See and hear a John Deere 7520 tractor at work with field cultivator in Central Wisconsin. The 175 pto hp John Deere tractor was produced from 1972-1975. Авто/Мото
I was able to ride in a brand new 7520 when I was a kid in 1972, then many years later I was able to drive a friend of mine’s low hour, beautiful 7520. A smooth, quiet and strong tractor! I also loved my 4620 John Deere that I used on my farm for years
Love seeing these great older tractors at work !!!!!
Me too.
One of my favorite videos you've posted. I grew up on a family farm from 1975 to 1994 and always preferred the older equipment.
Thank you.
That tractor is so beautiful!
They sure are.
Great Video! The dirt is beautiful there, I really enjoyed seeing those tractors running in the field along with all the details like usual. My grandfather had a 8020, he traded it for a 4850. I got to drive both. Thank you again!
Wow that is a big trade.
Thank you BTP. Old iron still playing in the field is always good to see.
Classics are great to find in the field.
Nice tractor looks brand new. Who says you need newer equipment to get the job done lol
We purchased a 7520..one of the last ones sold ...a 8430 was setting next to it...i wanted the 8430 but dad wouldn't spend the extra money.
The 7520 turned out to be a great tractor even though the ac never worked and you couldn't hear the fancy AM radio...used it for over 20 years before it was traded in...last time I heard it was still in the fields in Southern Ohio
That guy has a calibrated eye for making a headland.
Man you do alot of effort with your videos thanks for all the amazing information
Thank you for watching.
Awesome to see an instant classic at work!!
Thanks you very much! I really enjoyed the video on the 7520 !
Nice video. You caught my dad spraying sweet corn in the background at 1:20.
That is cool. Thank you for watching and sharing.
Very nice drone shot, couldn't have rendered justice any other way to the great work of this pair of equipment. TYFS
One of my most all-time favorite tractors to drive, plenty of horsepower and fun to run
😁👍👍
Great video and machines!! Thanks for posting! :-)
Will outlive the current models totally.
💪🏽💕💕💪🏽
Great video! It's nice to see the old iron still working!
This one was a cool find.
As always, great job on the videos!!!
Thank you.
Very good operator.
Awesome tractor 🚜 👍😊
Man good job working the ground up in one pass.
It does turn over nicely.
This is my favorite video you have ever posted
The 7520 is one of my favorite tractors. I just made a new 7520 video two weeks ago. It is posted at ruclips.net/video/GF60tED7Qv0/видео.html
@@bigtractorpower - Thank You! :)
That’s a couple sweet lookin 4wd’s 👌
That model would sheet metal would make a very cool pro stock pulling tractor, everybody runs the 6030 sheet metal that would turn some heads
We owned and operated a 7520 from 1973 till mid 70s. I disced ground and moldboard plowed a very impressive machine.
Very cool. I grew up in the late 70’s in WNY and remember Steins 8630 and 8640. I wish I could have seen a 7520 plowing. Did Halpins sell an 8850?
@@bigtractorpower yes one 8850 customer in Cayuga Co. Tractor was a warranty nightmare. Constant transmission trouble, Deere eventually replaced transmission case. Shaft holes not lined up. Bearing failure on original tran case.
Great. Filming!!!! Good job!!!!
Thank you for watching.
A Real American classic
that guy need s an ac mod lol! cool to still see some of these yellow cabs still cutting dirt!
The 7520 and 7020 are stand out tractors.
Nice tractors I com from Germany ☺☺
Trecker Freak Niedersachsen blessings from usa!
Those were bad ass in the day.Lived on a freestall operation when I was in my teens and they had a 5020 that was big for the day.
The 5020 is a tractor I would like to film.
bigtractorpower I was about 14 when I drove it to the other farm on the road ,I felt like a big shot. I have run heavy equipment ever since. It was like sitting on the back of a whale ,the hood came up a little and got wider in the front unlike the 3010 or 4020.
A smooth looking tractor for sure! Its amazing the design and skill of engineering and manufacturing of equipment before the 80s and before computer aided design. John Deere was this first to use Pro Engineer starting in 1987 to design all their stuff in. Now most major Agco companies use the software.
They sure had a style all there own in the 70s.
Allen Newbauer The 7520 was an engineering disaster. No live power, splash lubed transmission that failed going up hill under load, tie rods holding the back end up, stop and shift transmission with a no torque engine so it could start anything out under load, had one for a short time, it was in actuality a horrible tractor
Thanks for the insight. Maybe that is why is was only made for 3 years.
Allen Newbauer the 30/40/50 series weren't a whole lot better, but yes your probably right about the 3 years
thanks for the video I really like the John Deere 7520 hope things are going good for you this year so far. Have a great afternoon
Thank you. It’s been a great year for classics.
The Farming Life Putz ,how do you like the youtube karma so far. I love it.
Love me some old school green paint !
😁👍
Their soil is in peak shape.
They also had the hi-low option
Dude I’ve wanted one of these for so long in real life and on farm simulator
It’s a cool tractor.
@@bigtractorpower do you have farming simulator 19
I do.
