How do you make a house into a home? We had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Mme. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to talk about it. From redesigning The White House and pet rabbits, to egg sandwiches on fine china and first apartment furniture, Kelsey and Rochelle hear it all from The First Ladies while visiting Canada’s capital. Meanwhile, Becky and Rachael demonstrate key tips to making design work for a positive wellbeing by transforming your everyday bedroom into a safe and cozy space to recharge.

I love how Jill immediately asked what the last thing they DIYed was. It was such a small gesture, but you could tell that it instantly made Kelsey feel more comfortable and less awkward in their presence. It was really kind of her to get them started like that

The Whitehouse was serious about reaching out and connecting to more kinds of media. I feel as a US person they made the best decision to include The Sorry Girls! I had tears of joy after seeing all these wonderful business persons and amazing government leaders showcasing how effective we are at creating and caring💜💜💜💜💜🥰💕

I have been reading soo many negative comments about the changes youve been making so i wanted to show my support hahah
I love to see how you are growing and expanding your team and the whole channal. I also love the new content because way more people will find content to learn something new. For beginners Rochelles (?) tips are great and Rachel is doing many "quick" and relateable diys while becky and kelsey are improving and developing huge projects. I love how you now include many different styles and levels of "building".
I would love to see some more collabs with other builders. Loved the one with Simone Giertz but i get that it is difficult since they are all over the world..

@@TheSorryGirls You should then diversify and interview people from the other side. So you don't alienate half of your audience. My friends and I used to watch you all the time and even tried some of your diy projects, but we wont be watching anymore. I am not sure if you are deleting comments or have words flagged for spam, but maybe try letting the comments be more diverse instead you only allowing the ones that praise you in. Just an idea because you want to diversify your content more.

Both first ladies were so gracious and warm. The conversation and the energy was really lovely - much warmer than I imagined it would be. I just love to see when there is a good vibe and support among women gathered together, and not the meow mix, which I've unfortunately witnessed too many times. 💖

Just FYI, it is Mrs Grégoire-Trudeau, (or Mrs Grégoire in most French publications since we don't change our legal names when married in Québec and it is still her legal name). The hyphenated Trudeau was added as Justin Trudeau rose to the party leadership.
Jill Biden is an open racist who also supported her husband in repeatedly molesting his daughter Ashley per Ashley's own statements. So... yeah, quite the juxtaposition. True.

Nice video just wondering as Canadians why “the First Lady” is the only mention of women of importance and why Sophie Trudeau is not acknowledged in the title. If your trying to empower women and you feel your audience is mostly American then why not use it as a teaching moment and inform viewers!?

Use a 2" - 3" "slice" of pool noodle between each tab or grommet behind the curtain panels. This creates perfect spacing and keeps the curtain from collapsing at the top. Another trick is to sew weights (washer, coin, etc.) into the bottom hem at each corner and it helps them hang nicer. ~Chris

How about using a light but bright color? Like a light blue or yellow maybe. Or just painting or putting wallpaper on a few accent walls?

i think if you stick to cool pastel colors that would be bright & airy but not heavy! definitely suggest pinterest, im moving soon & using it a lot for paint ideas cuz there are so many colors i dont even know about!

ehhh… idk about that! i love The Sorry Girls, but i can vouch for a large # of Americans when i say that the current president and his entire family are literal criminals and did not get their position from a true honest election! Our country is suffering bc of this administration, so i completely understand why there are ppl not thrilled to see a Biden on a youtube channel that we go to for enjoyable content. They’re the embodiment of everything wrong with our current country/government.
