RIP Chester :(, these guys were a huge part of my high school years. They were huge in the late 90's/early 2000's and had a lot of hits around that era, Crawling, In the End, One Step Closer, Numb, Pts. of Athrty, etc. You should listen to One More Light, it was one of their last songs before Chester passed away. The live versions are so powerful, he would get out into the crowd and sing the song while embracing them, one of the most raw and powerful performances I've seen an artist have. The videos labeled "Linkin Park - One More Light (Rock Werchter 2017)" and "Last Show Chester Bennington Linkin Park One More Light Birmingham 06.07.17" are both great.
Same here. I was on the highway driving home to West Palm Beach from North Carolina, and when I got word on the radio Chester died, I had to pull over in Savannah to get a breather. That shit hit hard. Felt like a chapter in my life shut for good with his death. :(
Yeah, all of Linkin Park's music has a lot of energy. I would highly recommend you also react to their song "In The End". It's also one with a lot of deeper meaning and the musicality of it has always drawn me in. It's honestly what drew me to the band in the first place.
It is sad that all these great songs came from sexual abuse from an older teen who befriended him. The demons of these events are what caused him to take his own life.
I'm pretty sure Numb is one of Mike's songs. Mike has actually written almost all their songs. But of course, Chester's passion singing it comes from himself. He did co-write Crawling, and Easier to Run as well.
ball boy jones That is heartbreaking. I knew he died but I didn’t know it was suicide. My family went through that with my brother and it was terrible and I mean the worst thing anybody can go through.
Lisa Picanso this is exactly why I heavily implore people to check on their friends & loved ones who have lost friends & loved ones to suicide. Birthdays are the hardest and from my understanding Chester took his life on Chris’s first birthday after death. I definitely felt it on my younger brother’s first birthday after death, and I feel it too on every single one of my birthdays since he took his life. It’s the hardest thing in the world and I don’t wish it on anyone.
If you actually listen to these songs, you can feel his pain. It's so sad he hurt so deeply. Such a bright star burned out way to quickly. RIP Chester.
Damn... this band really has HUGE impact on our music back than (born '83), and their songs surely won't be forgotten... RIP Chester, farewell from Germany, hope you're still rockin'!
Love it! You hit it on the head about a parent. It's supposed to be about his father. I love what you said about him yelling back at the person. Like, he's done with the numbness and he's fighting back against it. Great video!
Ugh. I miss that man. What a loss. I've been listening to them for almost 20 years and regret I never saw them live. My condolences to his family. Great song. Thanks, MRM.
RIP Chester, I have been a fan of Linkin Park since day one. Chester sang like an angel and screamed like a demon. He inspired so many people to help others and to love each other. Despite the struggles and problems that he faced himself. He gave us everything he had in his music and showed us something special. He helped so many. I seen a comment on a tribute for him after it was announced that he had taken his own life, "He saved millions and in the end millions couldn't save one." In the end he did matter, and it was a tragedy that he left us the way he did. But his memory lives on not just in his music but in the lives of his family and those he has had a strong impact on. There are plenty more songs by Linkin Park that are heartfelt and honest, there is something about them that just about everyone can relate to. I highly suggest listening to more of their songs! Especially "In the end" "One more light" (Especially this one.) "Heavy" is another good one, I could go on and on!
Thank you! I feel that its the honest truth! A lot of people complained in the past their lyrics were too main stream or corny. But I tend to disagree, there is a truth to them and regardless to how one interprets them, we can all find something to relate to in them. And that is what makes them so special :D
Had the pleasure of seeing LP live in 2008. Best concert I have ever seen! Recordings did Chester no justice at all. His shear vocal power blew me away live!
I've loved Linkin Park since I was in high school and I used to crank this song when I was mad at my mom.... We're much closer now, but she used to put a lot of pressure on me and sometimes it was too much! RIP CB You are definitely missed! Incredible lyricist, incredible vocals legendary presence!
It was a tough year with the tragic loss of Chris Cornell and then Chester Bennington. I never thought we’d lose either and I miss their music greatly. Chris had one of the best vocals period and Chester’s voice rocked too. So very sad.
Chester was one of the best voices in rock. I don't think I speak only for myself when I say that we can tell when a note hits you. You always grab the back of your head lol. You couldn't play poker. I love your reactions. I believe they are heartfelt.
Amazing watching u watch him. What a deep feeling he forces u to feel. Wait...your just scratching tge surface of chester. I still remember the exact second i heard he was gone and right after he sang at his friends funeral for same thing. That friend is chris cornell. Beyond amazing. U will hear his voice and spend days finding more music from them. Rip both of u angels.
R.I.P. Chester...darn it all, I miss him so much. But I'm sure his family misses him more...their song " Valentine's Day" has always amazed me in so deep a way, if u could react to that 1, that would be great. No pressures!! lol.
Chester had a hard time fighting his demons and in the end (another great song by Linkin Park) his demons won. He is missed as he sang for all of us who went through all sorts of abuse and fighting our demons as well as being a wonderful, kind man. RIP Chester Bennington!!