@@bigtractorpower do you have a 7520 on it
Going drone! I like it.
I get a chance to mix in drone footage from time to time.
We had one of these on our farm.
Very cool.
Nice soil
It is working up well.
That was the first 4 wheel drive I drove still wish we had it but we have newer ones now lol a little quieter in the cab
Very cool. The 7520 is a classic but the modern ones offer allot more.
My Dad had one of the first ones out of the local dealership and paid $22k , my Uncle he farmed with bought one the next year and had to pay $33k to get one. I bought my uncle's 11 years ago and am still using it. Spent $12k one new radial tires ( Blems) this year and am slowly restoring it to it's glory. I have slightly newer tractors but it's just gratifying to relive driving it. At the age of 9 Dad had me out in the field with his new tractor field cultivating. Boy have times changed.
Looks 10 years of age, restored ? Rich soil on that farm. Nice videography
I am not sure if it is restored.
Yes, it is restored.
John Schomburg not restored at this location. Purchased that way about 10 yrs ago.
This bloke driving has his own personal GPS system built into his skull. That old classic Johnyseens to drive sfaighter than alot of new cars. Beaut tractor, beaut cultivator, beaut looking dirt. Now if only it was painted red. 🤣🤣🤣
U said central WISCONSIN. I live in Wausau in central Wisconsin. Never seen these rigs before. What township is this????
ctblazer05 wow I live in Weston. Never seen anything like this either
This farm is in Plover area.
Alex Rasmussen I live in Rothschild lol
Where at in central WI? Almost looks like around Steven's Point area.
Yes, Stevens Point/Plover area.
What size field cultivator is that?
What is the white top at the start of the video?
That is a second 7520 on the farm. The roof is yellow but a little faded compared to the one working in the video.
Never saw this one before
They are hard to find in the field these days.
Guys, do something about the wind noises and your vids are 100% better! Clear Sound from the machines would be so nice
Yes. There was higher wind that day. Sometimes it hard to muffle out the wind. On this one it was film the cool tractor and so the best to reduce the wind rattle.
They also built a 7020 I think the 7020 was 175 hp and the 7520 was 200 I know I have driven both the 7520 and the 6030 also a Ford stover fw60
Auto correct Ford stiger
The 7020 is 145 hp. I am a big FW60 fan.
Yes the fw60 was a hoss I miss that tractor got out of farming in mid 80’s logging ever since we run all John Deere logging equipment but I miss farming
No air condition ? So he has the window open ?
Either the air is out or he wanted some fresh air.
Also it's central Wisconsin in the spring, probably 50-60 deg
If would like to buy one used tractor how mutch u think thr price is? Where can i find one and shipping
What is the rule of thumb for implements?
Same width or wider as your planter .
That’s a time Capsule
They are a great classic.
Now that's farming not none of this gps bullshit nowdays
Nice tractor. Did BTP video this or was this from one of your friends? Either way, this was a very good video. THANKS!
I did not film this one. I have a friend in Wisconsin who is filming there for me.
Keep it up!
He does a very good job. Keep him on the payroll. lol
Can you do a Versatile D145?
I defiantly would if I can find one in the field at work.
Aren't the 4020 and the 3020 the popular ones
The 4010 and 3010 were so popular in sales they surged John Deere from
#2 in tractor sales to #1 over International Harvester. After the 4010/3020 Deere stayed #1 for the past 6 decades .
Now theres some cheap good looking HP... i admire the old the new is just what it is big $$$$$
But very rare no 2cylinder jd 50s
Please do a Versatile D145!
I would love to feature a 145. I just need to find one in the field to film.
bigtractorpower ok, I’ll get mine running. It’s not stock anymore, though. The 470 Cummins V8 gave up the ghost years ago and got replaced with a 12 valve Cummins.
the engine itself has 194 HP
That would be engine horse power vs. 175 pto horse power listed in the sales brochure.
It looks and runs like new.At just over $25,000.00 this sounds cheap, remember that back in 1972,a new pickup truck brand new on the showroom floor was only about $2,000.00 out the door. Now,you can barely buy the tires on that tractor for $25K.
Nobody Sam Sigh...most YOUNG people don't know this,I lived it and no kidding its called inflation DUH!!.But most young people were not on this earth back then and wouldn't know this in the first place.
Nope. A basic 1971 Bronco on Ford "A" plan (Ford employee purchase) was $3200. In 1974, an International Harvester Scout was $4600. My father-in-law worked for Ford Tractor, and I bought the Bronco on "A" Plan financed by the Tractor and Implement Division (T&I) Credit Union - so I have no idea where you'd get a $2,000 pickup.
Buckhorn Cortez I STILL have the Ford dealerships original paperwork and window sticker for my F-250 HD and it was 1,990.00 out the door NEW in 1971.
4 gauge To boot. Auto websites claims it was $3200
RJ 1999 Well, sorry,I have the ACTUAL paperwork and its $1,990.00.
Is this product available in India
The 7520 was offered from 1972-1975. I would guess they were sold primarily in the United States, Canada and Australia during that time frame.
Quadtracs are better. (just memeing i know they are totally different tractors)
