Grieving oneself is one of the hardest things out there. Thank you for talking about what's lost to chronic debilitating diseases, Tamara.

I want to share the story of the tiger in the Hobart Zoo, because even when caged, a tiger is still formidable.
In 1933 a cameraman came and photographed the tiger, for this one is a thylacine, a Tasmanian Tiger. One of the last ones to ever live. The cameraman entered the cage to take more photos and the tiger didn’t like that. She bit the man on the bum!
Sometimes when I cannot do things and people don’t understand and I’m angry about it, I like to think about that tiger. She died three years later, the last known thylacine. The tigers lost the war, but this one won a battle that day.
