What kind of idiotic decision is this? State or City should work on this now.
45 days notice is unethical, should be at least 3 to 6 months notice.
All that LAND and still no housing? State and City what's your plans if any?
Yuup what is Hawaii with no more HAWAIIANS.
I hate this is happening 😢We in Wahiawa & rent went up twice!! We all getting priced out & it’s happening fast
Their rent is $500.00 and many of them aren't paying it. So it has to close down.
I heard green slime had the funding cut for this place. So without the funding the place couldn't afford to keep it open. Of course no one will say that green slime did it. Now that the news reported it, he'll probably come in a "make like" he is going to save it. Probably did it just so he would look good. What a piece of oplala!!!!
Must be almost all tenants not paying. A blessing $500 rental . Inflation and personal issues may play a part . Who would want to rent to tenants that do not pay ? Sad .
😵 so the ones that have been paying and following guidelines are being thrown in the box
Were the renters paying the rent? If enough renters were not paying I can understand closing it down.
Management did not do due diligence. Many locals are out. Many not all were kronics living on assistance.
Corruption at the core!
😢😢😢😢😢

Horribleness all around. So....DHHL waitlist is decades long and many have passed while waiting. And now DHHL waitlist folks will be booting these folks out to take their rightful place into housing. Were some of these folks ON the list too? I bet they were and were homeless while "waiting" for their DHHL number to come up. And what about truly homeless Kanaka Maoli who for whatever reason are NOT on the DHHL waitlist? Because they didn't play the game, they stay homeless? The thought of these folks returning to homelessness in favor of "maybe-maybe not" currently homeless DHHL waitlist folks breaks my heart. Rent should be FREE in this complex. Even $500 is too much. Come on Gov. Green. Break open that pocketbook. Stop adding insult to injury. I heard that the state has a " tax surplus"....and then promptly heard that the "surplus" was a clerical error. Who's running this joint anyway?
So sad ppl getting out n living elsewhere. Sounds like waipahu too, state is putting in more buildings n saying affordable but it's not.
Life is what you make it.
No can this kine
WTF !
Fake State Problems, I blame the Hawai'i radical democratic party ever since 1959!
