Peter Dinklage forgets the Dwarves from Snow White are supposed to be fantasy Dwarves. Like the Dwarves from J.R.R. Tolkien. The fantasy race. Not real life little people.
Disney didn’t train her. Her interviews shown she wasn’t even a fan of the original movie. She called him a stalker on more than 3 occasions. She hated the OG movie and they realized the perfect actress was hired by them.

So they most likely talked about the Prince as a stalker or gave him insulting names during their pitch with her. And she just went with it. If Disney were talking to her about the animated movie favourably, then she would have done the same thing during press for the movie. The fact that she didn't, shows that Disney were talking about the original Prince in a negative light. Either way, all these bad decisions in the movie were given the green light by Disney. So all the blame falls on them.

I'm totally confused by that 'fair' thinng in this remake. Physically, it describes Gadot far better. Not to mention it also means pale. Then, producers said it would mean the personally trait. So, an evil queen cares about being just, and Zegler's character is the best person according to standards the villain wants to accomplsh? That may be true, but accidentally.
Nothing about Snow White that Begs to be updated. The original film still holds up as a masterpiece of Animation that Walt put all his eggs into. As for the character being called too passive or outdated compared to modern Disney princesses. Disney and Ginnifer Goodwin did a great job reshaping Snow into a compelling character in once upon a time so why is this stronger version of her needed?
It’s not needed I mean this isn’t even snow bike. At least when Jennifer Goodwin did it she updated her kind of, but she still kept the core of her that didn’t change. I mean, if you want proof that this is not snow White look at the whistle while you work footage that was leaked online it’s terrible.
I wish they could have got Ginnifer Goodwin to play Snow White in this remake since she played her on Once Upon a Time but I bet she was too busy with Zootopia 2
Tbh the only thing that might need to be updated about the og Snow White film was the love story, but other than that, the film definitely still holds up, and I'm aware the romance wasn't really the focus - Snow White and the evil queen were. Snow White was mistreated and isolated, but it didn't stop her from being optimistic, kind and hardworking. Even if the film is a product of its time, I don't think Snow White's ideals are necessarily 'outdated.' I don't think being able to find the light during a dark time in one's life, being able to push through it all, and working hard to earn one's salt (she keeps house for the dwarves in return for letting her stay) are outdated.

These live-action remakes have really been on a see-saw in terms of success. Cinderella, Christopher Robin, Jungle Book, I liked those. Lion King and Aladdin were so-so but they made money. Mulan and Little Mermaid were just bad
Just imagine: people who have dwarfism were barred from the chance to have actual representation in a movie all because of one egotistical self-centered celebrity and a hypocritical company who prides themselves on “inclusion”. How sad.
The thing is that Disney have been 'updating' old stories since the company started making adaptations. The VITAL difference however is that, rather than preaching and telling us that the old way was WRONG and no one could possibly like that over this new version, the earlier Disney works had HEART that made people LIKE the new take. The Little Mermaid is one of the most obvious cases of sanitizing the original story, but all throughout the film they work their way up to that, not by telling and shaming the audience into accepting their take, but by having Ariel perform her little heart out and get the audience to love and empathise with her to the point that when it seemingly reaches that fateful point in the film they are on her side. "No! This version can't work that way. She has to get her happy ending." I think that's why people went easier on Halle Bailey when she performed Part of Your World with the same level of passion as Jodi Benson, it proved she and those in charge of the remake at least somewhat understood this. Snow White's remake was DOOMED from the moment it's promotions involved dumping on the original and preaching how they were 'correcting' it rather than explaining the new ideas in a way that implies artistic passion. It doesn't say you're going in with your own heartfelt take, it says you're going in with a superiority complex towards what came before you.
He says the way dwarves are represented would make people with dwarfism look bad if they acted, and it doesn't matter that these are mythical creatures because he believes that myth still offends humans with the condition. But then I would have to believe he thinks this CGI representation doesn't look bad, and that it still doesn't have to do with whether they are real people. And I somehow don't believe it.
Why is Marc Webb still working for Disney? Can he get a job anywhere else where he can both make money and artistic integrity? He made Haunted Mansion which bombed. This is gonna flop too. WTF is he thinking?!
I fully agree that this movie was put together at the last minute and there was no passion for it. I'm not a fan of the dwarf CGI designs (and I refuse to believe they weren't designed using AI) but I'll take them over Honest John's design in the Pinocchio remake anyday and I love foxes and the original character. Also one of the dwarf designs looks a bit like a caricatured version of me with my full beard so I'm not sure how to feel about that
When I saw the dwarf CGI, my heart skipped several beats. I mean what the hell?? Dude, this is going to give younger audiences who didn't grow up with the original nightmares! Heck, even blue Will Smith was far more tolerable.

