Yes, 865 was the best soc that Qualcomm released for a long time. It's a shame everything is ruled by money, I guess Samsung was a lot cheaper to use and Qualcomm had a lead over other Android chipmakers, so they knew that everyone would still use their chips, even if they're not as good as they could be. I really hope Mediatek doesn't fall far behind and keeps pressure on Qualcomm so that they don't move to Samsung manufacturing again.

Damn, seems to finally be a really good year for Android Flagships.
Probably because apple did not upgrade ther gpu and saved it for this years 3nm. A15 and A16 uses the same, because apple did not want to loose batterylife.
Becaws we android Indian are is bery smarter sirr, we use bgmi and antutu to determinate bettar chipset sirr
Also can yu lend me urr androyit phone for gam- study sirr??
@@Randomdude21-e Apple always had a considerable GPU performance gain, even on the same node.
The A16 has less System Level Cache and the GPU cores are basically the same.
You could argue the A16 is a slight downgrade to the A15.
@@wtf17727 it scores higher in geekbench so not all bad i guess, but yeah pretty much the same.
They trued new gpu but it took to much power so they waited for thid years A17 3nm since its more efficient. Will be fun to see how it does
The 8 gen1+ actually not valid, xiaomi is limiting the temp for 12t pro. Swap the 8 gen1+ to rog 6 and you will get that 3dmark result without force close
We NEED a battery drain test of the 8 Gen 2 vs the 9200
Antutu and Geekbench we can not compare android and ios because of cpu cores, SD/MTK is 8 cores and Bionic is 6 cores that's why the score is so different.
But yea Qualcomm and MediaTek cpu is faster than Bionic now
Yeah but bionic is more like Linux with less overhead and optimization so of course it’s 6 cores feels like more. Android even tho it’s closer to linux than iOS since iOS is like OS X and bsod feels more like windows. Of course I got both but prefer android despite that since I love emulation gaming and it’s much easier on android than iOS. iOS isn’t bad for emulation but too much of a headache to do even with the more recent alt store being easier than before when you had to definitely jailbreak or hope a app didn’t expire.
still those 6 cores are bigger than the ones in android cpus as far as i know
@@keqling7086 not sure if that’s now a days but back in the day yes they were generally bigger than android cpus. Doesn’t matter if it’s a useless phone tho.
SD8G2 looks incredible. Hopefully the Samsung kills it with the S23 Ultra, looking to upgrade from the S21U this year
even with all this raw power it's still not as good as the 12T pro in game? maybe Vivo just likes to let its chips perform better out of games and controls them pretty hard in games
Hello.
Could you do a Genshin Impact load test, world load + map move, it's very interesting to compare UFS 4.0 and iPhone NVME.
Heli
Looks like 2023 will be a great year for Qualcomm
not really, these benchmark scores mean very less
We'll have to see because even 8 gen 1 and gen 1+ score higher than the a16 but the a16 is still more stable and cooler in gaming and destroys them in single and multi core performance not to mention that games are more optimised on iOS
We will have to wait for proper gaming tests to see if the 8 gen 2 heats in gaming and whether if its stable
My money is still on the a16 beating it even though it is a small jump over its predecessor the a15

Off topic. Golden Retriever breed is one of the most beautiful and also trainable breed I've ever worked with.
865 was more efficient than everything after it, even the 8 gen 1. Looks like that's changed now. Might upgrade to Xiaomi phone of some sort using it soon.

I’m happy there’s a chip to make apple step up…they’re too comfortable…but I think they are going to put the M1 chip in a iPhone soon
Bruh size of m1 is big to be put in a smartphone lmao
It's like asking someone to put i9 12 th gen in a smartphone

The best performance on Snapdragon 8gen2 supported by opensource kernel and driver make it can run much emulator. Egg NS, NDS, 3DS, Dolphine, NES, ePSXe, Aether. It also can also boot many os, including Windows 11.
Snapdragon and Android also allow per app to use custom driver, like vulkan optimized driver to run the app/game known as game driver.
This cpu has better heat management than snapdragon 888 and 8 gen 1 when you emulate?
Why doesn't the vivo X90 pro plus disclose that the temperature is close to 50 degrees after the 3Dmark stress test? According to the data I saw elsewhere, the vivo x90 pro plus became too hot after the test.
Strange how he didn't bother to check the temperature after the GPU stress test unlike the CPU test 6:05. Anyone who has been in this game for a while know these results don't tell us the whole story.

I found a solution for genshin impact players who is using exynos 990 phone or any exynos that have m5 cores heating problems ,

You can make all the cores work or make only little cores works

I turned off the two m5 or mongoose cores and the experience completely changed

Yeah gen 2 seems like a beast. Imo the best snapdragon evolution after the 865. 888 was a complete joke and just a way to allow companies to release another flagship a year later after the 865 ones, and gen 1 altho good is way too hot (hence why it throttles).
