I’ve just had a operation 4 weeks ago for colon cancer and I had no symptoms at all. I originally went in to get my piles sorted and the doctor suggested I have a colonoscopy because of my age 56. This is where I had polyps removed and they found a 6 cm growth under my liver which was after tests results was cancer. I am now recovering from my operation and think I am lucky they did a full colonoscopy at the time or I wouldn’t have known to this day I had cancer.

Further CT scan was done and diagnosis was Stage 4 carcinoma rectal cancer with a 95-98% rectal mass and spread throughout my body including the liver. Pain scale was beyond 10 in my perspective. I just wanted to be in a fetal position in a dark, secluded corner and shut the world out. This video helped me a lot to understand more about this colon cancer.👍

I have an appt with Gastro next week. I've been having blood and change in bowel movement (shape, color, consistency) for a few months now. I got a positive Cologuard result also.
I, too, had a positive result from an at-home screening test in January 2022. I scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist who removed three polyps that turned out to be benign, but I must confess I was worried.
I been having discomfort for a long time i also have a lump on my right side under my ribs that i can see when lying down and i have very soft stools. Great informations but we’re can one get help especially at a certain age. Getting extrem pain told to go to the hospital but those pains are ignored and getting tested for stroke or heart issues which was not the reason had to go to the emergencies. Had test done not for the stomach pain and told see your family doctor. Getting the run around now for two years. Paid privately for an MRI Yes they are problems but couldn’t pinpoint were coming from. I suspect having stomach ulcer. Ask for a breath test told by do tor they are not done, ask the lab yes we do them. Needed a requisition got four of them which lab couldn’t accept because doctor had to go online to print one out but was not aware of it only after I persisted and after a run around finally will get this particular test to see if my problem is an ulcer. As a senior it is terrible to get help are those the golden years to be written off by the health care system here in Canada. Why do we have this unneeded stress. Is this respect for the elders and who is responsible and behind the agenda how not and l repeat not to give seniors the care and respect in their last years of life

My husband is scheduled for a colonoscopy in a couple weeks. He had one in 2017 . Had several polyps removed. Was told to come back in 6 months to remove more. (1 was precancerous) at that time. He didn’t go back. I’m concerned and he is also. In addition he’s a prostate cancer survivor. Had radiation and seed implants a year and a half ago. He’s had unexplained pains in his hip and groin area. Swelling in ankle. Doctors diagnosed arthritis. He has COPD and still smokes. He’s 67 and looks very well. I pray everything goes well with the colonoscopy. Thanks for sharing . 🙏🏿
In the United States, colon cancer screening recommendations now state you should get your first screening at age 45. This means that in most cases if you have insurance this is covered 100% as preventive care. You should be able to get a pre-procedure estimate from the facility that you’re scheduled with. If you have a family history of colon cancer, it’s worth contacting your insurance company to ask that they cover screenings earlier. The guideline is ten years before the age a first degree relative was diagnosed with cancer, so if your parent had it at 45, start asking for screenings at 35. If you’re appealing an insurance denial, always point out how much more cost effective it will be to catch it early.
Thanks for your information. All you've mentioned is what I'm experiencing. I've undergone a series of tests. Such as colonoscopy, ctscan & MRI. Today will be discussed by my surgeon/ oncologist the stage of my colorectal cancer. 😢 12:40 .
I hope all goes well with you my friend. As I'm about to have an appointment with my own oncologist in August. I have exhibited symptoms of multiple myeloma. I'm 65 this does not bother me.
i had colonoscopy yesterday. My symptoms started after a bit long-lasting constipation, then alternating Constipation-diarrhea followed by indigestion and Heavy weight loss (8kg in 6months). After having many medications, finally i made my mind to have the colonoscopy and i got it yesterday. There was nothing found in colon, no any polyp but a little inflammation of intestine. Doctor then took a biopsy whose result has not come yet. it will take 20 days 😢. But after enema, the colonoscopy treatment, and taking medicines recommended by doctor ( got for 2 times yet )? i am still feeling constipated and my problem has not been resolved. 😢
I got a church with a nurse he used to work on a colon cancer floor and said that all the people that died could probably have avoided it with some treatment. Is one of the most treatable cancers. I’m yet to meet anyone that said they were not glad to have been saved from their colon cancer
I understand what you are saying. Everyone has to make that decision for themselves. For some it's the quality of life not the quantity. Meaning, some would rather have a shorter life without going through surgeries, rounds and rounds of chemo, and radiation. And for some, they'll go through all that and still die. Others, are like, they'll just have a much shorter time and make the most of it!!

