Let me preface this with I'm a big fan of Destinies debates but to be fair this also happens in reverse. A lot of Destiny fans think he wins a conversation just because he talks fast and argues a point that wasn't actually made. I.e. Sargon of Akkad streams

This idea that there's a unified american culture is so funny. Every sociology related class I've taken discusses the differences between how northerners tend to behave vs southerners and even within a state how city people act vs more rural areas. I'm from Texas and everything is so Texas focused here it'd be laughable to act like it's the same culture as other states. We have to take Texas history classes and lots of hotels have Texas shaped waffles.

The dude literally laid out that by arguing against incest as immoral ‘just because it is gross’ is an appeal to emotion, which is exactly what the debate hosts/mods did. Destiny specifically called it morally neutral, and stated that he was personally not for it. But destiny got caught up trying to help the guy understand the difference between a moral and personal objection that he didnt even get to point out how the guy’s original objection should be pointed at the hosts. It was cringe as fuck. But to Destiny’s credit, by helping the guy through the argument and clarifying everything, he perfectly demonstrated how he is more concerned with truth and constructing logical arguments than just slam dunking on shitty logic, because that was the easiest alley oop of a claim ever.

I just stumbled on this and I have to say I’m really impressed with Destiny’s composure and his thought process. I used to listen to Dick Masterson’s show and I probably don’t agree with Destiny on politics and what not but I’m in awe of how this guy handles himself in arguments. Very entertaining and thought provoking stuff!

Best that I can find directly as I doubt most who oppose it would be happy to see an MSNBC link. In fact most studies that show the opposite are cropped heavily like the Heritage study was heavily skewed, and was found to be quite inaccurate by professionals. The Essen Inventory as it's called is one of the more comprehensive ones.
@Oof Oof That's because I specifically threw out three different links in relation of these things because I was specifically talking about how studies can be misinterpreted, or misused. Because you took that study as 'it disproves your point' without interpreting what the study was for.
It was representing self-perception of health, and how after the surgery is done they may insist that they feel amazing now, but then have that feeling decline, which can lead to a higher risk of suicide (What destiny talks about) stating these people need more help than just giving them the surgery because there's a lot more that goes into a gender transition.
I love it when people fall into a really simple trap that shows their inability to interpret not just what data says, but their intentions and meanings for the collection of that data.
It's really suspcious how they moved on from that really reasonable danish guy as fast as they could.
