I, as a dm, need a bit of help clarifying something. A player of mine says that when it says the wizard has to see the target to use portent that means see them in any way. I understand that as see through their own eyes but everyone else (All my players) seem to disagree. Does it say anywhere that the wizard himself/herself has to be the one seeing them and can't use, say, something they can look through the eyes of?

Whats "seeing"? Looking with the eyes? Or chemical reactions? Or its the electric converted signals? Or, its the brain interpreting those signals? Therefore, isnt seeing via someone else eyes, ... "seeing"?
