Violins
    5 2nd Violins
    So that would be five notes. As a crazy example, how are we to get our strings to sound a (not sure how to write/name this) CMaj7+6+9 (C G E B A D)?
