Rose that’s impressive that you have all the ornaments done for your grandchildren already! I have 11 to do for my nieces and nephews and I still have 2 left to do. I’m a “little” behind on the Ann Johnson as well - about 7 months behind. Good thing I’m not on a time limit!

About 'craft and art' -- as an art quilter (20 years or so) whose work has travelled through Canada and overseas, and has landed in people's homes and collections -- this is a long-standing conversation, because it involves a) women's creations; and b) textiles. We live with it and we create anyway. Just ask Deanne Fitzpatrick about her hooked mat/rug art (for the wall as well as underfoot). Or the quilters of Gees Bend. Or anyone who studied textiles in any school anywhere. Or didn't study a dardned thing but came up with their practice on their own. Cross-stitch, embroidery, crewel work, white work, etc. And yes, the humble knitted garment. Or woven item. Art, every bit of it.

So, do you match the sois surfine with the dmc colour? I ma doing a outline on a Mirabilia pattern and wonder if that would be a better choice.

Oh those fabrics gorgeous. The Lowery corner clamp was the best investment I’ve made. Purchased it last year at the stitch and stash retreat after see Janice’s setup.

Any possibility of changing the window glass to be UVA/UVB safe similar to the action of glass that eyeglasses have? This way your samplers should be protected???

I have to chime in that I didn't know how your site worked when I first ordered. To be fair, I don't know of a store that works this way, but I'm OK now that I know how it works. Maybe other shops should work this way as well! I love that I can order something and know if it's on your website, it'll eventually come in. Now that I know how it works, I'm happy to wait however long it takes. :) Thank you! XOXO Heidi

Thanks again for another lovely video and the preview of all the Nashville goodies. Janice knows I'm a big JDD fan...I've pre-ordered the "Garden Box". One of my maternal grandmother's brothers was a wood-worker and I have an old wooden sewing box he made; the size of the compartments fits with some of the smalls in this collection and as I'm a long-time gardener...well, I just couldn't resist!
