FYI my kids and I came in from Buffalo NY to see a concert and spend the weekend. After weeks of researching the best cheesesteak, we all agreed it was Angelo's. We went to Pat's, Dellasandros, Genos, Chubby. Will have to go to John's, next trip. You have a great channel!!
Yo Captain... I'm a Philly guy too, and I never touch that Whiz crap either... Hahaa... always traditional American deli cheese on my cheesesteak too. 👍😎
I haven’t eaten at Ralph’s in 10 or 15 years. The food is good and the interior is the same as it was 100+ years ago. I remember hearing that President Teddy Roosevelt loved their food and would eat there when in Philly.
Love the video. Someday talk about what happened to the graves that were across from Pat’s & Gino’s (now a playground). You think the Besty Rose Bridge is bad, not gonna believe it. Good tie in to your Mall video’s too.
Geno's ,thats where you throw away your Pat's half eaten cheesesteaks & garbage 🗑 into Geno's trashcans & go to the John's roast pork store by the stadiums for a real cheesesteak
@@ThePhillyCaptain I can see my tongue in cheek point went completely over your head. Seeing all those parked cars, it was obvious that 100's, if not 1000's of people, actually did find a place to park! Sheesh! 😁
Any chance you could pop into FDR skatepark one day just to show what it looks like these days?! Im from Daytona beach and love to skateboard so I’ve always been interested in LOVE park and FDR under the highway…. Also come to Daytona and check out the famous Hackie Robinson ballpark home of the Reds farm team the Tortugas. Thanks for the awesome vids man keep it up 😎🤙
Yo Captain! Nah, there is no Mafia. After all, Joey Gallo and Albert Anastasia were only killed by imaginary bullets. A work of fiction like all else fabricated by Hollywood. LOL! Nice tour. Great video as usual. I hope Rick the Puppy is doing well. Toodles ......
From what I’ve heard, Danny (owner of Angelo’s) is somehow related to the Sarcone family (I think they said he married in). . They bake their own bread, so if you like Sarcones bread, you might dig it. . We’ll grab a cheesesteak and pizza every time and we think they are superior to almost any others….however, we haven’t had JRP yet…
I used to drive Uber and SP was my favorite place to work my shifts. The people were ALWAYS nice, humble, and took care of you even though you were just a glorified cab driver. They recognized you were working for yourself and providing a service to help people get to work and keep drunks off the road. I have so much love for SP.
My aunt and cousins lived at 9th and McKean .....great memories down there
I always tell people to try Pat's and/or Geno's, but then go to John's Roast Pork for a proper one.

The closing of Savage Sisters is an abomination. The new administration on Kensington is screwing up.

The best thing about Philly is every neighborhood feels like a different city.

'The skinny with Joey Merlino' is quite a good podcast.
He's a gentleman

Speaking of the mafia I went to a strip club in vegas with Henry Hill during 1 of Howards Vegas weeks.
Have you ever been harassed while filming?
Not really
