Wow! I directed a high school production of "Legally" so I know this show well. You really nailed it. I thought Elle was talented and lovable. So are you. I thought the "Oh, Oh, Oh," sound was handled brilliantly. So clever. Your performance was outstanding. The staging, direction, vocal coaching and overall quality was amazing.

It all depends on what type of school you go to. Most American schools are so uptight-Christian-"anything sexual will turn you into a raging hormonal teenager so lets ban it all" based and would go catatonic at any sign of things like that.
I'm going to be playing Elle in May for my spring musical at my Highschool ! Super excited... I can totally relate and agree to your comment when you said you found a part of elle's personality that you related to and brought it forward in the performances. I think that is how i actually landed the role. I brought the silliness and sassiness to elle's personality forward which i think could make anyone stand out when comparing to others... Anyways loved your performance!! Just curious because this video was posted a while ago.. What do you do now?

So you're school took advantage of MTI's transpositions on demand. Handy, isn't it? Definitely opens up these shows to a lot more students. Loved your change of dialogue and scripting with the faked orgasm, btw. Much more appropriate - not to mention, HILARIOUS!
Actually, we just used the West End version of the show and used MTI on a few of the male songs. And thank you very much! We had a great director, who also is a writer and rewrote quite a few things in the show!

Hi, I am auditioning for this character in the summer, and was wondering, what were some of the vocal tips you used when singing this? I know a lot of this song is in the upper belt range- any tips controlling it and making sure it isn't pushed?
bogey0420 Hi there! I'm by no means a vocal coach or anything, but I was trained with the speech level singing technique. So for me, it's all about placement. Make sure you're singing healthily and not reaching for notes. If you can work with a certified vocal coach, I would definitely encourage it! Best of luck to you!