Unfortunately Chester was suffering from severe depression and in his last album that came out I believe right after or just before he took his own life you can really tell by his lyrics in an interview also he talked about it and he was a admitted perfectionist and after breaking his leg he no longer could preform with his normal energy without using something for pain and it sent him into a deep depression there is a video of him playing a board game with his family 30 some hours before he passed and he's laughing and joking that's how well he masked his depression !! If anyone knows anyone going through this type of depression or if you are Chester's wife has a foundation to help I will get the details and post it later if that's ok ? My brother suffered depression from child abuse by a close family friend of ours, but we didn't find out until this pervert died from cancer. That's when all the truth started emerging. My family is devastated from finding out this guy who we thought we knew really well would do such a thing as this. My brother just couldn't take the emotional pain anymore and was 51 when he died, so he suffered from all this for a very long time, and he also hung himself. So very sad. Just goes to show that you can't trust anyone. RIP Chester.
@@RobGamesOn "He had been doing great since joining LP" -- no, he was struggling all those years as well. He was always open about still struggling mentally. To truly see how much the song and Chester affected people, you should Google the version of Numb as sung by the crowd at a memorial concert. They put a wreath around the mic stand, played the music and the crowd sang the whole thing... goose bumps!!
Hi Ty. I have 3 sons who all love Linkin Park. I have a picture of the three of them as they were leaving the house to go to a concert, their dad made them pose for me. Ha! I learned to actually like their music too, because of my sons. I told them that you never know what someone carries deep in their souls that causes them to take their lives. What pain they must feel to think it's the only way out. We were all saddened by Chester Bennington's suicide. Just a thought from a "Ma" who loves her "guys" ❤.
I like this guy. I’ve seen other reaction videos, but most will play a few seconds and then make some comment, which takes me out of the moment and ruins the flow of the song. This makes me feel how I would introduce some songs to my friends that normally listen to a different style or just plain missed out. He listens to the whole song first with an occasional comment or reaction. This also helps reintroduce me to songs I loved in the past. I also like the variety, since my own tastes vary as well. Johnny Cash, The Eurythmics, Weird Al Yankovich, Queen . . . And I like how Chester Bennington really catches him by surprise each time he goes from his sweet, smoothly singing voice to his primal-scream singing.
This band is amazing. So glad you did a reaction video. Like many others, this band helped me out of some really intense shit in my life. Recasted when Chester passed. It’s a sad song (especially now that he is gone) but should check out “one more light” and honestly any song by them lol. Side note;m: just starting watching and I’m loving the reaction vids 💕
You cant underestimate what a loss he was to the music world. Chester along with David Draiman have ( had :( ) 2 of the best voices in rock. Not only could Chester belt out the rock god voice, but his tone was so good, and he could hold it, listen to more of LP songs and you will see just how good a vocalist, not just singer, but a vocalist he really was. I, along with many, many others were totally devastated when i learned of his passing, such a huge loss. Such a talent, such a loss :(
You should listen to Fear, by Blue October...he found God after years of bipolar disorder/depression and drugs, etc...and it's about not allowing fear to control your life. His emotion is similar this in a way.
RIP CHESTER!! I blast this every time I hear it! It hit me about my parents. Very controlling, loving, but controlling. The day I heard Chester had committed suicide, I broke down. I listened to nothing but their music for at least a week. Still breaks my heart! They were my teenage years...
Linkin park was one of those rare bands that had 2 lead singers though Chester was the most recognized the other had a more softer voice I hope he continues linkin park in Chester’s honor I know he and the rest of the band has worked with other artists in Chester’s memory

R. I. P. Chester !!!! You will be missed dearly by your family, friends and fans
Great song! I still jam out to Numb. Timeless classic!
Rage. Rage Rock. Life is more than just love songs.
Such a talent, such a loss :(
Breaking the habit, Crawling and In the end are all good choices for them
By Myself from their first album Hybrid Theory has deep and vulnerable lyrics from their rapper Mike
You should listen to Fear, by Blue October...he found God after years of bipolar disorder/depression and drugs, etc...and it's about not allowing fear to control your life. His emotion is similar this in a way.

"Every step that I take is another mistake to you".. R.I.P Chester
Great reaction video!!!👍👍
Chester had an amazing singing/screaming voice. Please do more Linkon Park
You should go through their discography. So much good music.
RIP CHESTER!! I blast this every time I hear it! It hit me about my parents. Very controlling, loving, but controlling. The day I heard Chester had committed suicide, I broke down. I listened to nothing but their music for at least a week. Still breaks my heart! They were my teenage years...
Loving your reactions. New subscriber
1:48 the universal reaction to Chester's screams
Linkin park was one of those rare bands that had 2 lead singers though Chester was the most recognized the other had a more softer voice I hope he continues linkin park in Chester’s honor I know he and the rest of the band has worked with other artists in Chester’s memory
That entire CD is amazing.