Yeah, for once this does need to stop honestly. In terms of live action Snow White movie adaptations, I prefer Snow White A Tale of Terror (1997) and Snow White and the Huntsman (2012). I'll agree that the hairstyle of 2025 Snow White looks like that of Farquaad. The 2025 Snow White will be the 2nd Disney Live Action Remake I'll not bother checking out either on the big screen or altogether along with Mufasa: The Lion King (though, I'm impressed with the visuals and facial expressions the characters finally will get).

I personally thought the trailer was just ok. Rachel Zeigler still doesn't look like Snow White to me at all though and the CGI dwarves just don't look right. The sets at certain points definitely looked like CGI, but overall it was only okay, it wasn't terrible in my opinion. Movie's still dead on arrival though.
Of course Disney doesn't care about how many likes the trailers for their movies get on RUclips, they care about how much money the movie makes when it comes out, and I'm sure it'll make enough money for them to gloat at all the "haters". Do I want that to happen? No, but unfortunately that's probably what will happen..

Finally someone said it. Rachel Zegler did nothing wrong. Honestly who cares if Disney loses some money because of some interviews? Disney is one responsible for the changes and bad ideas, and that's what should be upsetting people. Disney can't keep getting away with these lazy sequels and remakes. I don't care if the movie is successful or not. I just care about the quality of the movie. Rachel Zegler had very little to no control over the quality of the movie. She is a 23 year old girl and is going to make mistakes. These kinds of things happen. I feel like people are harsher on her because she's a woman.
I haven't been paying attention to interviews for this movie as I couldn't care less about it, so I'm genuinely curious about what Gal Gadot said that infuriated you?
While I agree that Disney and Lucasfilm don’t have the same passion and creativity as they did before, I hesitate to say the same for Marvel and especially Pixar. I would characterize marvel’s multiverse saga as a big swing, and while they probably had more misses that home-runs, it is by no means due to a lack of creativity. Heck, phases 4 and 5 have introduced some the most original and unique marvel projects we’ve had. Now for Pixar. I don’t feel Pixar has lost a bit of its passion and creativity. You bring up Lightyear, probably Pixar’s low note, but that should take away from Luca, Soul, Elemental, and Turning Red. In Pixar’s case, it’s not a lack of creativity, it’s the fact nobody saw those movies in the theater because most of those, excluding Elemental, were shoved onto Disney plus because of COVID. Those were all good, original movies that barely anybody talks about, and that can’t be explained by a lack of creativity and passion.
I'm sorry but she deserves all the backlash, may I remind people 300 million and she slated off the original and acted like a spoiled little brat. She has changed her tune saying the original was a work of art or something to that effect which also makes her a hypocrite. I can't believe the same people CGI'd this as Rocket Raccoon . . . Rocket was adorable and very realistic, these animals just blur by as if the studio was ashamed of them . . . There's even raccoons on the poster. I'm surprised they couldn't reuse the Rocket model minus cybernetics and outfit and some of the Jungle Book creatures like the bear Baloo . . . I don't understand the choice of the yellow-ish filter or the choice to make the majority of the cast - the dwarves - CGI. The old Wizard of Oz movie managed to find a whole acting troupe of little people to play the munchkins, and LOTR used short actors and clever camera angles to do the hobbits and dwarves . . . So many bad choices, but I'm especially shocked by the animals and by feeling nothing when Snow petted the deer after crying so much over Framestore's Rocket Raccoon and falling in love with Puss in Boots (CGI from YEARS ago)

