Little over a year later and it’s still clear Eric CRUSHED that drum solo
I assume he drums metal, different kit I think. Might not fit a comedy podcast as well but dang I love metal drumming nothing can beat that.
100x more difficult than the crap the house drummer came out with
I honestly believe y’all are insane
@@Dontbesosoft there's no debating that 🤘🏻
I have been digging into back KT episodes: when Eric first hit the stage, I did a double-take thinking it was that Opera singer dude in the local shirt. BOTH are very talented musicians!
It's a shame none of them realized how much better/more difficult the Swedish drummer's solo was than the other dude. Dude is insanely talented and had a great personality.
Yeah he pulled out some real chops
HVus GB i
I was hoping for some deathy blastbeat
@antro_oner I mean, though he wasn’t doing it on the way like Slaughter to Prevail or infant annihilator does on his cuntcrusher lol, but he deff had a lil aspect of it going on there it seemed.
Either way I thought it was pretty obvious his solo was much better tbh. What’s crazy is the amount of people even in the comments trying to say his was horrible and that he clearly lost were. Like I thought it was pretty freaking obvious who won and who lost this solo lol. Which if we see no matter what, unless Aaron Kitcher himself was to show up and do it himself he’d win based on the bias of the crowd sadly.
But yeah it would be cool to one day see someone get up there with some blast beats and double bass and all and go full deathcore lol.
Eric 100% won that solo. Dude got on an unfamiliar drumset, too, and still owned it.
Without even warming up.
As a drummer I can say that drumming at an unfamiliar drum set can be a real challenge and Eric completely crushed it
Literally that shit blows me away that he could just sit down at a random kit and kill like that
@@Chickenkoops all the little things add up! Placement, height, and angle of the toms, snare, and cymbals! Getting used to the foot pedal too, and I don’t have my hihat open too much. I love my 7A wood tip sticks and feel that I play better than when I use thicker. I feel the SMALLEST adjustments or movements on a drumset. All these can throw me off pretty well without first taking some time to hit everything and adjust myself.
@@EzkPalacio I feel that, i play in a jazz band and it feels like it’s always set up a little bit differently and it can really throw me off
As a pizza delivery driver, I can tell you the Swedish guy won the drum off
As a pizza delivery driver, i concur
Don't you find this very conspiritual and sussy baki of you that we got a dutch-arabic shooter wearing what seems like a pizza delivery guy uniform on a spree that is off looking for swedish people to murder in brussels right this very moment and your prediction of this 7 days ago is spot on? Lock this man up 😱😱😱
as a drummer. Swedish guy swept
what is the difference between a large pizza and a drummer?
a large pizza can feed a family of four...
😂😂😂
The comedian won the drum off. He sounded so much better he made the drum kit sound like they was playing on different drum sets
Exactly
True but the stakes are too high for Tony to say otherwise
He’s a drummer from Sweden. Imagine if he’d had a double bass.
Agreed
yep. I hope he sees this
As a drummer I had such a huge smile on my face watching him come up and kill it after struggling through his minute lol. He was awesome
100 percent right but we’re trusting someone who thinks Hans Kim is funny
Im a drummer too and I can tell he did way better than the mexican
His minute wasn’t even that bad
@hectorlumbagoCringe your biased or you don't know shit about music. He did better job than the regular Mexican.
he came down from mountain for this
As a drummer, Michael Gonzalez’s solo didn’t TOUCH that guys solo. Tony rigs everything 😂😂
Facts
Sold that the way he tries to sell Hans as being funny.
My school bus got run off the road into a creek when i was in 4th grade and Eric saved all 27 children, the bus driver AND our 200kg bus aid. The man is a saint and more kindness radiates from Eric than any human I've ever met.
I'm a professional classical/jazz musician, and the Swedish guy clearly won the drum-off.
Yeah no shit.
Crowd decides and they decided
He very much did the best job, but Michael technically won because the audience is invested in keeping the resident drummer. There’s been a handful of times when a professional drummer has came on and performed better than Joel and I think one other time when somebody outdid Michael, but they never beat them due to the applause being the deciding factor.
No because dude
won it with ease, and not on his own kit
The swedish dude Eric clearly won. He also took those jokes with great humor and grace. We need more swedish Eric. If he made a channel I'd watch it
his laugh was amazing.
The guy was fucking awful dude, what are you talking about?
@@spencerk_9776 you’re definitely not a drummer
It was equal...Michael Gonzalez is awesome.
he does have a channel if you did any 2 second research, and I'll say it again but only non-musicians think Michael Gonzales lost
Hilarious how the most replayed moment of any Kill Tony video is when Hans leaves the stage.
😂 He might just suck or something
Not replayed, skipped to 😂
nobody skips Kam Patterson though
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can't get over the Swedish dude. Homie laughs exactly like Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy
The bands' reaction to Eric's drum solo speaks so many volumes. Dude's skilled.
This. D Madness called it out too lol. The house drummer, Gonzalez, even knew dude had him beat when they panned over to him. XD They're not going to tell someone to randomly move to play drums for them though. You know they turned up the volume for house drummer and rigged the results too lol. Which is fine, because everyone knows who really won so it's fine 🤣
@mdrieber I agree it's all fanfare, but it's still cool that this show will randomly do drum battles. Tony should do like a cash prize if you beat the drumer or something like that. But unfortunately just liying to people is probably easiest at this point.
@@mdrieberBro was just hitting the crash symbols as much as possible
if you listen the applause it's like 1000x more after he's done vs. the "vote." doesn't matter anyway though they're not gonna actually ditch the resident drummer live onstage. literally everyone knows who won tho
Swedish dude just bombed nervous as shit in a full house then sat at the drums and made a statement in the standoff. Slayed it brother.
As a water purification specialist, I can tell you the Swedish guy clearly won the drum-off
🤣🤣😂😂
Changing filters for Culligan doesn't make you a water purification specialist
"What, are they going to send up to war with water balloons?"
😂😂😂
i bet youve never purified a fucking drop
The comments here are all about the Swedish drummer. He absolutely killed it.
Even tho that was a 2 min bit in a 2 hour long video. Can’t people comment something else
That Swedish drummer made the kick sound like it had a double bass pedal. Absolutely insane. Had to re watch a few times. Been a fan long enough to know any contender will not win that battle, but this guy was absolutely the 1st to win in my book. You guys should keep Michael Gonzalez and have that guy sub!
It's called heel-toe it's not the most advanced technique but yeah he is definitely better

