I think its high time we as a society acknowledge that the dating app experiences may not be the same for all races as well. Would like to see conversations with some nuance.

You guys should do one on how gay men interact on dating apps. It'll be a short one.
    Step 1: Match
    Step 2: Silence
    Step 3: Unmatch
    Repeat.

The fear of being labelled a creep that Dan mentioned is very real.
The very same laws that have protected women in modern society from abusive men from more ancient societies have probably hindered the development of the more valiant men who existed in those more ancient societies also.
I am sure there are many men who wouldn’t mind dating a more capable, more intelligent, or superior woman, even an alpha female, but no man would date a woman who uses those laws that protect women from abuse to control men around her or in her life.
Singaporean women are the most unfriendly women I have seen anywhere in the world. Most walk around with a frown or stern face as if they fear being raped by every strange man who smiles at them or greets them. And many won’t even return a greeting or smile back.

Bumble is awesome! Before I met my current boyfriend (thru bumble) I went on a date where the guy ghosted me and didn’t show up. I reported him on bumble and they took really quick action against him and blocked him from the app in 2 days. Additionally they also were super sweet and sent me a bouquet of yellow roses 🥰 I was so surprised by the quick action that they took against him, I don’t think most dating apps would even take my reporting seriously since he didn’t sexually harass or assault me. Still, it made me feel safe on this platform where I feel that they look out for their users.

So what's wrong with him not showing up? That is normal in dating. Women ghost men all the time but face no consequences

Choosing marriage partner is sg is conditional. Eg. A lady decides to marry a guy based on his qualities like his wealth and looks. But he may lose his job when he is over 40 and lose his looks or health. Then she no longer has what she wanted . So, marriage is a transaction and conditions meeting the marriage are temporal and not lasting.

Honestly, the thing about the photos is all a moot point xD Looking good is the number one factor. Truly, if you look good, you don't put yourself with any friends, no activities, just a simple selfie. It'll work out lol.

It has def become more easier compared to pre app dates but it has also come with new challenges as well. Just to find the significant one it was a lot of trial and error and rejections and the total tally I had was about 250+ matches and conversations and 14 meetups before I found a partner. It was like getting a sale where you have to face 100 rejections before you can get 1 sale

I had my first dating app experience back during uni and I remembered I was having a blast because I always made the first move when I got matched.
More so, I would use pickup lines then (I just loved those when I read them online and wanna used them ahha). Most of the guys who responded said they were impressed by my first move, and also the pickup line.

My experience in Bumble is that even when I match with someone, The female NEVER EVER starts anything, so the time limit of 48 hours just go by and nothing starts. So i always wonder why tf those girls are in Bumble in the first place?

Lol some similar story happened and he went to the toilet too and it was at a big shopping mall in Asia and then he disappeared like that cause I wouldn't go home sleeping with him lol but at least I let him pay for the food and date and everything. He payed everything. Yeah I blocked him and ghosted him too. He wasn't looking for friends but for something else only. Cut off all contact directly and move on. I don't even care about it. Just her story reminded me of that.

Most of these Singaporean ladies (Usually Chinese ones) have sky high expectations and entitlements when they were younger but as they aged, they realised that their dating pool are shrinking rapidly.
They’ll then be forced to start dating more realistically.
Unfortunately by then, most of the guys their age whom are considered good catches would have already been snapped up by foreign ladies who knows it pays to stick around the men of their choice while they build their careers.
    Just my observations.

  • @Zoids-bf6op

It’s tiring having to go through hundreds of profile just to only get a few matches that may not even be your type. Swiping apps like these are notorious for sucking $$ out from a guys pocket just to gain a false sense of “convenience”. As a saying goes, it’s tired to look for love. Let love look for you. And ladies should be the one perusing, if not all the good guys gonna get snatch up by other ladies..

Personally, i don’t think pick up lines will get you anywhere when just matched with someone. I think it’s more for annoying somebody you’ve already known.
I don’t think girls really like pick up lines anyway? They’re all kinda lame and cringy, so it’s like you’re digging ur own grave on day 1 already.

    • @NathanNoon

If the ladies respect us as Gentlemen, they would not even let us carry their bags in public because they know how bad it’ll looked to people seeing this.
Women these days just want to show off that they are the ones wearing the pants in the relationship thus wouldn’t mind Beta males from performing such act to exhibit the power they have over them.

Wtf denise doesnt know what its like to not have money… sometimes its really no choice, youre short of money, and you need to get a taxi, especially when youre somewhere ulu and do not know the way (bare in mind this is before smartphone), the best is to let the driver know you only have this much, and just pray it is enough to bring you close to your destination and maybe walk the remaining.

Honestly using dating app opened my world of knowledge. I am so shock to knoe the % of guys coming prepared to pay for the first meal is so small. And the number of ppl out there just looking for FWB. I think first impression counts. If a guy ask for a split for the first meal. U will expecf it to be the same for subsequent meal n to me tats alittle too tiring n calculative as a couple. Its like telling u, u r like my other friend⁸⁸8s? Which to me its such a turn off n will def be fren-zoned. But also effectively help me to narrow down my focus n eventually found my love outside the apps though.
