    Very glad to see this review as you had promised to do. Well, you already know that I’m getting this pen. I’ll order for it next week. The Steel Sport is my favourite Sport pen. The Supra Steel is its taller, younger cousin. Now, I’ll have both great pens in my family of Kawecos. I’ll be having the extender piece on, with the cap unposted as always. You’re right about the piece being seamless with the barrel would be nicer. I can’t wait to write with it. I hope I can get a B nib. Already imagining what ink will fill my Supra. Thanks for this preview treat of the pen.

    I have a Lilliput brass and love it just because it's so sweet, but won't put in my pocket . It is too heavy and necessitates too much wrist-turning to actually write with it. But I have it on my desk and give it a kiss routinely and doodle a little to keep it flowing 😉🙋🏼‍♀️

      I take a Liliput copper inside an everyday carry pouch that lives inside my backpack. 😀

    A Supra has been on my list of pens I want to get forever, honestly I’m hoping that Kaweco makes an aluminum model in the future

      Supra is nice and heavy. I like heavy pens. But that is a very personal choice. Aluminium would be lighter. But I have no information about if an aluminium Supra is on Kaweco plans.

    I love the Lilliput, thanks for putting them side by side, I now know I made the right decision by getting the smaller pen. The small nib and thinness are pros for me since I use it mainly for quick sketches in a Moleskine pocket notebook, having a thicker pen with a bigger nib would change that experience.

    Nice review ! I love Kaweco as a brand too, as well as steel pens (I have Kaweco Sport Steel too) and Bock #6 nibs, so a Supra is high on my list :-)

    Nice videos! I've been trying to decide on my first ever fountain pen. I want a Kaweco but I'm having trouble picking between the Steel Sport and Steel Supra.. They are both really nice looking. I want something really sturdy, built to last.

    • @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita
      @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita  4 года назад +2

      Thank you. Bothe these pens meet that criteria... You have to think about wheigt, size and nib size. The Supra is heavy and bigger, but you can make it shorter by removing the middle part of the barrel. The Sport is faster to use because the cap post just by sliding in place wiithout the trouble of having to screw it on. But the Supra has the amazing #6 nib... I guess I'll make a versus video in the next couple of months, between those two pens.

      @@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita Thanks for the response. That'd be pretty cool to see. I am leaning on grabbing a Supra for my desk and a sport classic for carrying around with me. Now I want a brass special and copper lilliput! There are just too many super cool pens..

      @@dgtlsthlrd It is hard too be rational with the desire of getting all the nice pens there are around. It is just not possible... (if we are not rich, at least). I guess I'll start selling some of my pens to be able to get some more I know I really want to have. But I have to say that I love Kaweco pens and it is hard to discipline myself and not getting too many.

    I can't imagine why they don't make those joints flush, especially at the substantial price point. Maybe it is too hard to accomplish...

    • @roderickfemm8799
      @roderickfemm8799 4 года назад +1

      Maybe it has to do with the desire to make it post-able without making the end of the barrel smaller? So they made the cap a little wider. Just a guess.
      Having said that, I don't think I see the point of this pen. But then I don't care for most metal pens, except for aluminum.

      This is such a beautiful pen. The brass Supra is excellent, but steel has a timeless style. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'd dearly love to see a Fireblue version (though I understand the extra complexity of using heat on a piece with an extra threaded portion).
      I wonder if it would be possible to fit a Gold nib, ideally with a Rhodium plating to keep the look?

    • @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita
      @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita  4 года назад +2

      @archivist17 Yes, you can fit in a gold nib. Kaweco doens't provide gold nibs dor #6. But this is a Bock unit. You can buy a Bock gold nib of the same size and screw in. The same, only the engraving on the nib is different.

    Do you find the #6 nib on the Supra to be smoother than the other smaller Kaweco nibs that are on other pens such as the Sport or the Student? I just bought the Supra and I wasn't expecting there to be any difference, but I was pleasantly surprised because to me, the nib on the Supra felt much smoother than the smaller Kaweco nibs on the same paper.
