This is because deva curl have got proteins and humectants (Idk How to translate it into english) and if You use only these products theres not PEH balance. Thats The point.

So long story made somewhat short. I have always had my hair short like pretty close to a 2 or 3 and for the last year and a half I’ve been growing my hair out. I had no idea that I had curly hair! I have the same exact curl pattern as you do (which my wife is jealous of) and I’m barely starting to learn how to take care of my curls. I’m a Mexican male and my hair is almost so dark it looks purple in the sun which makes me feel even more unique. I finally bought a diffuser today the Conair curl collective one with the 3 pattern attachment and I’m freaking stoked to start taking care of them. I’ve never put any heat to my hair and I have no damage to it whatsoever, but I know this will make a huge difference. Your videos are so informative and straight forward which makes me less nervous. I know this is an older video, but thank you for all of the information you have put out into the world. It’s reached a lot of people and is continuing to do so.
Literally just done this an I absolutely love it ! I used to just use mouse as my hair is wavy and has the odd ringlet but I tried it jayme’s way and I’m sooo obsessed with how it’s turned out. I can’t get over my hair it looks amazing ! Thankyou so much ! 🥰🧖🏼♀️

FINALLY! We have the exact same curl pattern, looks exactly the same when wet and during the beginning of the drying process, but my hair just looks so flat and frizzy by the time its fully dried. Thank you for this!
I'd just ordered a diffuser like the one you said you didn't like, so quickly canceled and ordered a different one like the one you have. For much cheaper too! Thanks girl! My curls are similar to yours and this is my 3rd attempt at "going natural" - hope it will stick!

Same, I don't know what makes that happen but I'm starting to think it may be because of the friction against our pillow when we sleep (?) Also regular fabric absorbs the moisture out of our hair... I'll try a new silk or satin pillowcase and see if that works

Hey Jayme. I’ve noticed you use divacurl products on your hair quite frequently. I have watched many videos with people sharing the horrible things divacurl has done to their hair with repeated use and there’s also a lawsuit against the no poo line. I would suggest you watch those videos and draw your own conclusions. I would hate to see that beautiful head of hair being destroyed so please watch those videos and reduce or even stop using devacurl entirely. Lots of love❤️❤️

@@amirairazaar9943 I do atleast 2 treatments a week, usually I do apple cider vinegar rinse(every other week) it has really helped with my scalp, and rice water has been good to my hair and scalp thru this too! And for deep conditioners I use olaplex and shae moisture deep hydration. I still havent found a good shampoo and conditioner so I've just used the shae moisture line since its natural and won't hurt me lol

So I wanted to ask you whether it's just the layered haircut that really fluffed up your hair at the roots. My hair texture is exactly likes yours but I can't seem to get this bouncy afro look.
Its definitely the way my hair is cut that help alot as well as fliffy roots and using products that give it hold. Also because my hair is super healthy now it is alot more voluminous than when it was in transition 💛

I am so jealous of your hair. 😭 The diameter of my curls is like 3b but they are kinda loose, like a 3a. I also have 2b waves in my bottom layer. I have a very similar texture and my hair is very fine, so my curls tend to drop after day two or when I put my hair up slightly while I’m in class (I’m also a dancer). Do u have any tips for that ? Most things will ruin it if you put it ip and sweat unfortunately! But i like to add a spray to it to help it hold its shape I did a whole video recently on volume so check it out xxx

Vanja Jojic the brand aphogee has a treatment to help with this I think. Hope this helps xx
Vanja Jojic its probably heat damaged. Try to use products to repair heat damage, otherwise you'll have to cut it all off if you want curls again

Try a denman brush and finger curling to help define and train your hair to curl. Don't use gel until after your done.

Hey jayme! I have a question, when am done with diffusing my hair en shake my hair upside down I have a lot of volume! But 10 minutes later all the volume is gone:( do you have that to? How do you keep your volume?
I like to spray it with a curl holder sometimes

Maybe you need a stronger gel? Also try doing the plopping method for about 30 minutes before diffusing the hair
the top of my hair is always flat how do i curl the hair closer to my roots? i use a diffuser but my hair just always dries straight at the top.