How are you doing? Did you go to the doc? Get rid of constipation: drink water. Lots of vitamin E natural (d alpha tocophetol); avoid sugars and carbs. Take magnesium citrate, add fiber abd veggies to diet. Visit a gastroenterologist. Begin to add an inch of aloe arborrscens to smoothies (include green part) just remove spikes. You can also begin drinking guanabana leaf tea daily. Three dried leaves in one litter boiling water. Let boil couple minutes, turn off and covet. Drink through out day. Repeat for ten days. Rest a week and repeat.

all treatments, i wish i could achieve some sort of “ come back” against the surgery Doctors so that others don’t experience myself & my 2daughters went though we were together for 53 years & we all miss her everyday ❤️RIP Musetta.
I guy at my old job 20 years ago said his poop was black, and I told him you might have cancer...years later turns out he did in fact have colon cancer.
Thank you for this health issue what is important to everybody!
I have an appt with Gastro next week. I've been having blood and change in bowel movement (shape, color, consistency) for a few months now. I got a positive Cologuard result also.
I wish you well!
Try not to panic. Cologard has a 66% false positive record. I got a positive result too. Then took the gold standard FIT test. It was negative.
@@dudzinski324 what is the FIT?
I, too, had a positive result from an at-home screening test in January 2022. I scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist who removed three polyps that turned out to be benign, but I must confess I was worried.
@@armoricain I'm glad to hear it was benign. It's hard not to be concerned right?
I been having discomfort for a long time i also have a lump on my right side under my ribs that i can see when lying down and i have very soft stools. I've seen the Dr a few times but he dismissed it , i have lost alot of weight but I'm on keto and thinking it's working really really well. Two weeks ago i had extreme pain and went to A&E. They gave me a CT scan and I have a blocked bowel, now im waiting for a colonoscopy. I'm not sure what to think it's a bit of a worry, hopefully it can be sorted. Thanks for the video.
How are you now?

Great information thank you so much
You're so welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Is this respect for the elders and who is responsible and behind the agenda how not and l repeat not to give seniors the care and respect in their last years of life
@@hildegardstratkotter6576 Exactly. Same in the States. Many doctors ignore the older population. I’m glad you were persistent and know what you have. Have a blessed Christmas.
Thousands of thanks and thanks for sharing this video, I’ve satisfied with that, now I understand, it's good to remind of that...
A million thanks for sharing..GOD bless..
I survived Bowel cancer twice both times I saw blood in the loo and went straight to my doctor. This was in 2007 & 2011, both times I had major surgery the last operation was 12 hours. If you ever see blood do not hesitate in going to the loo, another symptom I had was I would think I had diarrhoea i would run to the loo only for it to be all gas that came out.
❤
Is the blood really obvious? My stool is quite dark recently and I'm scared.

Went to see the doctor immediately and that's when she sent me to a cancer specialist and as soon as I went in within the month they had me into surgery and I had my chemo and everything and that wasn't bad at all. I wasn't afraid I told the doctor whatever she did I would trust her and it would be my best that I could have so this is how it all turned out and I knew that also my God was there with me as well as the doctor's please don't waste your time go right away and do as the man said he knew exactly what I went through and what I did so anyway I will say thank you again for this very nice speaking that you did for us I will always keep on making sure everything is okay with me but I feel the best now thank you again and made people all people listen to what you have

One Colon cancer n two lung cancer
You need to check see a dr.. lusten to your body..
This was in 2007 & 2011, both times I had major surgery the last operation was 12 hours
Very informative. Can you tell cancer signs months before? The answer is YES ...⚕
I'm so sorry to hear that, praying for your speedy recovery.
I hope all goes well with you my friend. As I'm about to have an appointment with my own oncologist in August. I have exhibited symptoms of multiple myeloma. I'm 65 this does not bother me.
Robert and Evelyn , Hope you are both going to be okay.❤🌼

