How you removed that bushing was the easiest way I've seen someone remove it. Also, I love how you used the jack to loosen the sway bar. Majority of videos on youtube tell you to loosen the say bar link bolt.
What I want to say is that I changed out a lot of different things that were out or nearly out but the bushings were responsible for the most noise. It drove very nicely but the sway bar was rattling in it's bushings over bumpy roads even though they looked pretty good.
Gotta do these on my 2015 Taurus SHO. gonna upgrade to energy suspension polyurethane bushings. Had to buy an xl 13mm ratchet dual box end wrench. I did the rears and they were shot. Got quoted 400 bucks to do the rear bushings and I did them in about an hour and grease them every oil change. This was a great video! Also I highly recommend a pair of digital calipers to get the correct size for the bar if using non oem bushings. *As of 4-24-22 Well learned that the driver side on my 2015 taurus sho had an external groove on the bar, so 2 different diameters. Had to get a moog bushing set. Still had a tough time getting the 2 bolts out. Soaked the rusted bolts in coke and go them as tight as possible by hand since there is no room for a torque wrench. Sadly my energy suspension bushings wouldn't fit the front but the 22mm set fit the rear sway bar.
@Brent Neahning Let me know how the energy suspension work out, I'm thinking of replacing mine. Thanks for watching please Like and Subscribe if you haven't already
@@BIGWILLSCARCARE I'd highly recommend them. Perfect mix of comfort and stiffness. No noticeable NVH and the rear end stays very controllable. I couldn't use them on the front because of a od groove but the 22mm set on the rear has been great so far. I used a water resistant grease and no issues after 3 months and 7.5k miles. Just make sure to have the correct diameter with 0.5mm and you are good to go 👍
A great video mate, well done!!!!!! It is however a lot easier to undo the bolts on one side of the bar about half way then go to the other side and take both bolts out and replace that bush, put the two bolts back in half way then do the other side bush then tighten up all four bush bolts. This holds the sway bar in its place whilst giving you some wiggle room to the sway bar making replacing the bushes much easier.

@Jason Brown both wheels or the sway bar is going to twist and create tension on the side you take off. Thanks for watching please Subscribe if you haven't already
Did mine with one wheel up. I had already disconnected the end link to swap it out and that freed up the sway bar no problem. But using his method (both wheels up) and raising the control arm a bit to free up the bar makes more sense if only doing the bushing.

Does anyone know the torque spec. for the bracket bolts?
I bought the Moog bushings but there was no torque specs. enclosed.
The torque specs are around 25- 30ft pounds or just tighten it very snug. Thanks for watching please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already
