*Loved* seeing the "3 Jays" together! 😊 Two are favourites of mine and I'm sure the third would be a favourite too -- if I met her! 😉 RE: cat on lap while stitching: I've never been comfortable with a stand; I use a hoop -- which can accommodate my Feline Stitching Supervisor. 🐱
Another great, informative video from the two of you! Besides being inspired, i always pick up little tidbits of tips to add to my stitching toolbox. Being of an interesting age and preferring to stitch on higher count linen, I'm finding a magnifier is an absolute must. Janice mentioned her "good magnifier." What magnifier do you use and/or recommend? Thanks for sharing with us every month.
Hi Linda, I use the Daylight light/magnifier. It is quite utilitarian but portable and durable. Here is a link to it on our web site: www.traditionalstitches.com/p_un1081.html
P.P.S. Be still, my heart! RE: "Painted Flowers" -- which I've seen on other floss-tubes recently. OH! Can an almost-71-year-old with astigmatism complete *anything* on such dark fabric?! I think I've put it on my wish list at TS...but I might need prayers as well as wishes to actually make it!
Hi Janice just wondering if you guys are going to have a retreat like you had scheduled just before Covid. Is that something you will schedule again. Also I was thrilled to hear that there is a stitching retreat up in Edmonton. I will definitely keep an eye open for that. STITCH AND STASH😊
Rose, Skirtex ( sp) is a heavyweight interfacing used for the skirt and pleat of a couch. Best place to find it is an upholstery shop. I have finished a dome shaped trunk before and wrapped the completed cover over a wine bottle after spraying it very lightly with water and leaving it to dry. It was a Betsy Morgan pattern with finishing instructions. Good luck, you can do it!

My magnifier of choice is a dazor lamp. My 1st lamp was bought 20 years ago, and still is working great!

Rose...what type of paint do you use when redoing a frame?
I will use acrylic paint, or spray paint.
"Promo SM" 😆