Thanks for your information
Welcome, thanks for watching. Wishing you the best of health.
Thank u very much for the best information
Yes, I am going through all these signs.
i had colonoscopy yesterday. My symptoms started after a bit long-lasting constipation, then
alternating Constipation-diarrhea followed by indigestion and Heavy weight loss (8kg in 6months).
😢
Hope you're better now!
Q: Is it true that when you consistently give out stools that doesn't smell could be a sign of Colon CA?
Thank you so much for this info..
What can be confusing is the side effects that various medications can have….
Very informative video, good facts presented
I am sure I have colon cancer but I am not willing to go through chemo treatments..I feel I will live longer without knowing and treatments
I got a church with a nurse he used to work on a colon cancer floor and said that all the people that died could probably have avoided it with some treatment. Is one of the most treatable cancers. I’m yet to meet anyone that said they were not glad to have been saved from their colon cancer
try eating anti cancer foods
I understand what you are saying. Everyone has to make that decision for themselves. For some it's the quality of life not the quantity. Meaning, some would rather have a shorter life without going through surgeries, rounds and rounds of chemo, and radiation. And for some, they'll go through all that and still die. Others, are like, they'll just have a much shorter time and make the most of it!!
@@RS-dm4yo yes you are right.. got through one treatment and then fall and break ribs cause your weak from chemo and spend the rest of your life unable to move due to broke ribs cause they are painful
I have been a nurse for over 30 years and I have watched and seen it happen over and over again, my grandmother died from this cancer and my father died from pancreatic cancer and working hospice they have all said the same thing.. they were too weak to enjoy anything after or during chemo.. but I do think you guys should all try anything that will give you a longer life.. especially if you catch it early..

So what are the first steps to take if you have some of these symptoms? Contact your general practitioner? Or should you seek a gastrointestinal specialist?
I have stage 3 Colon , I had weight loss but my main symptom was I thought I had a kidney stone that’s why I went to the Dr and found out it was Colon cancer

6yrs ago they found a polit size of finger tip small they told me that it would have to come out lv always been tired am on iron but now the took me off tabs am still weak alway want to sleep am on gastrc tab am on oxygen they was going to take it out i was told it didnt grow fast anyway covid came and they canceld i didnt go back 3yrs on now they havnt sent for me but am 67 now and i feel fine just my breathing getting me down at 67 ive had a good life and up bringing carnt see the point now
Go back and get checked.
Or ask for a test kit.

This is what happened to me.
It was diverticulitis.
First three is what i deal with. Fourth is iffy; fifth i get that fatigue feeling
Thanks so very much for sharing such an informative message!
My lower right abdomen pains daily
Constipation on a regular
Been to the doctor he said it might be a lazy bowl
But unfortunately until today I have no answer for this pain I have
Get a second opinion from a different doctor. Don't wait. It's better to know for sure.
Went to 4 doctors
One said it might be a infection
Two said it might be a muscle strain
Three said it might just be constipation
Four said lazy bowl
Good afternoon my mum just found out that she have colon cancer it worries me. thanks for the information
My mother died she had colon cancer it destroys me everyday
🙏🤞💯❤️ May your mother have a complete and speedy recovery. X
I had colonoscope taken 3 1/2 years ago, I feel it should be checked every 3 - 5 years.
In my opinion, I would NEVER have Colorguard taken.
I rather have an GI doctor do a colonoscopy done to check for polyps or anything else they check for.
I have had 2 cousins ( sisters ) who died from Colon Cancer.
I have GI issues already and I keep tracked of this on a daily basis, all this becomes overwhelming.
There's so many functions in your body, it's very stressful.
Cologard has a 66% false positive rate. Oh, and it’s a $700.00 test!
thank you...truly!
I of to call my GI specialist..cause my bowel movement is strange...i was on the intermittent fasting so i dont know if the way i eat changes my bowel movement...and i also feel something there and my lower back hurts sometimes..thanks for the video 😊
I wonder at times why do they out all these videos out , when your dr still wont listen to you .
i have all symptoms now i am anxiety proned 😮
How are you now!?
Sometime i feel swear itchy in my colon .. this is due to spicy food.. when i press my left side of belly then itchy stopped..
Same problem.
Been battling mine for three years. Mine was caught early my tumor was only 6 cm when they first found it 3 months later when I was due for surgery it was a footlong mine was very aggressive and basically in remission but all the contrast from the CTS and everything cause kidney disease now
Did you try food as treatment as well?
Dr. Eduardo Beltran in Spain on RUclips can help you save your kidneys. He is so smart & kind. He has a CKD Protocol document he will send you if you reach out to him.
Im dreading these tests im tryin to get out of doing them im scheduled September 25th
