    My good, what an AWESOME video this is! I was looking for something EXACTLY what you just explained, esp the STORE LABELs, errands etc. Loved it. Thanks for creating such an amazing tutorial.

    Wow this is honestly the best video showing app details I have ever seen!!!!!! Thank you!!
    I’m so tired of paper list. So I’ve been searching for a good app. Watched many RUclips videos on many apps and not one of them gave enough details. Thanks again. I’m saving this video for when I can’t remember how to use all the features.

    I know this is a year later, but I love this video. You did such a great job explaining things and I love how simple and organized your lists are :)

    I just re-watched your video for a refresher. I've been using Anylist for a while now. I LOVE it!!!! My husband says I've gone overboard with my lists! lol. I have lists for just about everything! Car Service, Christmas list, vacation packing, work, medical info and more. I even used it to organize last years Christmas dinner!

    I have been using AnyList for a few years now. Watching your video, I think you are my long lost ADHD sister lol. Similarly I like to be efficient on getting the most out of my trip if Im leaving home.
    I started before there was a filter function and they’ve changed how categories work several times which has really screwed with my system. Your video inspires me to go through and update my lists to take advantage of the newer features. Your lists are much cleaner than mine.
    I love love love the meal planning, recipe storage, and shopping list integration in this app. Thanks for sharing

    As always, I enjoy your videos. You are super organized. You motivate me to "step up" my organization and productivity. Anyway, I really like this app. And it is now available on Android. The desktop companion is appears to be great, but it costs $9.99 per year (subscription). I will probably purchase the subscription because without it, many useful features are not available. I really want to take over the grocery shopping from my wife. I think I can save us money and time. The goal is one trip to the grocery store per week along with having a very good idea of how much the groceries will come to BEFORE going to the store.

      Hi, Michael. I’d love to know how this works out. I actually loathe grocery shopping. I do it one time a week and order them for pick up, so I don’t actually have to walk into the store!

    • @michaelsanders5938
      @michaelsanders5938 5 лет назад

      @@marblejarchannel Maybe once I get my shopping list complete, I will check into ordering. But I actually don't mind the shopping as long as I have a good list and don't have to think about what to get. I use the time to listen to audio books or podcasts as I shop. Also, I think I am going to setup my list of stores as folllows: Name of Store-Aisle #. For example, Walmart-1, meaning the item is at Walmart, aisle 1. As I shop, I can filter the list by the which ever aisle I am in. I hate having to "backtrack" to aisle I already went through.

      Marble Jar I’ve made “recipes” for our packing lists for travel! We have two young kids (4 and 6) and we often travel out of state to visit family every few months. I put in the basics so I don’t have to type it up every time we go! Genius!

    Can you pre-build a list of common grocery items that you just then go through and tap on what you want to add to a fresh, new Grocery list or populate a list you already created?
    UPDATE: I think I figured out that what I should do is build a Favorites Items list and then select from there. Thanks!

    I'm intrigued. What is your super unorthodox method using anylist?

    • @marblejarchannel
      @marblejarchannel  7 лет назад +5

      Hi, richbellason! I use Anylist as a reminder system for bringing things with me for multiple kids' activities. I put each kid in as a collection, their activities in as recipes, and the things they need to bring (cleats, tennis bag, swimsuit, etc.) as ingredients. Then, I construct a "shopping" list of things I can't forget for the day. I'm planning to do a video on this, but summer has made me less productive in terms of video publishing. Hopefully I'll put it up in the next month or so! :-) Thanks for your comment!

      Aha. Looking outside the square. I like it. I think I might use this idea as well. ALthough as I use Android, I might need to find an equivalent to . Looking forward to future videos.

      Just in case you are interested, richbellason -- I just posted a video covering what we chatted about. It'll make this as spam if I include a link, but it's called "Remember Stuff for Many Activities with Anylist App for iPhone."

    AnyList’s “location reminders” are great for ADHDers (like myself). Sure, Apple Reminders has location based reminders, however, I don’t care for Apple Reminders.
    The only downside to AnyList is the custom themes feature. It’s a massive time waster for people like me with wicked ADHD that loves making pretty colored lists. Lolz.

      Such a good question. I’ve used so many things over the years, but currently a combination of Evernote and Google Sheets. At some point, I need to do a video on this, but it’s ever evolving!
