Unfortunately addiction is very complex. It’s easy for people who don’t suffer from addiction to sit back and say why would someone do that to themselves, but it’s no different than any other sort of mental illness in terms of all logic going out the window. An addict’s brain can crave substances the same way a human who has been deprived of water for an extended period would crave hydration. It doesn’t make addicts inherently bad people by any means, just sick people who need proper treatment. I agree that meth is very dangerous, but that doesn’t matter to someone who isn’t well. They are not thinking of how they’re going to destroy their lives, they’re just trying to quiet the beast. Addiction is absolute hell.

Its criminal that there aren't resources for people to use to get help when its obvious something is wrong. So many people saw something was wrong but theres no magic number you can dial and have someone get the help they need. CPS has so many cases that they cant possibly catch every child in crisis. DHS is the same.911 and the police could only do so much until tragedy happened. Im so sorry those poor babies went through that and my heart goes out to them their families and the first responders. Seeing something that horrific you could never really recover from that.

Chris and Amy you guys have the absolute best storytelling style on RUclips. Really appreciate your delivery and honestly the face time with you guys where it's not just always imagery, but you telling us the story is quite captivating. ❤
The psychosis suffered by this woman was obviously horrific. But she doesn't get to avoid responsibility obviously based on having been brain damaged from chronic meth use. Amazing that she was so messed up from the drugs that she had nothing in her system when she committed this insanity and these horrible crimes.
Somehow back in the 1970s we knew never to touch methamphetamine. (Nor angel dust, for that matter.) We knew, word had it, it was the general consensus that it was dangerous and the one thing, (among a couple others,) that one should steer the hell clear of. Obviously I'm talking as someone who was influenced by drug culture and had access. As did everyone I knew.
I wonder if it was the general lack of permissibility of drug taking in that era that made us more discerning and cautious knowing that there was a limit regarding what substances were safe and less likely to cause long-term problems. Granted some people got long-term problems from the LSD. And some with cocaine.
Obviously cannabis has become widely accepted and while generally relatively tame does cause some people psychosis. We know the dangers of drinking too much alcohol as well. I just cannot fathom how anyone thinks that taking methamphetamine is something they want to do.
The absolute very worst human behaviors and aspects of humanity that I am aware of seem to have been expressed or undertaken under the influence of crystal meth, meth, methamphetamine whatever you want to call that crap, that poison.

They only think about where the next high will come from. They care NOTHING about anyone ,even themselves, just their next high! Its getting really bad, which is why I am leaving! Sadly, many people i know here have bought houses, remodeled, etc, not easy for them to give up what they worked SO hard for 😢 My former neighbor was shot in the butt and a picture window shot out , thankfully it was just a pellet gun, so he only had a broken window and sore butt. I had a kid shoot at me through my kitchen window who kept shooting, even when I yelled! He didnt stop til the cops arrived, and because he was a minor, all they did was take his air-soft gun. I knew this meth dealer guy that drove around with a push mower shoved in his back seat with the handle hanging out the rear door window. After seeing it in there several different times I asked him, why do you have a lawn mower in your car all the time. His answer shows just how far out there the drug makes them.
It was in case the cops pulled him over so they would be able to see he’s just out and about running his lawn care business.

    This is so sad
Those poor twins had to lose their lives bc of their mom’s mental illness & doing drugs didn’t help
I do hope the prison is treating her depression I think she should be in a mental institution instead of prison

It takes 72 hours for meth to leave someones ststem after their lasy use. Im sure depending on what and how much you eat or drink can cause it to leave your system sooner.
So she could have killed them and spiraled so quickly because she was going through withdrawals.
Also, using meth, even just once can trigger schizotypal behavior for life.

So. Maybe it’s just me? But I feel like she should have been sent to a mental hospital. She was clearly a paranoid schizophrenic or some brand of it. But they sent her to legit prison. A criminal kills their family for some kind of gain or some kind of freedom. She gained nothing. For weeks she expressed her fear and paranoia to everyone around her. She was batshit crazy. And needed help mentally by professionals.

Chris, hard drugs definitely does not include mushrooms!!! I appreciate people's opinions but mushrooms is in the medical field to open people's minds and understanding. Meth is a hard drug created to confuse and destroy. BIG difference!!! Still love the channel and not trying to hate
