I added a throttle body spacer and forgot to reset the computer. The car died in the middle of the road at 55MPH. Very important to let the computer relearn the intake process.
Thank you so much for having kids involved. I know she not turning wrenches but if more of this would happen maybe just maybe when they get to 18 they won't be choked by cinnamon, poisoned by tide pods or ran over from staring at a phone and walking. I showed my oldest girl basic mechanics and my lil ones now will get same lesson in a few years. I love panthers. Best car ever made. Last forever and not many issues if taken care of. Great channel. I love my putt long tube hander on and under drive pulley and afe cold air intake and go up to a 3.73 it alot of fun
That sounds like a lot of work I think it’ll be worth it in the long run
Did your topspeed increase in overdrive with 3.73s?
Future plans for my Town Car is also MSD coils, intake and debating on doing a high performance engine rebuild.

@@Codyb82 At the end of your video you say how the town car struggles for air which is true. These cars are design to move people around in a slow luxury comfy ride. Hopefully the next new group of drivers see your video and realize. That they can take these town cars and turn them into Lean mean powerful luxury machine. Looking forward to see next video on the rear control arms...Wish I could give you a lot of thumbs up but I could only give you one....

It’s great it makes the vehicle accelerate a lot better and improves the drive ability
Is the mouth opening on them still the same size? I see some people port the mouth opening to 75mm
What they’re doing is porting and polishing the Plenum and smoothing it which allows more air to flow through it, which increases throttle response
What kinda difference did this mod make?
I found that this modification has given the car a lot more throttle response. It has completely gotten rid of the hesitation that my car felt from time to time went under full throttle. And got a little bit better fuel mileage.
And if you cut the cats off and put a glass pack it'll sound and run better more air you take in more air you put out the better she runs
You know a 5.4 throttle body will bolt right up and is few miles bigger

@@Codyb82 You can get both fly by wire from the 5.4 3 valves and cable for the 2 valve
Be aware that the F-150 or 250 throttle body uses different drive by cable position. You need the throttle body from E-150/E-250/ E350 5.4 with part # YC2U-BA or YC2U-BB to do a direct bolt on.
How much was it?
I think it’s like 290 But it’s actually 190with $100 Core charge
Now it’s closer to $500 including the $150 core deposit. Not worth it for me, so I bought a used plenum from EBay for $35 and an electric rotary tool for $40 on Amazon. If it was the same price as before I would totally get it, but $350 plus $150 core deposit is ridiculous.
