    4:00 For this problem, you could use "Rolling edit". It's like "Ripple edit", but just effects the current track

    Good tips, but in this instance, I think "Ripple Trim Previous / Next Edit" would be even faster for editing. The "Q" and "W" shortcuts are indispensable for even more speed in editing in Premiere.

    Awesome work! I'm looking for a "Ripple Cut" function, essentially to be able to remove the footage, copy to clipboard, and close the gap it left in one keystroke. I can't seem to find an answer anywhere, thoughts?

    Excellent tutorial - Thanks 🤜💯! I guess you are not using a Wacom tablet or do you? Would be really cool have a tutorial on how to configure your tablet for Premiere pro. There's hardly anything on this topic on YT.

      I use my Wacom all the time, but not in Premiere. I'll see what I can do about something for the Wacom and Premiere. No promises, but I'll look into it :D

    Does Premiere have the "Ripple Trim" tool, which basically allows you to fast forward or backward in the footage, allowing you to fine tune where your in and out points are, so without changing the length of the vid itself and moving things around.

    #Thanks NathanielDodson... Hot Key on a PC for Keyboard Short Cuts is CTRL Alt K ...
    For Add Edit at Play Head with One Keyboard Short Cut ... Type in search "Add Edit " apply R...
    then it is quick... QWR ... K is pause... J is reverse... L is forward... K+ J or K with move the play head one frame forward or one backwards... Double taps of J or L will fast forward the play head super fast...

    I'm just getting started with Premiere Pro. Please make more actual videos about the basics of Premiere Pro. About how to get started for beginners. The other beginner-videos are 3 to 5 years old with older versions of Premiere Pro and low quality video and sound. They need a refresh for 2018.

    • @tutvid
      @tutvid  6 лет назад

      Sounds good! I've been working on some new beginner level video editing tutorials. Thanks for the tip!

      Thanks. I'm particularly demanding this because I watch you on a WQHD monitor (just as you and your videos are also 1440p) and everything on your screen matches my screen so I can easily switch between the video and my Premiere Pro and everything is almost exactly the same. Furthermore the sound in your new videos is really good in combination with your cool fast way of talking - I like that :)

    Change the Title
