🥚🐣 I have recently finished my first colourwork pattern and am itching to cast anothe one! That one will be the mayflower jumper from the petite knitter.
🥚 think I missed the window but my favorite colorwork sweater that I've knit so far is Illuminate by Andrea Mowry. My first sweater and I always get compliments on it. It was great fun! You've got me interested in the Boria sweater for something totally new and different! 🎉
🐣My favourite colour work pattern is the Birkin sweater by Caitlin Hunter although I have yet to knit it. Watching you today reminds me I need to knit the everyday sweater you are wearing 😊
🥚 I made the Red Cedar Sweater by Jessica McDonald as my Christmas sweater last year, and I loved knitting the colorwork on it. I absolutely love your Bergman! I actually purchased the pattern last month, and I’m hoping to knit it in the coming year. Thanks for the inspiration!
🥚 Last year I test knit the Mid Mountain Pullover by The Bluebird Box. I’ve had a long love affair with colourwork, but I have to say, this is the best. Such a well-designed knit!
🥚 I did the Alpine Bloom (Caitlin Hunter) and it was a pleasure to knit. I am currently knitting Greenleaf by Jennifer Steingass using Linen Quill first time using this yarn. I am in love.
So many favourite colourwork patterns! I’m doing the Halibut pattern by Caitlin Hunter for my husband. Also saw a gorgeous Norwegian pattern yesterday on Instagram that I fell in love with: The Lundy Jumper by Knit one purl one!
🐣I have not made a colorwork project yet, but I am trying to do my first one. I want to take an small project, so I am trying the normal sweater, my favorite thing.
maybe too late! but I am thinking about a colorwork vest, and this one is gorgeous Wild Rose Vest by Mary Ann Stephens. Just getting into it this year.
Loving all your knitted sweaters Hailey! I don’t know if I would have chosen the amber colour to go with your handspun, BUT if is totally the correct pick and looks amazing! Your eye for colour combinations is spot on! Thanks so much again for my pattern bundle 😘 I am starting the Norma Sweater tomorrow 😍
🥚I have yet to knit colorwork but two things inspire me to learn: the Agnes Kofta and the Unbearable Hoodie (minus the hoodie for my taste). What a fun episode this was. Just being you is perfect!
I would love to knit the Aveeno Sweater one day, for now I am practicing my colour work skills in the 2024 Christmas stocking from Arne and Carlos. Thank you for your lovely channel, I always enjoy the Knitweekend.
🐣🥚 I have dove into color work much as an English knitter and have not fig out how to have dominant color work. I’m going to go back and read your previous episode comments. I have made my husband a Star Wars beanie that we designed…it turned out pretty good, but I def need more prac before I start a sweater.
I am currently enjoying knitting the Frame Your Face cowl by Andrea Mowry. It's my first real colorwork project. I would love to knit Fern & Feather by Jennifer Steingass.
I recently fell In love with “Here comes the Sun” sweater by Olga Putano. I will be casting it on as soon as I finish Treelight by Jennifer steingass My favorite one to knit was Misurina by Caitlin Hunter
🪺🥚I haven’t yet tackled colorwork. But in the near future may try and start with Summer Lee’s Cuff Club socks. But I am in love with watching other people knit the Framed Sweater by Andrea Mowrey! That would be my dream knit maybe one day!!!
I joined the colorwork cuff club. Here is a warning. Definitely go up at least one needle size for colorwork. The first one I knit was very tight when I tried to pull it over my heel. But it is good practice.
🐣 My “current” favorite color work pattern - that I recently finished, and wore to Barcelona Knits, is the GoGoDynamo Shawl by Stephen West. You’ve sold me on the Bergman Sweater though.
🥚my favourite colourwork pattern, although I have yet to know it is the halibut sweater! I have the pattern but I’ve started to overthink my colourwork so I seem to have tension issues now. Thanks for another great episode!!!
Dearest Hailey Maybe you'd gain some tips for your cable sweater wip by watching Helle from Danish Musings podcast..I believe she is wearing it and goes into great detail about her mods to avoid too much fabric in the arm sections. Love, love your podcast..I notice myself smiling whenever I watch you..keep up the great work!!
