Good old Canadian tractor in the United States!
It’s cool to see different parts of the USA and how they farm.
I love to see these old machines still working. No DEF either!
That's stuff is such a scam. You could take a piss in the fuel tank and probably do better than it is suppose to do.
@@XGalaxy4U You can use Distilled water in place of DEF
Great video we use to run an 855 versatile for yrs and loved we've since updated our western ky farm with a 2360 versatile and a 375 versatile which we love as well but I do still miss our old 855. Thanks again for the great video
ङङङ
We had a 855 we bought new in the early 80s . Traded it in on a 7140 case ih in the late 80s. We farm in North West Tn . A place in Troy Tn was the first versatile dealer in this area in the 80s. Union City TN has A dealer that sells the new versatile now . I looked at one and was very pleased they kept the similar design as the original.
Always grand to see these classics still doing it's work!😊👍🏻
The memories I have with my Grandpa in a 700 Versatile are so vivid. Thank you for this video!
Very cool. They are nice 4wds.
Pretty small chisel plow for a field that size. Would take him a week to cover it. Old Versatiles are cool. Thanks Jason. GO BTP 💪💪
Good thing the Big Bud 16V-747 was working in the field too 😁
I was thinkin why not drag a harrow behind chisel,to break up those dry dirt clods?
Great vid BTP. Love the original line of Versatile tractors. It’s nice to see that these classic tractors slide South of the border and are still doing work on the farm 40 years later. Take care & stay safe.
We use a series II Versatile 500 on our farm. It runs the 24 foot frigstad cultivator and the 27 foot flexi-coil 5000 air seeder. We used to use it to pull an 841 Massry Ferguson pull type combine, but have since upgraded to a self propelled. My uncle has an 800 very similar to the one in the video
Love to see these older Versatile tractors working Ground. Dont see that many around here other then when FarmHand Mike is in the Field with them. Great video
Hi Jason, thanks for this cool video. It reminds me, how I love the old versatiles, which look so simple and powerful in once. It would be great to have one of them just to play at the lawn around my house 😂.
And the landscape behind looks soo great. This is why I have to visit the USA some day, such great wide open Prarie we don't have in southwest Germany 😭
Those Versatiles are so handsome tractors 😎
Sounds great too...
And what a landscape 😍
The background looks awesome👍😉 great to see classic machines in the field😁👍
I have a 1984 candy striper 835 Versatile the last year they made that cab style . It is my heavy iron puller . Good to see other older tractors still at work
Excellent!
That`s a fine old tractor!
👍👍
Great Vlog, great tractor, great views, thanks
Montana is a dream location for farming
It's great to hear a 555 Cummins at work. I've never heard one before. It's got a pretty distinctive sound for a V8. The 555 had a problem with breaking crankshafts, and is not fondly remembered. It was a part of the Small Vee series of engines that included a 378 V6 and 504 V8. The 555 was a stroked 504. The Small Vee engines were replaced by the B and C series of Midrange engines in the early 80"s.
I really appreciate your RUclips channel. I miss farming hopefully some day Lord willing I can go back to it some day.
Take care
I need one of these, nice video
👍another beaut!
I see a lot of those versatiles by my in northwest Montana!
Just picked up a 1969 145 that we do plan on using in the near future. Brakes need some attention and paint.
Very very cool.
Looking good
Versatile tractor 🚜 powerful I never drove one but I see it very good tractor 🚜.
They are solid well built tractors.
WOW! This was unexpected for sure
Nice old school Versatile still truning soil.
I first saw one of these in ND while on wheat harvest in 1973 & was impressed as 4wd was not in use at other farms further south in the Plains. Of course, now 4wd is everywhere, even on combines.
Just what a proper tractor should sound like, as Neil Diamond said what a beautiful noise.
Awesome :)
It’s a nice classic.
Still a few of them going in our area of Manitoba. Good dependable tractor.
Nice.