And they're all, Oh don't worry about it, you need your beauty rest. The Castle Int. and Ext. The Woods, The Dwarfs Cottage Int and Ext. The Mines, And the Cliff. The Queen, The Slave of the Magic Mirror, Snow White, Prince Florian, The Huntsman, Animals, and The Seven Dwarfs. Well the other companies you mentioned are Disney Owned. CGI Saturation is never a good thing, CGI is a tool, and that Tool is being abused.
I'm aware. But that's not what fans wanted to see, and in the comics the wife is such a nothing character. And from what the leaks seem to be, they are giving her the exact same arc with Galactus as the male Silver Surfer. And prior to that, they were even thinking about Gender Bending The Thing to make him a Female character. So they've been trying to force a gender bend in this movie and they ended up doing it to the Silver Surfer. And I bet you they knew of the impending backlash so they tried to make the excuse that it's the multiverse and in the comics there was a female Silver Surfer. This is Marvel doing the same old stuff but they are trying to make it appear like a creative endeavour when in actuality, it's not.

My philosophy about these live action remakes is....I WILL NEVER SEE THEM, not even the trailers, to this day I never have seen the official trailer of Wendy and Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Mufasa or this pile of new crap, I'm done with live action remakes since beauty and the beast, the last one I actually watch because was more a re-imagine was Cruella, but the remakes all can go straight to HELL, they all suck, there no passion, they all trying to be more POPULAR and REPLACE the originals and FAIL SPECTACULAR on that, so why even bother watching even the trailers, is not for me, and I never will support them.
I kinda disagree with you about Rachel Zegler's singing. I'm used to the original Snow White singing and I do wish that her voice is more sweeter because Snow White is 14 years old. And is it just me or I don't like Rachel Zegler as Snow White? I'm not racist or anything, I do wish that Disney hire more youthful and innocent looking actress to play as Snow White. Yeah really, even casting aside all the fiasco with Zegler, I'm not really sure she's the right choice, Snow White feels more fit cast as a wide eyed girl than a spunky young adult. You can make claims about updating from stereotypes but really her character appeal is being as innocent and wide eyed as the dwarfs are goofy and bumbling. The story kinda relies on it.

The CGI dwarves are pretty much like 3D models for a 3D animated feature.
Just imagine: people who have dwarfism were barred from the chance to have actual representation in a movie all because of one egotistical self-centered celebrity and a hypocritical company who prides themselves on “inclusion”. How sad.
The thing is that Disney have been 'updating' old stories since the company started making adaptations. The VITAL difference however is that, rather than preaching and telling us that the old way was WRONG and no one could possibly like that over this new version, the earlier Disney works had HEART that made people LIKE the new take.
The Little Mermaid is one of the most obvious cases of sanitizing the original story, but all throughout the film they work their way up to that, not by telling and shaming the audience into accepting their take, but by having Ariel perform her little heart out and get the audience to love and empathise with her to the point that when it seemingly reaches that fateful point in the film they are on her side. "No! This version can't work that way. She has to get her happy ending."
I think that's why people went easier on Halle Bailey when she performed Part of Your World with the same level of passion as Jodi Benson, it proved she and those in charge of the remake at least somewhat understood this.
Snow White's remake was DOOMED from the moment it's promotions involved dumping on the original and preaching how they were 'correcting' it rather than explaining the new ideas in a way that implies artistic passion. It doesn't say you're going in with your own heartfelt take, it says you're going in with a superiority complex towards what came before you.
I ain't watching this piece of shit movie remake. I would rather stick with Snow White and the Huntsman and "Mirror, Mirror (2012)."

If Dinklage thinks it is offensive with dwarfs in movies, then why does he work as an actor?
He says the way dwarves are represented would make people with dwarfism look bad if they acted, and it doesn't matter that these are mythical creatures because he believes that myth still offends humans with the condition.
But then I would have to believe he thinks this CGI representation doesn't look bad, and that it still doesn't have to do with whether they are real people. And I somehow don't believe it.

I fully agree that this movie was put together at the last minute and there was no passion for it. I'm not a fan of the dwarf CGI designs (and I refuse to believe they weren't designed using AI) but I'll take them over Honest John's design in the Pinocchio remake anyday and I love foxes and the original character. Also one of the dwarf designs looks a bit like a caricatured version of me with my full beard so I'm not sure how to feel about that
When I saw the dwarf CGI, my heart skipped several beats. I mean what the hell?? Dude, this is going to give younger audiences who didn't grow up with the original nightmares! Heck, even blue Will Smith was far more tolerable.

