- Jesse Kempson was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison. It will be 17 years before he’s eligible for parole. He’ll be 45, but still capable of shattering more families the way he did the Millane family.

Sick sick Jerk. I wish that the courts would NEVER let him out because he will just start up the same old routine of lying and tricking girls to date him. It is so sad that she wasn't there for her brother's wedding just because this jerk did what he did. I am thankful for the 'eye in the sky' to be solving so many cases now.

I was part of a search party that went to look for Grace. It shook me to my core when I found out what happened to her as I was on tinder at that time and lived near where she was found. Suffice to say I left that app and will never go back on it.

The very idea that he could potentially get out as early as age 45 in spite of being given a life sentence is mind-blowing and so inappropriate. How can that be justice?? He needs to come out of prison feet first in a bag. That is the problem with some Western countries being too lenient on their sentences when murder has been involved. Hope he spends his life locked up. He will still be dangerous at 45.
Okay but shout out to New Zealand for having good quality CCTV literally everywhere. Skycity has... a lot of the CCTV cameras.. Because of the high crime at night that built over the years... It's so sad to see the whole thing play out.. Knowing the story anyway... I bet the staff were absolutely shattered when they discovered that he carried her lifeless body through their hotel without even knowing... Because he carried the bags the way anyone would...Because of cameras they had enough evidence to charge him for her murder....This is a result of a leader who actually cares about her citizens and guests...
Then why does new Zealand protect the murderer by keeping his name private or how bout the president apologizes to the family but yet the monster gets parole in 17 years at the age of 45!!!!!???? Realy

Damn it, this is so sad and heartbreaking. She knew the rules of Tinder dating, she followed them, and she was killed by this inhuman monster in human form, anyway. And she was supposed to be a bridesmaid at her brother's wedding, too. And to think, if it hadn't been for all of the CCTV's, the New Zealand cops wouldn't have caught him. This didn't have to happen, but it did.
Imagine what she could have done with her life. Would she have been successful in her new career? Would she have fallen in love with the right man, and maybe got married, and had kids? We'll never know, thanks to him.

"Well officer, i woke up and found her dead on the floor!! I went into panic (and went to buy a suitcase, a rug cleaner, hired a car, went an another Tinder date, threw away all her possessions and drove her body 45 minutes away). Well that's normal panic behaviour if ever I heard it!!!!

Why is a life sentence not a life sentence in other countries? I don't understand. My Aunts killer got life without parole and that's exactly what it means. He won't ever walk free again and that helps me to know I won't ever just randomly run into him. I couldn't bare it. I'm so sorry this happened to Grace and her family. Belonging to the group of people that have lost someone to violence is one of the things I wouldn't wish on anyone.

The youth of today automatically go to tinder to meet people, it’s beyond me as an older female but I know this is what they do, s also if if if you are going to do this do not go with them where there is not a big crowd and keep it that way. I was on a free dating site for years without ever having a bad date (granted I’d only agree to meet maybe once a year, and still keep in touch with most). One night I was online when a new guy in the neighboring town said “Hi”, something about having moved from another part of the state, and signed his name. I was interested given that we were in the same line of work and he had just opened his own business. Then his very next question was if I was the type to “let just anyone into my pants”, and signed his name again. That type of question sent major red flags and told me that he wasn’t playing with a full deck since my profile made it clear that I was seeking someone who possessed an extraordinary amount of emotional intelligence. Immediately blocked him and googled his name. He had served 17 years for stabbing his elderly landlord over 30 times.
Don’t ignore ANY flags. I’d much rather be alone than be with someone that I don’t deem appropriate.