😁👍👍🇨🇦

We've got a Versatile 875 that either pulls the 45ft drags or the 32ft Wilrich chisel plow.
Not real sure why we have it because we have a bigger chisel plows and tractors for it as well as other tractors that could easily run the drags. Such as the Case MX270 or the JD 8320
I've got a 1975 series 1 800 versatile.... shes not mint and I burned the brakes off it this spring.... but she has good tires and shes getting fixed... it's my tillage tractor... eastern south dakota
Hey big tractor power I live in western New York and my brother and me and my dad run a 4630 for spring tillage you should cone check it out. Thanks for the vid it was great.
Where in Montana, very pretty. Was the video with the two Tigers air seeders working also in Montana?
If you have subtitles on it captions this as (music) ☺
6:00 that really is farming on top of the world!
Hi
Could you please let me know how to use de gear box to start the tractor
Interesting to see other parts of farming country... they don’t have to deal with fence rows, tree lines and narrow gates in the west
i have never heard of that brand chisel plow , never see that brand in Illinois where im from
It is a wheat belt tillage tool you find them from Texas to Montana. Friggstad became Flexicoil which was acquired by New Holland in 1996 and today they are sold as New Holland and Case IH chisel plows. Friggstad built models from 15ft to 80ft. I have a video with an 80ft Friggstad chisel plow posted at ruclips.net/video/uFKsy3Nhx9o/видео.html
Yeah, these wheatland chisel plows aren’t like what we’re used to seeing in the corn belt
Wheat farmer from europe here
I've always wondered how my american colleagues manage those super long wheat stubbles. All my efforts focus on cutting it as short as possible (3 to 5cm) and get it chopped by the combine as much as it can. Otherwise I'd have serious trouble with the following crop.
It’s mostly no till now
@@nellsonstout7001 unimaginable where I'm from
I think the purchase price was a little high. Around here, in North East Saskatchewan, I know of several farmers who bought the next size up, the Series 2 800 for $33000 cash no trade. The 700 must have cost a little less. I'm talking about dual wheels and everything just like your video shows how the 700 is equipped.
✌️✌️✌️
Our 700 versatile got a 350 big cam Cummins and we pull a 26 ft chisel plow with it
Very cool.
@@bigtractorpower The tractor has a lot of torque and is pushing 360 hp
@bigtractorpower, is that Friggstad chisel plow the same design as the 80ft chisel plow towed by the Big Bud 747 or is the latter plow specifically made for the 747?
Yes it is the same company. The 747 was working on the same field. This tractor and chisel are used to fix ruts and wash outs in the no till ground.
The 80 footer actually wasn’t specially made. I believe they are the same design
@@bigtractorpower @Neilson Stout thanks for replies.
The only way I could enjoy this more, is if I was doing the chiseling myself. Or bring my D145 out there and work alongside.
Size of batteries in Versatile 700
Is this the same paddock where BIG BUD hangs out.?
Yes it is
My neighbor has 2 versitile 500s
Did they get any of the Cases out to play as well?
No Case tractors on this trip. I did film their 1150 Versatile.
bigtractorpower hopefully you’ll get to. I know Gabe likes em
👏👏👌👌🚜🚜🚜💪💪💪🇧🇷
My brother-in-law runs a Versatile 700. He's currently looking for a transmission if anyone has any leads.
Shawn Herl in Kansas might have one
@@tysonfrank2105 thank you
Only 425 foot pounds of torque. I know we're being lied to somewhere. I drove a road tractor back in the early 2000s that had 1700 foot pounds. Maybe it should be blown. I'm sure the block could handle it.
Hahahahahahaha no. Those engines weren’t called cripple nickels for nothing
3208 look like
555 cummins. The cripple nickel. Makes the 3208 look great (although 3208s weren’t necessary as bad as people say
@@nellsonstout7001 We had a 3208 and it went well ,no problems at all .
interman 77 they worked well enough in the old Whites