In terms of live action Snow White movie adaptations, I prefer Snow White A Tale of Terror (1997) and Snow White and the Huntsman (2012). I'll agree that the hairstyle of 2025 Snow White looks like that of Farquaad. The 2025 Snow White will be the 2nd Disney Live Action Remake I'll not bother checking out either on the big screen or altogether along with Mufasa: The Lion King (though, I'm impressed with the visuals and facial expressions the characters finally will get).

I personally thought the trailer was just ok. Rachel Zeigler still doesn't look like Snow White to me at all though and the CGI dwarves just don't look right. The sets at certain points definitely looked like CGI, but overall it was only okay, it wasn't terrible in my opinion. Movie's still dead on arrival though.
Of course Disney doesn't care about how many likes the trailers for their movies get on RUclips, they care about how much money the movie makes when it comes out, and I'm sure it'll make enough money for them to gloat at all the "haters". Do I want that to happen? No, but unfortunately that's probably what will happen..

What makes things worse about Snow White is that Mark Webb is known for his great romance and love stories.
And according to Rachel Zegler, this is not a love story and this Snow White is not looking for true love which is "really wonderful" according to her.
I personally doubt that she can be a great Snow White given the context and restrictions Disney have applied to this version of the character. But we'll have to see.

While I agree that Disney and Lucasfilm don’t have the same passion and creativity as they did before, I hesitate to say the same for Marvel and especially Pixar. I would characterize marvel’s multiverse saga as a big swing, and while they probably had more misses that home-runs, it is by no means due to a lack of creativity. Heck, phases 4 and 5 have introduced some the most original and unique marvel projects we’ve had. Now for Pixar. I don’t feel Pixar has lost a bit of its passion and creativity. You bring up Lightyear, probably Pixar’s low note, but that should take away from Luca, Soul, Elemental, and Turning Red. In Pixar’s case, it’s not a lack of creativity, it’s the fact nobody saw those movies in the theater because most of those, excluding Elemental, were shoved onto Disney plus because of COVID. Those were all good, original movies that barely anybody talks about, and that can’t be explained by a lack of creativity and passion.

I can't believe the same people CGI'd this as Rocket Raccoon . . . Rocket was adorable and very realistic, these animals just blur by as if the studio was ashamed of them . . . There's even raccoons on the poster. I'm surprised they couldn't reuse the Rocket model minus cybernetics and outfit and some of the Jungle Book creatures like the bear Baloo . . . I don't understand the choice of the yellow-ish filter or the choice to make the majority of the cast - the dwarves - CGI. The old Wizard of Oz movie managed to find a whole acting troupe of little people to play the munchkins, and LOTR used short actors and clever camera angles to do the hobbits and dwarves . . . So many bad choices, but I'm especially shocked by the animals and by feeling nothing when Snow petted the deer after crying so much over Framestore's Rocket Raccoon and falling in love with Puss in Boots (CGI from YEARS ago)

And from what the leaks seem to be, they are giving her the exact same arc with Galactus as the male Silver Surfer.
And prior to that, they were even thinking about Gender Bending The Thing to make him a Female character.
So they've been trying to force a gender bend in this movie and they ended up doing it to the Silver Surfer.
And I bet you they knew of the impending backlash so they tried to make the excuse that it's the multiverse and in the comics there was a female Silver Surfer.

My philosophy about these live action remakes is....I WILL NEVER SEE THEM, not even the trailers, to this day I never have seen the official trailer of Wendy and Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Mufasa or this pile of new crap, I'm done with live action remakes since beauty and the beast, the last one I actually watch because was more a re-imagine was Cruella, but the remakes all can go straight to HELL, they all suck, there no passion, they all trying to be more POPULAR and REPLACE the originals and FAIL SPECTACULAR on that, so why even bother watching even the trailers, is not for me, and I never will support them.

Yeah really, even casting aside all the fiasco with Zegler, I'm not really sure she's the right choice, Snow White feels more fit cast as a wide eyed girl than a spunky young adult. You can make claims about updating from stereotypes but really her character appeal is being as innocent and wide eyed as the dwarfs are goofy and bumbling. The story kinda relies on it.
