I had this model in my sand box I played in as a kid! It's hard to say how many "acres" I cultivated on my hands and knees! Good times, I still have it too, cabs bent up......but many good memories with that tractor!
You were probably plowing deeper in your sand box than this moron..
I was able to ride in a brand new 7520 when I was a kid in 1972, then many years later I was able to drive a friend of mine’s low hour, beautiful 7520. A smooth, quiet and strong tractor! I also loved my 4620 John Deere that I used on my farm for years
Only reason you thought it was strong, is because you never drove anything else.
It is a dog of a tractor
Enjoyed the video. Those are great looking tractors. Like all the early JD 4WD's they were a little short on power and even shorter on torque.
I had one back in the late eighties and I took it at a blowed motor and put A8630 Motor in it that I rebuilt and adapted myself
I remember the '80ies,whan i was a kid.
Back than,my country was part of Yugoslavia, with huge collective farms. One big farm ,in my village had few of the jd's 5020,working alongside imt 5200 series. As a kid,it was a sight to see, on the road with double wheels
We bought one in 1975 , last one the dealership was getting . Great tractor other than ac never worked and one day while driving down the road wide open it just decided to turn . Ended up in a 6 foot ditch but backed it right out , scared the crap out of me . They replaced the cylinders in the center of tractor and I dont believe it ever happened again . Last time I heard it was still working somewhere in southern Ohio .
hes pulling that thing pretty fast!
great video and that JD has some awesome power for sure thanks for posting
Exelente herramienta de trabajo!
We own one. An absolute workhorse for is hp range. Two differents motors 175hp, and 200hp motor. Only issue we ever had with it is they have a weak design for their shifting cables between the cab, and outer transmission. Ours also has a 12ft dozer blade attachment. Knocked over plenty of trees between 12, and 15in diameter no problems
If it's horsepower range is 85
I see you have the Hi-Lo trans in it, the pre runner to the Quadrange. That made a good tractor a GREAT tractor. even though they are quite undersized by today's standard, they can still do a lot of work very well and very economically compared to today's monsters.
Computer controlled powershift transmission? Nope. Air conditioned soundproof cab? Nope.
Still working hard after 40+ years? Hell yes!

Stupid
Because it's a jd that's why
This tractor for tru man!!!
@@varminthunter5935 no. It's because it's made of metal like old tractors are. Not plastic
BUEN VIDEO AMIGO... FELICIDADES "CHILE"
Awesome tractor I used to drive one here in Tennessee. Late 70s 80s
AAHHHMAAZZZZING !!! Got to LOVE thhat Horse POwer!!
I like this oldtimers..
That tractor pulls well. You are really doing a job on that stubble
I have a feeling somebody just cultivated their first hobby farm field. It was like the tractors power should impress yet you show it to be weak a soon dead. If he is your employee, take him to a farm nearby to sit in some tractors to see how it's supposed to be done.
Now that I have watched the whole video I see that boy driving would never operate my tractors way too high of a gear that Deere is only about 300 hp
It's closer to 200 hp. I don't think John Deere broke the 300 hp mark until the late 70s early 80s. This one is from the early 70s at least
After running a Case IH 1066 for too many years, I'm glad someone else is doing the same even with a 4x4. Whatever works right?
/cheers!
wordlog I've put a lot of hours on 3 or 4 of them myself, the first year I plowed with one it was pretty dry , I must have broke 6 or 8 wheel studs , then I got the one with wedge locks , young and way too ambitious.
Je suis sûr!
Very good ..very good !!!!!..muy bueno amigo..
for the year these were made this was a beast.. i ran one for a few years pulling a 28 foot disk... also great for snatching combines out of the mud