Hi! One podcast late, yay for the masterful sweater surgery on your Snow Crocus! 🎉 regarding color work sweaters, I’ve made two for myself, and I love them both- can’t really pick a favorite. Newleaf by Jennifer Steingass with Spincycle and Loft, and Petula pullover by Isabell Kraemer in Jill Draper Makes Stuff Mohonk. In the slip stitch category, I’m very proud of the Alder Sweater by Rebecca Clow that I made for one of my daughters. A lot of knitting, but I enjoyed it.
🥚 My favorite color work pattern is the Alaska Sweater by Camille Descoteaux, but a close second (and one that I wear much more often) is the Nova Sweater by the Knit Purl Girl!
🥚Currently knitting DRK Shifty Sweater, which is now my fave color work pattern mostly because the mosaic shows off my hand spun so beautifully. Lavender Lune Old Fashioned is my MC and 2 braids of Wool Fiend Tease is CC
🥚 My current favorite colorwork pattern is Winter Woods by Jessica McDonald. I have some fiber I am hoping to spin that would be perfect for this one! 🥚
Hi :) big regards from Poland. Most of my life i had short hair... tou look so amazing that I want cut my hair 😂 Im kniting since III2024 and Im impresd.
I would have gone with the rust colour on your swatch x I'm surprised at your cable choice yarn, does it have the structure for a cable sweater? Although I'm not surprised at the colour. I'm totally all over burgundy, forest green and deep gold.❤❤❤ much love from Shetland
I agree!! It really doesn’t have the structure I would typically want from a cable friendly yarn. But I am also kind of putting faith in the designer that they chose well. I can’t tell you it’s not the most fun to work cables with. I have to limit myself because I definitely have to grip it more. But I’m hopeful the finished fabric will be worth it. And if it’s not, then we’ll learn together, right?! 😆
🥚 I LOVED knitting Andrea Mowry’s Throwback cardigan. It was my first colorwork project AND the first sweater I ever knit BUT, I knit the wrong size for me, and it doesn’t fit. 😭 I am almost finished with Isabelle Kraemer’s Yule Do sweater, so that will be my favorite colorwork sweater that actually fits me. 😅
🥚Favorite color work sweater I've made is Goldwing by Jennifer Steingass. I'm also in Tennessee, so I'm still waiting for a cold enough day to wear it!
🥚Absolutely I will have to say The Twigs by Junko Okamoto. I've knit it once and will knit it again in another yarn. It's at a fingering gauge, but so worth the effort! As I'm watching this I'm working on the Foxthoughts Pullover by Hiroko Payne, which is also a master piece in design.
@@Knitweekend It took me a while before I felt brave enough to tackle this pattern. What I love about it is that I felt like I would learn a lot from making this project and so I did.
🥚Choose Your Own Garden by Sarah L Kelly is so much fun because you really get to choose what you want it to look like! I'm following someone's project a bit and extending it into a tunic and its wonderful.
🥚 I just want to shout out the Getter sweater by my fellow Ukrainian designer Greta Majewska. In my opinion it's a highly underappreciated sweater though it was in a Novita magazine issue. I like the look of it and it's been on my list for a while. I just need to gather the courage for a first colorwork sweater 🫣
🐣(ack! I just posted on the wrong video! I watch from my TV, so commenting is a rarity for me.) Favorite color work is the only color work I’ve done, Jennifer Steingass’ Fern & Feather. 😊
🥚I really love Kieran Foley's patterns. I hope that I will one day make "Variations on an African Theme." Many of his patterns combine lace, intarsia, and stranding 🤯
We love spending time with you ❤ congrats on 5k ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow Hailey I'm impressed my friend! Keep up the great work!
🐣my current favourite are the songbird mittens as they seem to be a perfect small project gift knit. Love your colourwork sweater xxx ❤

I totally get it! Colorwork has been intimidating for me too!!

Hi! One podcast late, yay for the masterful sweater surgery on your Snow Crocus! 🎉 regarding color work sweaters, I’ve made two for myself, and I love them both- can’t really pick a favorite.
