She understiched the pockets and the bias binding at the neck and arm openings. This is a poorly understood but magical technique that, if done correctly, will make your facings stay put. Understiching the facing a quarter to an eighth in from your seam on the facing side will keep the facing on the inside of your garment. This also works on in-seam pockets and bias binding used as seam finishing.

It’s an easy pattern. You would have to take your own body measurements and be sure your fabric width is wide enough. Her fabric is very narrow but she’s probably a thin woman so its ok for her.
