AYY, You are the only YT'er who covers the basic stuff that nobody really pays attention to but never the less can help out, Thnx for the Tutorials M8!
Awesome video. I tend to look for really short videos but glad i've loaded this one up. Ripple delete has just been configured as a shortcut for me and it's going to save me a lot of time doing edits. Thank you for this.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! So many "tutorials" are just fluff and does more to show off THEIR skills vs really teach! I know this is a couple of years old but is still very relevant! I am a recent Final Cut/Mac defector and I just need the basics demonstrated (my learning style) and I can run with it. You my friend do that very well. Thank you again.
Great. That will be super helpful. My iPhone audio keeps getting out of sync on some of my longer videos and I'm having a hard time fixing it. I'm sure you know how and probably know why as well.
Great video I just watched! Been wanting to learn how to use ripple edit for a little while, I'm just getting started with premiere pro/youtube. Thanks!
Great tutorial. I have a question: is it possible to do ripple delete with multicam nested sequences? For example, I have Tascam audio messed up in the middle or no usable footage available in the middle of the multicam edit for 20 seconds, how do I ripple delete that sequence?
I tend to overthink things when learning new things but you made it pretty simple on how to use these tools! Will definiitely be using these tips and tricks that you've added as well! Thanks man!
That helped a lot as my ripple delete right click did not work so I used the select option and delete. Thank you so much...Had to subscribe so I can come back if I get stuck again.
One thing you failed to mention is that if you have any tracks locked and do ripple delete, everything will move but that track. I had a audio track locked and it really messed things up because I didn’t realize what happened until I got further down the timeline and had done a lot of work after the ripple delete.
i find using the ripple trim (q&w) works the best for the whole edit for me. i think its by far the fastest way. funny you mentioned it last as if you dont use it at all but just wanted to add it to be complete...:D
Why doesn't right click work properly on mac? I'm clicking away on mouse and oftentimes takes three four clicks to get that box up with ripple delete on it
for that add edit trick... is that different than having the razor tool on (C) and holding shift and clicking? Seems like maybe add edit is to do it at the playhead... vs razor all tracks is where you click? Looks to be the only difference
question. with the extraction edit (i), it seems you didn't take the step of linking the tracks. is this not necessary on this type of edit? Thank you.
I can't believe that I forgot about this. Thanks! I will share it right now!!!!
Still helping 4 years later! Thank you!
You are the MAN! Just saved me SOOO Much Time. Keep up the Great Videos!

on 2015.3, pc version, I already have ripple delete at shift+del and add edit at ctrl+k. as standard
One thing you failed to mention is that if you have any tracks locked and do ripple delete, everything will move but that track. I had a audio track locked and it really messed things up because I didn’t realize what happened until I got further down the timeline and had done a lot of work after the ripple delete.

Keep doing these tools! Never know what they are
for that add edit trick... is that different than having the razor tool on (C) and holding shift and clicking? Seems like maybe add edit is to do it at the playhead... vs razor all tracks is where you click? Looks to be the only difference
Niceee!
