Just installed it yesterday. I had the nice intake tube from the 04 p71, so I was alittle concerned that the adtr intake tube is a smaller diameter but I installed it anyways and I was very impressed with the adtr one. The car has improved a lot from such an easy and pretty cheap upgrade. Would recommend to anyone even of you already have the p71 air box and tube.
Yep I got the drop in performance K&N air filter you recommended I also got the 93 octane that you recommended as well, and now that I have all these things my car runs really well it runs strong and it gets up and for for a big ol girl, and I will now be adding to my rig. As always brother you got kick ass videos and recommendations that do not hurt the car. Another Banger video
I put this on my '00 Marquis with a Trick Flow upper plenum (Sorry, Chris, didn't have the money for the Accufab you sell) and my throttle response and pickup improved dramatically. I've got a friend with the same year Crown Vic who went with me on the test drive. His grin said it all.
I have the drop in k&n 75mm ebay throttle body I ported out and polished the stock intake elbow to match I ran 93 with a 93 tune from the sct scanner. I then ran 87 octane and kept the 93 sct tune with no performance change at all
Great product and perfect timing, Rock Auto has the Spectre/K&N type drop in filters on sale for $9 bucks,. Delete the tiny intake horn on the stock airbox if you don't have a PI box, and you've got plenty of air.
My 2010 didn't like the k&n zoom tube and cone filter with the under-hood box replaced with a k&n box. It threw lean codes all the time. Could have been the cats causing problems. I've been running it with an engine light for years. Always an o2 sensor/ catalytic cause. Im still trying to save up for a tune that doesn't require o2, egr, pcv, or evap. Maybe one day....
If you put a k&n air filter and put it in the stock air box it will give you more boost and better fuel economy with the air tube he just showed you in the video and believe me you'll feel the power
Does anyone know why I would be getting a p0355 code I’ve replaced my ignition coil and spark plug already it’s for cylinder #5 and has a constant misfire on that coil
Hi brother… i have a stock 2009 lincoln town car…. Will this work on my vehicle without problems? Also, is the MAF dimension 80mm as well? And finally, will vehicle need to be retuned? Thank you for taking the time the time to respond to this enquiry from overseas.. From DUBAI with ❤
Hey man! I’ve been scouring the internet for info on specific differences with p71 engines…you seem like the right guy to ask. Do you know where the heck they put the IAC at??? 😂
Hey bro saludos from Florida,,I’m ready to order that beauty,, but what about that little connector u showed that don’t come with it,, how could I get one of those? Thanks man. 🇨🇺🇺🇸
@@MrRandomReviews should I delete the factory h pipe and resonators and do a dual exhaust with glass packs? I already have the headers, and will be getting that intake tube, and then a tune. Figured why not.
I cant tell but did u add a Throttle Body Spacer? If not you should get one. I will add more response to your throttle. I did it to my 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis & I feel the difference!👍🏽
Hey Mr random I've been watching for a long time, and got myself a 99 continental with the 4v and I want to put a cold air I take on it, without the tubing since it's to expensive for the budget, and how would I do it. Plus is there any tuners you suggest for some extra power for it?
How is this a "Cold" air intake? It sucks in the same air from the air filter box right? And what does it help? Looking to buy this but I can't see the advantage?
I have a 2014 Lincoln Town Car, and I’m pretty sure this would work for me. Do you believe it increased HP ? If so, how much? It looks awesome. Thanks for the video.

Wait so and 04 crown Vic runs off 93 premium gas ?

Great quick video champ. Good to see you back with more content. Keep them coming champ, we need these tips. Lol. All the best
Thank you so much for this video and all the comments😅 lots to do with my 99 p71😬👊🏻🙏🏻

damn that’s an L
Not really, 93 tune with 87 price and it shits and gets
So your using the wrong fuel?
I'm using 87 with the 93 tune that came with the tuner. No problems at all.

Got mine for $3 on rock auto😂
Hey Mr Random quick question. If I get the high flow intake tube should I get the p71 intake box? I currently have the stock grand marquis box.
Yes
I couldnt find a K&N drop in they didnt have any in stock but i did get a STP red drop in filter and it seems to be similar to K&N
I'm just asking how it's it still working and will the K&N filter will be a better choice for the air box . THANKS
my question is, will this cause the wrench light to pop on with my 08 interceptor? i’ve heard a lot about cold air intakes f*cking up police models.

Sounds great. What year do you have , I have a 2011 Ex Riverside California car, and with items you buy all together , Thanks
Surely you can make these cheaper, pcv pipe or gutter pipe from Lowes hose clamps and rubber fittings.
Dude what heads up display is that I would love it for my 08 grand marquis
Does anyone know why I would be getting a p0355 code I’ve replaced my ignition coil and spark plug already it’s for cylinder #5 and has a constant misfire on that coil
your intake manifold is leaking from the inside into that plug
@@MrRandomReviews do you think I need a new one because I replaced the seal on the intake but it’s still doing it
What kind of exaust you have, that sounds sick!
thanks man its a rear resonator delete with straight pipes
Rear cats?@@MrRandomReviews
Nice I got two cat delete two muffler delete straight pipe . Poor man's sound canon 😂👍
Nice Vic bro just cause this video imma purchase me one of those tubes from ADTR. Wanted to ask what “MAF” does the 2007 & newer Vic’s use?
80mm
Thanks, I was wondering the same for my 2008 Grand Marquis, so I can order the parts while I’m offshore😂😂

@mr random
What straight tube you used for the pcv connector please advice
Nice video, I just got a 2006 cvpi, thinking pretty hard on getting one of these.
Where did you get the straight connector from
So is this going to actually work with my 2007 P71 without triggering any code or issue??!
yup

How does it pair up with Stainless Works Long Tubes and free flow cats? I’ve been eyeing that tube for the past 5 months. It’s going on a 2011 P7B
pairs great!

I got a 2010 P7B you think I’ll need a 80mm or I’ll be ok with the 70mm
70 will work fine
I love your videos
Will this work on a 2005 Lincoln Aviator? And what is the Marty tune?
Mr Random wat size should i go with, i have a 2004 P71?
does that crown vic have a marauder nose?
Mr Random, I have an 08 PI with a Marty tune, which MAF will give me the best performance? the 70,80 or 90 mm?
🤔
can i use a cone style intake for this setup?
Can this work with a throttle body spacer installed

What size should I get for a 2011 Lincoln 70 or 80mm?
Hey would s 2004 grand marquis ls be a 70mm?
Can I put this on a Lincoln and what size 70,80,90?
Will the tube fit on a intake instead of a filter

checkout the cold air intake install i did on the mercury marauder that should help guide you with your 4V
@@MrRandomReviews I'll check it out, but the 4v in the Conti is transverse and a set up little differently.
Which is better, this tube with the airbox, or K&N cold air intake?
Got a part number or correct name for the straight connector you used? I’d rather that then cut the factory hose up
did you find the the straight connector he used
@@tymoving9106nope just installed it per the instructions it comes with

the ceramic coating gives it a lower IAT than the stock intake

it will work for a town car also
id say an increase in HP of 3-5
Be sure to get it tuned afterwards.
can i run this without tuning my car?
yes

Which size MAF is a 2011?
70mm
Does anyone have a suggestion about the best place to sell a crown Vic?