The 7520 was imported from the USA by the arable farmer himself in 1986.
Yea,I'd say the injector pump has been turned up on the old boy.
MrCase446
Complements to JD, beautiful old power horse. If JD was bad as many people claim it would be none existing, great tractors!!...... from a Ford/NH fan
Jan Kotze
That's a pretty tractor!
I know I saw that it's "world headquarters" is in Illinois, but that doesn't mean it's American owned. Anyway, thanks for the response. Always good when people can converse in a civil manner - especially here.
Beautiful
yep farmer lives next to me has same tractor and it also smokes like he'll..? lol
Once upon a time the 7520 was king of the farm...now most two wheel drives will put out triple the horsepower of this unit. Its in mint condition (your 7520) its so clean inside the cab you could sell that tractor for new again today. It's been very well taken care of through the 40 years its been on the farm. Most of them that I've seen anymore are junk, windows broken, leaking scratched up,rusted out to the max. This is proof that a tractor should last practically forever. It's no 9630,but I still like it and it will keep producing practically forever...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!.
when the going gets tough, we go for john deere
esse sim é gigante!!
He his going way to fast. Needs to slow down at least 2 gears. Half the shovels are even in the ground.
Must be a hired man. Either that or guy has a hot date and wants to get done with work. ;-)
Super JD 7520💪🚜👍
That is how you break crap. Way to high a gear for whats he is doing.
I agree. I don’t want to break my equipment so I load it much more practical.
Beautiful by french farmer ! good luke !
Even though I prefer case, I can still appreciate some real american mustle
Este é bruto com esta profundidade so mexeu com palha tem so velocidade pessimo serviço
Specs for the JD 7520 are 175 pto Hp, and 160 drawbar Hp on that 'ol girl. Wonder if the injection pump has been turned up? Looks like it might be, but it's hard to say. He was certainly lugging the engine pretty hard a few times, by running a little too fast of a ground speed for the load. A 7520 articulate is getting to be a pretty old tractor (built from 1972 thru 1975), so the engine could be gettin' tired. On the other hand, the exhaust smoke under a constant load was pretty clean, so it's tough to say, without actually knowing the status (actual hours and engine condition) of this actual machine. There's a good possibility she's been overhauled at some point by now, but ya never know. Nice newer rubber and clean straight tin on the 'ol girl... and she looks to be pretty well kept overall. Nice video!
This kid shouldn't touch any type of agricultural type equipment.
Ahhhhhh he's just showing off..we were all young once.
The kids is probably doing what he was taught. I love my equipment too much to treat it like this.
He wouldn't get near my wheel barrow, plus the amount of black smoke somebody has been playing about with the fuel pump 🙄
Jep, afgelopen zomer gefilmd :)
muito forte esses tratores
our case 4490 would pull a 65 foot set of discers. no problem. it would also pull a 60 foot cultivator with shovels on it. not the spoons you are running either lol
Super Video.
good video
Dang at 1:26 some of the shanks are skimming the ground. Kid needs how to plow !! My dad would have kicked my butt across the field if I did that ! Drop 2 gears and put it in the ground !!
j'adore ta chaine
super
Beast
What a locomotive
Well it does make alot of smoke. If thats a trait.
J.D. king of the fields. I still prefer two cylinders, must be getting old. good vid mate
that is the first time i saw somebody chisel plow with a field cultivator . It was fishtailing all over the place
Nice old beast!
so much power.. its not even trying...
How would you compare the "White" "Field Boss" to this particular model of John Deere? Just curious.
Smoke Is On and 👌 JD POWER❤
Too high a gear, but a very good demonstration of torque rise!
not torque rise, he lifted the cultivator so it wouldn't kill. 531 was a poor engine overall.
thats sound!!!
Just bought one of these for next to Nothing hope it wasn't run like this one run hard put away wet lol
I love old john deere's and prefer them over newer john deere's
Hes goin so fast the thing bhind him is swaying around and half of the shovles aint even in the ground
Amateur operator. Gear is too high for the load so he keeps raising the cultivator in order to keep the rpm.
Young kid obviously. Trying to look good for the camera.
yup.. he needs to drop a gear or two... I'd say...It would be easier on the tractor, and he'd do a better job of tilling....
TheFarmerfitz . I think that part of it was he was trying to roll coal also but I agree drop a couple gears
He did that once.
Nice sounding old tractor though....
he wouldnt need headphones if he wasnt making the tractor scream wide open besides way too fast you can break your machines old stuff is delicate new stuff you can replace old stuff is valuable.
dad must be in town
Driven it like he stole it
Power full tractor!
Mr Tärinä
you
that 531 is one of the best sounder motors in the world
Unfortunately , gutless
Injection pump has been turned up and looks like it has a clogged air filter
Nice! !!!!!!!!!👍
Nice
It smokes because those engines were not efficient... neither were the injectors and the rig is almost certainly pretty tired. This thing was only rated for 150 hp at the bar and rarely dyno tested that good. The cultivator is about all this tired old girl can handle... and oh yes, drop down a gear or two dud!!
David , clueless. A 7520 was not rated at 150. And u would have some sort of problems if you could not Dino 150 hp. My 7520 puts out 250 hp without even trying. But what do I know. You probably own many tractor with the 531 motor. FYI there was a bit of sarcasm in that last line on case u misread it like some other stuff you look at
High side of 4th....scooting right along
actually all those tractors in that series smoked like that
thats my kind of tractor and Bobby big bud takes upthe road and it is more dangurous because it has more moving parts and i know this cause i am a smart farmer
Lots of smoke, noise, gunning the throttle---wonder who pays the maintenance bills?
It's an old machine, what do you expect. You gotta' floor it for the power in high range!
First clue that lets you know you are going too fast is when the cultivator starts to "dance" behind the tractor. I definitely would not buy that tractor used from that farm, motor would be baked from inexperienced operators showing off. There is a huge difference between productivity and stupidity.
I'd still buy the tractor though ;) Be a fantastic rare project
i agre with you, slow the hell down and keep it at about 3/4 to 1/2 throttle and chug along not play speed racer and break all the shovels and over work the transmission. Made to go slow in field and kinda fast on the road the shit head, there goes 8th gear in the transmission
Rob Beck he is running too fast that what you get when you send an ignorant boy to do a man's job
Yup ... And knob on the end of the throttle ... I only pulled it for road use ... Such a nice tractor ... To bad this stupid ass is killing it .
Dood the guy is making a video. Why would u not roll a little coal? 3/4 of these commenters are doosh bags. I am shore You could find a video of a large tractor creeping around with a small plow at a idle. Go watch that and give it THUMBS Up
Maybe it is then, I'm sure I read somthing saying it was now a german company, dunno
old tractor = good tractor... :)
Rare,maybe,expensive definitely!

Article I agree with, but it is necessary to speed? why not a good rotation but not speed? unless he esteje a hurry. =)
Is that supposed to be instead of ploughing ?
GREENPOWER! NICE!
Yes it doues. When u got black smoke i have turned up your disel pump so that the tractor gets more fuel and thereby its a more powerfull explotion creating more power...
Add a set of aftermarket tracks and a GPS unit- and you're ready!
you were going to fast
In ossendrecht staat ook nog een 7020
i hate seeing good old machines driven this harshly, nothing stands getting treated like that long, I'd not like the running costs for that guy
