If you are using the browser version after you update a category or title you can click "edit details" flap on the bottom and apply the name change rule to all like named transactions.
    Makes bulk category changes possible

I saw that also. Everyone is complaining about having to keep changing it. Just make a rule for it. Its a free site not everything is going to be perfect. 🤦🏻‍♂️

New subscriber as I love this overview - just what I needed. Regarding the trouble with adding/editing categories and it sometimes doesn't seem to save. I've found that refreshing the page after the add/edit seems to do the trick. It's a bit clunky, but the pros far outweigh the cons so far. Thanks again.

Does anyone know why "Everything Else" doesn't show on my mint?

SO the categories I want to choose have to be reset each time?

Thanks so much for these videos! I am just setting up Mint now. I have a bookkeeping service for my single member business but want to use something like Mint to see allllll my accounts (business and personal) to be able to plan and strategize better than I have been.
---I'm confused by the "Transfer" category though. Is there ore information on that? It seemed like Mint wanted to put my car loan payments in Transfer and my transfers from my business to personal checking accounts (owner's draws) were showing up on the receiving end as Transfers but on the payment end Mint wanted to put them in "Income" and I made a sub category for it in Income.
Anyway, I'm still new to it and hashing through it but thought I'd poke around to get some clarification on that sort of thing. Thanks!

Yes, transfers in Mint are tricky. You just have to make sure they are showing up properly in your budget. If they are, then you don’t have to worry about how they are tagged.

Hi there. How do you handle when you at at the grocery buying some food and you get cash back? This seems to cause an issue because it would then show that I'm spending the cash I got back at the grocery even though I didn't. Perhaps split it out? Thank you for the videos.

Generally, I assign cash to my allowance, but if I spend it on other stuff (most frequently giving cash to my kids), then I split the transaction between the two categories. Hope that helps!

Nice video, Thanks. I have one question: Can I use Mint for my business and upload all my business spending from January 2018?

Hi, Michelle -- I'm not sure whether Mint has import capabilities, but I can see where that would get messy with duplicates if using import. I would keep my old records in a spreadsheet and start new with Mint.