"Stockholm or downs" is about as perfect as a joke gets in this context. Felt bad for Eric, but definitely want to be his friend. Legend.
Wow! That Swedish Drummer was phenomenal! He won the competition by a fairly wide margin.
Swedish guy definitely won the drum off… for Austin being the live music capital of the world you would think it’s inhabitants would know at least one thing about good quality music 😂🤦🏻♂️
Bro. Are you stupid? It's a comedy show and the in house drummer has won 100% of the drum offs. There's probably a reason for that. It's a comedy show, please remember that. I know its hard for you to see the funny in that, but its there, I promise you.
I laughed at you, anyways.
loved Eric's sense of humor, laugh, personality, and bold approach. his drumming was killer too.
That swedish guy is probably some famous drummer in his home country and was too humble to brag about it. His set was so clean and he did it on a random drum set up
yeah he went easy.. wrong stool height, everything at wrong spots. He could've entertain the roof off ov that venue for solid 5 minutes I'm sure
I wish he wasn't so humble, I wanna look him up
@@mayo8029 i did a google of him he lives in france and has been playing nightly at some venue in charmonix. Balling out in a ski town.

The bear 🐻 mulett guy had a solid 60sec set, respect.
I’m a drummer and can say that Eric the Swedish guy has real solid techniques that would take a long time and a lot of practice to master. His solo may not sound easy listening or catchy, but I liked it because it sounded “musical” to the ears.
I don’t think Tony wanted this to be a real drum off but more like a fun challenge for drummers who come on the show.
I love how shane acts like the older brother to all the comedians that go up, he’ll for sure make fun of them but will defend them when someome gets too mean 😂
And Tony’s like the youngest brother who roasts you without any regard for your feelings, pride or family

I think he won, Michael seems to do the same type of solo
Seriously. Have only watched maybe 3 other drum offs but I’m seriously impressed. If the stakes weren’t so high eric would’ve won but no one was gonna let him replace Gonzales
He beat the regular imo, pretty sure he was just chillin. Regular was really playing for his job.
@@clevermissfox yeah I mean think he did beat him but logistically not possible for him to take the gig. But he won, first time I can say the challenger did that.
you mean pork chops
As a dude who works in a warehouse and enjoys short walks on the beach and some mid weed every now and then, that swedish chef muppet killed it on the drums.
Don’t kill his aspiration to do comedy, dude came from Sweden to do this. Let him get comfortable with failure so he can come up with some real heat. Dude has a great personality!
We ❤ Erik
Mark kills harder on a throwaway joke after each guests set then they do there whole minute, makes you realize just how good this dude is haha

Watching everyone fall in love with Shane Gillis over the past two years is so cool. He deserves all the good things in life.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve listened to his special and his 4 parter with Louie. My favorite line from the presidents podcast is when Louie says Cronkites serious line when jfk was shot, and Shane just says “sports”. I laugh every time

First heard of him on The Bonfire, been obsessed since. Easily one of the best comics in the game right now
If only McCuscker received as much recognition, the 432hz Shaman will have his day in the sun at some point but I'm glad Shane has been elevated in the public conscious

The Swedish psycho is a studio musician level talent and clearly won
Erik won that drumoff without question.. Michael has the home kit advantage and a rehearsed solo. Erik did not and clearly could have kept going but stopped out of modesty. He's the best to ever compete for sure.
