Crown Vic P71 0-60 with Typhoon aluminum intake

A quick 0-60ish run. My launch could’ve been better, but it’s about 8ish seconds to 60. As for other mods, this car is Jmodded and has a catback exhaust.

Have you upgraded the spark plugs? Iridium ones really woke up my P71. I average 0-60 runs around 7.3 seconds now with no other upgrades

This has new Motorcraft coils and platinum plugs at the time of the video. My launch was also slow here too.

I feel like it should be quicker. My cougar with a 4.6 npi motor, stock besides a tune and exaust is 2 seconds faster or so

I’m not sure what the issue is with this car, but it’s definitely one of the slowest P71’s I’ve had. Runs great, but slow for some reason

@@wjye Gearing? I drove a stang otherwise stock and headers, 4.10 gears. Its an insane difference. You could have gotten some of the shortest gearing like the 3.08s or 2.73s maybe?

@@wjye My 4.6 gas a 4r70w and 3.27 gearing I think but I'm not sure

@@wjye check for vacuum leaks might be small to not trip a sensor just get a smoker and reverse use a vape before they discontinue it 😂 that’s what I did and I got back my loss power I didn’t even know I had

That is correct, The stock P71 intake tube and airbox are the best combo. That is what this car has. The intake on this car is an intake MANIFOLD. Which at time of filming was an aluminum typhoon intake manifold.
