After braces, my chin receded😢. I got chin fillers and 6 units of Botox in my chin and 4 in my lower frown lines yesterday. I have my chin back y’all! 🎉
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. I love doing Botox to my mentalis. I keep up with it and it really helps my chin look better, more relaxed and it also helps m chin filler last longer.
So helpful. I had 9 units of Botox injected in my chin and I can’t explain how much relief it gave me tension wise in my face. I’m glad it improves texture but wow, my face feels so nice. I had no idea what I was harboring there.
I've always gotten Dysport in my brow area but this time my doctor also injected my chin and I had no idea why (chins don't get wrinkles, right?). Now I understand why - thank you so much.
Great question. If you have a chin that’s not under projected (recessed)or only very mildly under projected then you may wanna try Botox or Dysport first to see if you can get a little projection and better chin posture from that. I also suggest it if you have noticed the signs of aging to your chin, as I mentioned in the video, or, if you’re bothered by your chin dimples then you can consider this treatment. If you have mild-moderate or moderate recession to your chin then I would consider chin filler. Not sure if you checked this video out to help you determine if you can benefit from chin filler 👉 you ruclips.net/video/5yuASpn12gA/видео.html
@@sanarora Thanks so much San! You can actually use Sculptra to the chin to stimulate collagen but more so, to restore the loss of volume due to aging, as opposed to doing it for chin recession. With chin recession you really need filler.
Hi Emily! My smile has been affected since botox on the sides of my chin, i believe the DIL muscles were hit. Now my lower lip doesnt go down when i smile and its look so weird, i dont show my teeth now when i smile. What would help to lower that bottom lip when i smile? Would injecting the mentalis help? I also have botox on my masseter muscle. Thank you!
I think the best thing to do is to let the Botox wear off. Not sure you can counter the effects by injecting another muscle but I would follow up with the person who treated you. Injecting the mentalis would make it more difficult for you to pout and pouting raises the lower lip. With that being said, I can still pout even though I have Botox to my mentalis, but I just can’t pout to the point where the muscle gets so tense it dimples in. What muscle was being targeted? Was it the DAO’s they were attempting to hit?
@@NaturalInjector Yes I believe it was the DAO muscle, to try and make my downturned mouth go up slightly. But i have an engagement photoshoot already booked and payed for in just 2 weeks, so we were trying to figure out how to lower the lip back down so i can smile for the pictures..My mentalis muscle seems to be compensating now that the DIL is asleep, and when i talk is constantly flexed. By the end of the day my chin feels sore and i have to avoid talking to rest it. The lip is curling into my mouth when i talk and when i smile it hides my teeth.
Thank you for this video …mine is very badly cobbled and the cobbles are really raised plus my mental crease is bunched up thick now and you can feel lump in the crease …I have done botox in this area with not much change using 8 units ..3 each side and 2 just under the crease 3 months ago 😢would 15 units totally paralyse the muscle for me and help smooth my chin …I have also tried messo in this area but even with a 4 mm needle when I inject it doesn’t stay in one area like it does on my face ..it’s really strange as I inject it pushes all the cobbles up even more and spreads all over the area it all turns white for a few minutes ..I micro needle the area too along with fibroblast and really strong acid peel …the skin is just so thick now there is hardly ever any change ..all these proceeders I have done over the last few years leaving enough time for my skin to recover completely …I have never placed 15 units in this area , hopefully this may be a way forward to soften and relax the area first
I had a botox and filler touch up this week and my injector did a bit of botox in my chin for the first time, is it normal for my chin to have sort of an odd feeling after that? It’s sort of like a tiny bit numb feeling and sort of feels like when I squinch the chin muscle it’s hard to explain. Just making me feel a bit anxious.
I did a gummy smile and a mentalis botox a few months ago … and i haven’t see any change … i think my muscles r stronger than usual … how many units i should get next time ?
Random question, I got Botox on my chin last week and now I can’t move my bottom lip when I talk or smile. It looks lovely. I’m just not sure if you think that is normal. I had 2 units.
2 units doesn’t sound like a lot. I would follow up with your injector to look at your pictures to see if it effected your smile. Glad you like the results on your chin though.
@@NaturalInjector I guess she said it was from injecting the corners of my smile. Either way, I’m not too worried now. This whole “self preservation” thing is maddening. I appreciate you answering my question though and I love your content.
when i was a teen, I used to do the motion like Denzel in your video. Just now in the age of 23 i noticed that and stopped doing this. But now my mentolabial crease is huge, its pronounced groove under the lower lip, and of course its affects the lower lip so the middle part of the lower lip is going more inside. Could i fix this only with posture? because the worng posture cause it from the beginning. It makes me very depressed beacuse like you said its very unattractive and i notecied people are staring at this all the time.
Treating the mentalis muscle with Botox usually helps to prevent the mental crease from becoming deeper because it relaxes the muscle and pulls it down. Unfortunately I won’t be able to give you advice unless I see what’s going on. I do offer virtual consults if that helps.
It can help give a little projection but not much it s very very subtle so I wouldn’t worry to much about getting too much projection. Filler can also help soften the mental sulcus.
He certainly does and Denzel was only used to display that the mentalis conveys a thoughtful facial expression. So apparently Tom had removed his cap on his teeth for the role in this movie. I think they said he injured his tooth while playing baseball.
Some wrong information here, the mentalis contracts because there's not enough support for the soft tissue. A chin implant is a very common way of addressing mentalis strain to address shelf support. Short of that, botox.
@@NaturalInjector Only that the implant is often seen as solution to the mentalis strain, I believe you suggested it would not resolve the issue alone - this is incorrect however.
My chin feels so heavy I have like slurred speech, it's hard for me to chew food. And my throat feels heavy. I can't close my mouth. It's a first time I have done this and last time as well. Injector said she only put 2 units but and it will wear off. But I feel like I can't cope. I'm scared 😳 😢
